Most of them were killed—probably by a fox—during the day one day. They will have them again, but only with a 100% secure enclosure. I had the same thing happen to me years ago, a fox came out during the day and killed some of them. It's heartbreaking.

It depends if the clock has 2 or 3 handles. The one pointing to 9:30 might be the backside of the minute handle, but could also be the hour handle if the clock only has 2.
