No problem but thank you. Maybe have a look at Norwegian Sissel Kyrkjebø, a classically trained singer, rather than an operatic soprano. Incredible range from mezzo-soprano to soprano.
I know I'm rotten... now after listening to Renee, Anna and Sissel may I please present Stephanie Jarvis, Soprano... - sounds like something you'd hear in a Jane Austen adapation for TV series of a daughter performing on the pianoforte for the guests....

I just looked at some of the workaway photos and videos, and she was hardly abusing anyone with over work. I'm going to guess the llama farm and the sustainable orchard require more actual labor than dinner and dishes at a chateau.

A lot of them did a lot more than dinner or dishes... and as she is a business she should have been paying them too. I think a lot of Tattlers have made many references to her slaves. But you are one of the covert faithful.

Totally agree to leave the lake till last which would be the final flourishing touch - I agree it’s important to do but not as important as the bricks and mortar of the place - the heating - the bathrooms - the roof - the patio area that’s sinking - if they have been there for 15 years and also own a house in Sussex / a flat in London and a house in South Africa any sensible person would sell a few of ruse and use the funds to restore !
Don't forget the house in South of France...

It doesn't say she left or closed the account, it says that the host has been removed by the workaway team, this usually happens for breach of workaway regulations. I volunteer for a foundation that use workaway quite a lot. Perhaps they found out that she was bumping uglies with the male volunteers?

Rules don't apply to her, remember? 😂
Actually if you look at the activities recommended by Workaway for volunteers staying with hosts it’s all very lightweight (it’s above the wording I circled in my photo). SJ seriously abused her Workaway volunteers with hard labour. Cleaning. Laundry. Cooking. Construction. Labouring. Not crafting with the kids and an extra pair of hands with a DIY project. I’d say some volunteers complained about being put to work. And also bumping uglies with the males. What about the female volunteers bumping uglies with the co owners and leaving other volunteers to clean up the mess!!!

The romance of it all  . Cold fact is that these houses were built by rich for the rich. You need a lot of money to live in them. Then our working class heroes (money burning in their pockets) like Jarvis' and Trotters buy into these properties and very quickly need to start rattling their begging bowls to survive or find romance living in Grey Gardens. Most of them (impoverished again) give up after few years, listings are full of half done Shat-O's for sale.
I was once told when I was real young that you have to have at least double as much when you intend to buy a house to be sure you can really afford it. Maintainance, repairs,...) So if she paid 600 000 for the château did they have another 600000? Don't think so.

The Michael Patherick vlog!!!!!! Cry baby pee pants. Jeez. He was clearly reading this forum? I've never read anything that bad about him on here, so maybe it was something else. But Jeeeeeeez. I used to enjoy his channel so much, but it deteriorated into something completely different. (The Chateau diaries have as well). His lament about signing over his art. Ummmmm.....Thats the JOB of textile design!!!!!!!! Its never, Ralph Lauren wallpaper, by Jack Smith. Anyway, I'm 100% sure he will be back. And Michael, if you are reading, just take your content back to your original vision! Light narrative, light personal involvement, focus on the beautiful location and buildings!

Watching the shenanigans at Lalalande with their parties, disguised residents and guests, consumation of alcohol, sex with volunteers, I always had the feeling of déjà vu.
This afternoon talking with my family about château, mentioning guest rooms that could not be locked (said in a rating on Air BnB), I had a sudden blinding realization: Rocky Horror Picture Show (google it if you don't know it)
Rose tint my world (where has @RoseColoredGlasses gone ?)

[Verse 1: Columbia]
It was great when it all began
I was a regular Frankie fan
But it was over when he had the plan
To start working on a muscle man

Now the only thing that gives me hope
Is my love of a certain dope

Rose tints my world
Keeps me safe from my trouble and pain

And there are the disillusioned fans.......

How's this for being elusive, Nic Larkin. Very much into the action.

View attachment 392837
Sorry, couldn't resist when I saw this. He might have the morals to withstand SJ, but by acting elusive he's only turning himself into one of her enablers.
Where did you get THAT ? And who’s he with ?
Marie, his now wife, don't you recognize her? And as to where: Michael Potts facebook is golden when it comes to connecting the dots.

