Okay, so I watched the Fleuries vlog today (Fanny's is still in the queue). Please refrain from throwing your slippers or tomatoes at me, but I enjoyed it (and last week's, as well.) Remember, while they do have Patreon, that money goes towards the restoration of Honfleur. They do generate income from YT AdSense and their sponsors, which pays for their living expenses (creating content is their business), along with Anna's wallpaper classes.

Their trip last week was a family road trip throughout the South of France was lovely- they did not stay in swanky hotels, nor go on extravagant excursions. This week, they drove their car to the ferry, and went to Anna's mum & dad's house in Portsmouth- with Ziggy in tow. Anna didn't even have on makeup most of the video (I highly doubt she gets botox)! Neither Philippe nor she were dressed up- they toured the grounds of Highcliffe castle, showed their wedding photos, went to the beach where they ate fish & chips takeaways at a picnic table, and looked at the beach huts. I can't fault them for their holidays- the cost of both trips in total was probably less than Fanny's first-class plane ticket to Dubai, and they are making memories with the girls. I liked the "real-ness" of it- Anna holding a full poo bag at the beach, Ziggy running around on the beach with his new friend, the reaction from Anna's parents when they arrived. Well done, Fleuries!

One thing that really bugs me is when her ladyship had to do a fashion show when dresses arrive and all the twirling and Look at me look at me really makes my blood boil like she is so full of herself !
How all the clothes sent always seem to be the right size beats me 😂

I was surprised to see a gluten free section in my wine merchants. This is what the interweebs have to say.

My celiac colleague guzzles wine frequently but is very fussy about food and cross-contamination.

michael posted a vlog today about his new cottage garden, i have to say its about 100 times better than that mud pit behind the chapel
To be fair, my dog's nest - dug by him behind a large flax and next to the air-conditioning unit; for use, apparently, when I'm working in the vegetable garden, is 100 times better than the mud pit behind the chapel.

I moved to Crestview from FWB about 10 years ago so we could get a house with land, but I miss being close to the beach! I would go to the far end of okaloosa island in the mornings and be the only soul out there! Now the thought of fighting traffic and tourists makes me stay North until off season.
Waaay back in the day, when Mr. T Rex and I were dating, we rented the guest house for a few years on a waterfront estate in Shalimar. We loved it there! (To date myself, this was back in the day of Don Carlos Taco Tuesday (25 cent tacos and our waitress, who was named "Critter" was usually stoned!) & Wing Wednesday (25 cent wings and $2 pitchers of Miller Lite), driving to McGuire's for Friday dinner, a frozen beverage at Fat Tuesdays across 98, going to Fudpucker's to watch the cover band "Naked Gunmen", then onto NightTown (for $5 'all-you-can drink bottom shelf'), followed by brekkie at Waffle House. Back then, the beach was awesome- hardly any traffic. Right before I was transferred back overseas, Howl at the Moon and the pier were being constructed. I visited about 15 years ago, and did not recognize the place- at least Buffalo's Reef was still there! I have a few friends who bought houses in the late 90s in "Crestucky"- they still love it, but aren't happy that the urban sprawl is spreading out that way. I remember remarking to Mr. T Rex back in the day, "Does anyone actually own Crab Island?" "No, bae, it's underwater! No one owns that!" "We should just claim it!" And then a few years ago discovered someone actually purchased it! SMH!

Bonne Maman & Bedroom

Fanny’s only concern was the curtains clashed with the wallpaper??? What about the dreadful pink/ red table curtain or the torn wallcovering sagging off the walls in the bedroom? Fanny’s eyesight is going!!!Let's face it

We won't talk about silk drapes in a wetroom, but the replacement drapes are the wrong shade of green and everything else in that bathroom/bedroom is mismatched. Get rid of that Venus statue, those damn white feathers and all the other crap sitting on the tub, window ledge!!!

The bathroom floor is discoloured and it's time for that 1980’s shower to be retiled.

Fanny if your project for the rest of the year is to stretch out redecorating Bonne Maman, yet again, so you have some film content, then for gawd sakes get rid of Daddy’s porno painting above the bed.
Let's just face it. The woman has zero, nada, zilch taste in everything. You'd think with all of the interior design books she has she would have absorbed something? But, NO...no comprehension or thought whatsoever. What a dumbass.

I watched it last night too. I couldn't stop looking at what Anna was wearing. It seems like her pants and jacket have shrunk. The legs and arms are way too short on her. I notice she always wear wears cropped pants. They don't so her any favours when she pairs them up with boots.

Is it just me or have methods of wallpapering changed since I was young? When I learnt how to do it, we were taught to put the wallpaper on a pasting table and we applied the paste to the paper before hanging. At LL, they pasted the wall and then put the paper on. I did a lot of decorating when younger but haven't done any for a long time. Maybe the new method works better?
No the way we all did it in the past is still the right way. The paper needs booking.
“Booking” is the method of folding the wallpaper in on itself after pasting to allow it to relax and to keep it from drying out.

He still must be holding out hope she comes back - the wedding ring is still in place. Maybe it's a plan to keep people tuning in to see if it has been removed yet................

I do wish the cropped trousers and 3/4 sleeve trend would go away. As a tall girl, it annoys me! Why on earth is this even a trend?!? Fashion is emulating the "Tall Girl Plight" vice making clothing that actually fits us!

Michael's flog today was really good. Family orientated, doggos, beautiful forest walks, appropriate music, an overstuffed pretty garden and the closing view of afternoon sunshine through the new cottage garden was lovely. Well done Michael- and I would like to suggest carrying on the garden to the other side of the path as you thin out this new garden. Maybe flog getting that area ready because the forest of the chateau is very beautiful and your dad is click bait!
Stephanie Jarvis can never put together a calming, simple vlog of beauty as this one.

After watching Fanny's vlog (it is painful, y'all- Amaury's face said it all), and the sadness that was dinner- which should have been named, "Clearing out the Freezer!" (Because neither beets nor raspberries are in season right now in France- but bless Maria's frugal little heart at working with a budget of 5 Euro per the ENTIRE Dinner for ALL guests!

Reminded me of a video from a few years ago when Fanny gave Isabel her pink dress to flounce around in. They are two peas in a pod, both vain little show offs. Cannot stomach them any more.

I will say, he finally got a haircut. Now if he could reduce his beer gut a bit and get his beard a bit of a trim, I'd say he could actually be an attractive man. Losing Angelina seem to have given him a more positive demeanour...

I don't care how many new dresses Thieving Steph receives, she is still looking old and tired...she needs her mother...or her friends (not the paid companions).

Chocolates for everyone ahead of the big day!

Yep as all things never remain constant so does where you put the glue on fro wallpapering.

Laast year bought some that said paste the wall and put up. With 12 ft high stud and suffering from vertigo at time got in a professional. Noticed he read instructions, pasted wall and paper.

When next room to be done 2 months later he was too busy and vertigo stopped. Girlfriend and I pasted the wall (not painted only plastered) same batch as previous. Now I have the issue where joins starting to detact and look tacky.
