I was staying in NY some years ago and leaving my CV's all over the city in fashion houses. When I went into Ralph Lauren's offices the assistant dissapeared for a few moments then came back and told me to sit and have tea and the 'Ralph' would be down shortly. I asked 'who is Ralph' ! Yes ! In the end I didn't see him as he was called away but I still had a lovely high tea in what looked like a palm court ! Only in NY !

My last day living in NYC. I was suddenly crying in my favorite pottery shop. Then the owner asked me why and walked me out of an ordinary door to a hidden courtyard. He sat me down and explained that several families lived around the courtyard. There were flowers everywhere, doves in cages and a fountain. He then brought me a cheese plate and a glass of white wine while he arranged to ship my gifts down to NC. A beautiful farewell after 12 years in NYC.

Michael Potts was Stephanie's boyfriend for years, but they parted ways as friends. Michael Potts then found Ruth and became a co-owner of Lalande a few years ago. Nick is the original co-owner of over 17 years. Nick and his family may be there for New Years. Stephanie and Michael Potts are just friends now.

Stephanie's father had several paintings that are for adults in theme, with a dream or fantasy quality like the cartoon style of the naked tennis party and the lovers in the garden painting. Abstracts are not to everyone taste, but the colors and forms are brilliant in the painting.

Opps it is too! I start back to work on Tuesday and I'm actually looking forward to it so I'm wishing away the weekend! Monday is a public holiday here, so is a long weekend.
We always start the school year off with a large cooked breakfast for all the staff. No fancy plates though, disposable plates so less washing up! There is usually flowers on the tables though, and it's great to catch up with everything each other has done over the holidays.

PS Iolair you can have Anzac biscuits and we'll keep Pavlova. But really with both my children and grandson living in Oz and us intending to move there, I don't mind if you have both.

If squirrel needed a get lost project why did he not use this chair to learn a new skill. The attic is full of things from rusty old beds to tvs that belonged to the chateau. Does she think by keeping these items it brings her status. Imagine when she has gone and the chateau is sold will the next owner be glad that she ‘ saved ‘ old wallpaper .
So many things must stay if they are original to the chateau. I am surprised she is letting the heating be installed.

In Mummmy and Percy’s last cadeaux video released 12 days ago, Caroline Gooder states that Fanny and Phi Phi can go visit South Africa in a month. Are F4F and PhiPhi planning to go to South Africa in 2 weeks and that is why Fanny was making such a big deal about emphasizing that she was going to be at the Dump the entire month of February, She always has to tell on herself.

Do you think she is just filming a bunch of heating work and will work her time traveling Magic in piecing together old portions of video footage to make it look like they are at the Dump?

Maybe she is skipping Venice this year or could she go to Venice and then to South Africa?

She hasn’t mentioned the Dubai trip with Gerry. Has she already been to Dubai?

The new heating is going in with noise and dust, and the Grand Salon/ Floor above will be a mess. All things Isabelle hates. So as it is sunny and calm at the beach in SA, Stephanie and Philip can go visit in a month. In the spring, when things are calm at Lalande, they can come back for a while.
