Let me see if I've got this right. Maria went back home to Cyprus to be with her family until the BnB starts up again. Pavlina went to MM for how long? So what happened to them being a so called couple? Have they uncoupled? Will Pavlina have to hop from one chateau to another just like Selmar and FRK? If I had one of those chateaux, I would get security cameras pronto so that I could be on the lookout for "refugees" coming from LaLande. Quick, turn off the lights, lock the door, and draw up the bridge over the moat, another "refugee" from LaLande is approaching.

We only know what we have been told, maybe Pavlina was just visiting Sarah and will be going to Cyprus too. Her absence has not been explained, and even if explained may not be true. and Maybe they are not a couple and Pavlina is having fun visiting other people, Maybe she wants to be warm for the winter and not left at Lalande when everyone leaves for the Winter . WE will never know

I don’t usually watch Dan’s flog but thought I’d look to see how far his ruin has come on, two words … it’s not! He’s only just started to sweep the floors. I can’t fathom this situation out, he seems to be seriously thinking he will rebuild it himself with anything he can beg, borrow and make do. It’s kinda embarrassing to watch his naivety. The answer may be in the timeline confusion, but don't most people clean their floors before a big holiday dinner not after ?

I think Fanny, like Phyllis, is only cleaning up for the parents that are coming for Christmas. They are both so childish but, at least, she's doing SOMETHING! Who knows, she may get a real feeling of accomplishment and continue with the cleaning, but I doubt it.

We were having a similar discussion about the efficiency of vaccines against new strains.
Covid is mutating faster than our ability to create and manufacture appropriate vaccines.
Health experts said boosters lasted three months but they have gone very quiet about how long they do actually give protection.

I think I contracted COVID either in the airport in Edinburgh or on the flight back to New York. I've been triple boosted and still got a good dose of it. I also gave it to my hubs. He isn't happy but the boosters must have worked because while not feeling great, we weren't hit terribly hard and are recovering with relative ease. Can't wait to get back to normal though.

Where to even begin... I'll attempt to give a short version. Correct me if I am wrong, Tattlers, as I might have it out of order. Marie Wiik arrived at the Chateau as volunteer, and was hosting "Goddess Workshops". When the B&B season ended, it was just Fanny and she left at the Shitoo- Fanny love-bombed her, and they became BFFs. Marie started faffing about with flowers, pretty much did whatever she wanted and left after a year to go to the UK. Like a bad penny, she returned but Fanny had a houseful of new vols, and was no longer F4F's #1. Initially, FRK and Herr Nuti were BFFs, but then something turned. Marie initially had a floristry studio in the stables (which is now Amaury's workshop), but then was moved to where the Ye Olde Squirrel Gift Shoppe now is- and then was moved back into the stables, which were pretty disgusting. She wanted to just do floristry, but had to earn her keep by cleaning and cooking dinner (which were half-hearted offerings of chicken and brown sauce), along with making floral arrangements. She had become sullen and dour, and refused to take part of CD and Cadeaux. She had some business cards made up (which she felt made her legit!), set up her own YT channel, and started a Buy Me a Coffee and a Patreon. She was grifted a van by her followers, and high-tailed it our of there, planning to return to pick up her brocante furniture eventually. She then went to florist school in Bath, wandered around aimlessly a bit couch-surfing and house/pet watching at other people's homes, and eventually made her way to Haworth (on invitation of Nicki), where the community rallied around her with support, and set up a small floral studio. Jill (a business owner) and Nicki (who treated Marie like a daughter) even bought her a ticket home to Norway for Christmas after FRK cried poor. After returning from Norway, Marie decided she was hell bent on getting out of Haworth. She grifted around to other Chateax, and Nicki even let her stay in her own cottage in France. After that, FRK went mute for months- no mention of Nicki, or why she even left Haworth. She turned up in the Spring, exclaiming she was going to be a chef on a superyacht so she could travel the world in the style she deserves- that did not pan out- once again, no explanation. She recently turned back up, once again begging for money and promising new floral content on Instagram. SMH. She just wants people to fund her lifestyle without having to actually earn it. I actually rooted for her success when she went to Haworth- she was literally handed the keys, but she burned that bridge.

This is 100% what happened....but I'll add one small addition, if you don't mind.
At some point, after she left Haworth and ended up at her friend's place in France (where she was literally by herself for 30+ days), she posted a "cry for help" post, letting her followers know that she was "better now" but in a loosely veiled comment indicated that she contemplated suicide. Then, Natti and Philip drove to pick her up and brought her to Lalande. After that brief stay, she went back to Nicki's place in France and then went on to Norway and eventually found work in a restaurant, came up with the idea of becoming a chef, I think she even went to England and took classes for getting certified to work on a cruise ship and next thing you know, she's in Africa for a time.

There are things we will never know. And that's probably a good thing.

UPDATE make the three ingredient cake thanks it WORKED. Wish I coud send you a slice looks yummy. To save icing placed heaps of cherries and nuts on top even partnre is impressed.

YAY! Was waiting to hear from you about this...now I'm going to make it, too. I've already converted the grams to the United States measurements. I'm so excited (as Stephanie always says!).

Which leads me to Christmas cakes- WHO thought it was a good idea to cover a perfectly delicious cake, in its own right, with a layer of marzipan AND another layer of icing? I have been dealing with this battle since childhood- why cannot it not just be the cake bit itself?!?

When I make it, I'm not putting any icing or marzipan on it....I think I'd like it plain with a cup of tea.

I so hope Michael has found some hot guy in the area who likes him for who he is and keeps him motivated.

I have a friend who refuse to get a driving license because she is teriffied of driving. However she does not expect to be driven arround. But when offered she won't say no. Ever.

The pick up was indeed weird. Perhaps something went down when stephameme went to chateau Petherick to collect Michael and in return SJ hadn't offered them to stay? Or prepared a lunch?

Should I reach out to MPK with my professional mail adress with the subject: suggestion how to surpase every single chateauverse channel?
(I would if I had more time, just to know that SJ would be sick with jealously would be gratification )

I enjoyed the well thought out Q&A by the couple at Chateau Du Pernon. They have really tackled their humongous restoration project with a lot of thought. They even realize they will never see the end of the restoration in their lifetime. So why they chose to sink all their money into a bottomless pit with no family connection is beyond me. I did like their reasoning of restoring the pool first giving them an area for recreation while undertaking the restoration.

Last thread went so fast. My take on Thanksgiving. Starts with I'm so sick, I am staying in bed.... Then climbs out the window to get closer to Amore and Maria. Because she needed to share her cold/covid fungalitis ...... Its a miracle she's better running down the stairs to get the rest of the people sick. Two hams....no turkey... What kind of American Thanksgiving was that??? Green bean casserole made me laugh... And the whole climbing out the window onto the picker.... Just waiting for an accident. Not a brain to share among them.

Don't forget starting in bed saying she's so sick but with perfectly, newly curled hair!

I don't know that she actually has an end game - she just wants to stir the pot to get more views. She was genuinely happy to see Michael, and we've not seen that from her when it comes to PhiPhi. Or maybe it's part of the plan to get rid of PhiPhi - piss him off enough so that he destroys as much as he can, then leaves, and we'll see more of Michael because she'll need him to come to the rescue (unless it's really unhealthy for Michael, then she's SOL).

Stephanie's body language with Philip has always struck me as 'formal'.
I can't think of the right word.
Whereas her connection with Michael is so much warmer.
