I finally watched the Easter Extravaganza. I think that
@Lady Avonlea hit all the points that struck me as odd.
I can certainly understand how some of us (myself included, and I was a bit surprised by it!) watched and actually enjoyed it. For me, it evoked the feeling that first drew me to watch in the first place! That said, I cannot shake what I've seen in the past few months, to include some of the things I've learned here from all of you. Turns out you really can put lipstick on a pig!
Someone needs to tell PJ that just because he's "sleeping" with the chatelaine, it doesn't mean it's his to give away! To see him strut around there, when he was barely alive when she bought that place, as if he owns the place is off-putting.
Why does Tess Hoffman always looks so bored?
And Natti - what was that dreadful outfit she was wearing? And that hideous red schmatta around her shoulders? It was like grandma meets hooker. I think I spied Amaury with her just as she was showing off the "sexiest dress at the party"....he quickly moved off camera, though, never to be seen again.
No words for that stupid looking dress Stephanie had on. I'm glad that her donation to that designer's school (all from Grabeaux viewership) netted her some less than spectacular, dead people's clothing from God knows what era. Hideous.
There was some talk about the expense of this party. From what I saw of the brunch, they certainly didn't go all out. That brunch was fairly inexpensive, as far as party fair goes. Don't know what the dinner before the Saturday party was, though.
And I stand by what I said regarding the Chateau Honfleur folks. I'm disappointed in them. Do I think they will lose viewership? Probably not. But I think they just may have lost little old me.