I initially was drawn to and life at the Lalande. I liked the idea of daily life, the renovations, sewing, cooking and initially the mix of characters. I never warmed to MPK however and as we were introduced the Trotters, my dislike of the whole bunch of them intensified. Sadly, I think SJ became a victim of her own success and the series has become a parody of the earlier videos.
That is not to say that as we hear more about life behind the scenes, that it is clear that all was not as it appeared. I couldn't ever understand the fervour of the superfans and it is apparent that there are some very desperate, middle aged ladies out there who are seeking to live their days vicariously through SJ, Te Trotters and their various hanger on.
The pleasure. that I initially had is disappearing though - and I find Nicky Storey (Positano Diaries) and other vloggers (not necessarily chateau owners) more satisfyiing. I am enjoying watching a hardworking young couple converting two shipping containers into a family home and another couple building a log cabin in the mountains of Utah. I've started to feel that the Tattlers are more interesting than the vlogs.

Me too - I didn't mind TCD at first although I never liked SJ or Mummeee right from the start - both so fake and I recognised SJ as a toxic manipulator with the "I'm beautiful, adore me, lay everything at my feet, type". I went back and looked at DIO today and one episode was MP going to lalaland for a couple of days. At first no one but SJ and him. He was cooking a lasagne from scratch and she was doing some work on a laptop and sitting quietly and talking whilst he cooked. Without all the accumulated goings on we now know, it was a nice pleasant episode of DIO (albeit 99% about lalaland and SJ). Then he wanted some herbs so they went out to garden. SJ spots Mummee clearing some branches with Dan and up goes SJ's squealing, the false concern for Mummeee (a few spots of rain), the drama queen, Then the postal delivery man arrives and she's out in the yard putting on her act (probably to get him to carry the parcels inside) Next it's all SJ with unpacking "gifts" Lots and lots of them and this was a while back before CATC grabfest was filmed. Then MP starts on about loving Spode and how he is hoping to save up to buy some and how he loves Spode and it's so expensive and he loves Spode. Lunch served. SJ MP Mummeee and Selmar (Selmar never got one word - just sat there) SJ did one baguette as garlic bread (looked like a stale one she had lying around) Mummeee starts chopping in to the Lasagne and serving it as if she made it. No green salad or anything else with it - no offer to Dan to come in and eat (he was just outside with Mummeee) - it was all for the cameras. But the last bit turned me off - MP back at his place with lots of Spode sent to him as "gifts" About 20 plates, jug, tureen with lid and he's putting it away safely whilst he starts twittering on about needing a teapot. Sorry but it was classic Traveller behaviour - don't call me rascist, 'cos you only have to look at the shows made about them. Always on the make with an eye out for any opportunity - another show the 2 part Aga Saga he showed a lot of knowledge about how Agas work, repair and maintenance etc. I reckon that's what he did in UK as a job/business. But the blatant "hints" made me gag. What's next - I love Rolex, I love cashmere sweaters, I love sports cars - he needs a rich sugar daddeeee.

You wouldn't need the 5 layers of clothes as the chateau isn't open to guests until after Easter when generally the weather is warm and even hot. The fact that inside the temperature is cooler may be a relief and the fact that there is no need to install air conditioning is all to the good.
The weather isn't like that in UK especially in the North but I know that and still choose to volunteer.
I accept that this is no longer a historic house as changes have been made over years but I doubt the basic beams, roof timbers, upstairs flooring etc were replaced and it is those that need protecting from harmful effects of full central heating.
Darling, there was a fire after the 19th century remodeling, everything structural has been replaced. I can also see from the fireplaces, window and door openings that the rooms were laid out differently than originally, this will lead to new floors as well. Basically she's building a modern house inside an old shell. And she has central heating already, not just a sufficient one. People have wooden floors also in modern houses with full central heating. She's not restoring anything, but creating new interiors that look old.

From Michael’s comment section. What she mentions is some of what I was referencing previously where some people are obsessed with taking them down.
Well, I for one don't pity them. if you can't stand the heat maybe you shouldn't grab the money?

I agree some of the things said here lead to speculation and slander, but this is what usually happens when your 'job' is projecting an image of only fun and game, trying to hide and silence the victims you make in the process, out of fear of what that will do to your 'business that is not a business and who knows might even become a charity if you keep on dreaming', desperately trying to rule out constructive criticism for the same reason. It then all becomes us against them, calling us tattlers liars and haters. Takes one to know one, would be my weighed response.

Also, they made so much money with their fake talks so far, what if asking for pity for what's been done to you might even make you more? I'm sure it will open up some wallets.

I do find it remarkable that SJ now 'speaks' in public too about what's written here. That for sure is a change in tactics.

Oh it's like a game. Is this right?
1. Husband as boyfriend on and off at uni. SJ approx 18
2. Nic - apparently just friends at uni
3. Married Husband 22-24???
4. MP met through Oli on and off 10 years. Buys Chateau during relationship. SJ approx 25/26 - 35/36
5. Edmond
6. Mason on and off
7. Ludwig Norweigner
There's others, if only I would remember correctly. After Ludwig came a SA guy from London, really tall, I think his name was James. Again a tech specialist with an overload of money, obviously. Rumour had it they broke up because of his extended appetite in bed, as well as him being 'too big'.

And that’s probably a very conservative figure especially if it excluded the 25k go fund me to fix up the gardeners cottage.

hopefully he can realise that he has a huge following and he could achieve great success and he doesn’t need to beg for plates / gifts a go fund me/ more patrons buy me a coffee.

if he was to put out one video a week he would get over 5k from YouTube. He could easily do merchandise. Hopefully he won’t let it be a wasted opportunity.

as he is going to get taxed a lot on it anyway he might as well spend good money to get a professional in to handle things that he is clearly not good at himself.
I thought it fair not to bring it up
31 k go fund me
Laptop 👩‍💻 4 k
Buy me a coffee ☕
Buy me more roof joists
Premier monies .....

he’s unleashed a shit ⛈ storm
As dear brenda says
Pulling up a wee chair 🪑
Telephone ☎ off
Popcorn 🍿 ready

settling down 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️

what’s laughable as Sir trotter
His confidence was gone ... in the last few days

you haven’t worked in weeks ... and that’s a fact and no I’m not unhappy in my life - it’s a pandemic 😷 mortally concerned for all my loved ones and those around me

just don’t want to sit by and watch a snake charmer abuse genuine ppls concern

when your not concerned with theirs

Another cringeworthy vlog today .... Come Dine with me. Looks like the chattooo is so cold they need to wear jackets, hats, scarves and gloves indoors. Such luxury and living the highlife. During the livechat the dear old fraudster criminal from downunder got an invite to visit MM( he of famous father) when he buys his chatoo in France. Once covid is over he will be able to take a bunch of superfans to visit Stephanie in his famous Daddy's private plane. Wowsers....epic 🛩🛩🛩 Next vlog will be a continuation of the Come Dine with me theme. Now which team do ya think will win the honours ? hmmmm a foregone conclusion methinks!!

For anyone else who was curious, and because I admittedly (just like Michael said lol) have nothing else better to do, I did a google to learn more about Michael’s relative:

“John Hanning Speke’s discovery of Lake Victoria in 1858 while on a quest to find the source of the Nile elevated him to the pantheon of heroes of African exploration, alongside David Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley. But historians have ignored the part played by the Welsh mining engineer John Petherick in the discovery, largely because Speke branded him a slave trader. In this first biography of Petherick, John Humphries explores whether Petherick was truly a rogue, as he is often portrayed, or the victim of a conspiracy that destroyed his reputation and denied him credit for one of the greatest feats in African exploration.”

Can anyone explain what Mandy is suppose to be doing at LaLa land .... and why?
Isn't she the one editing the grab-whatever-you-can channel? SJ needs all gain but no pain from that, she enjoys the gifts that are not only gifts but by filming the unwrapping and her ecstatic drool will allow her to spike her image by sending small change (compared to what she is wheeling in) to charity, so she lets Nati do the organizing job, the preselection so she only gets to unwrap the good stuff and Mandy or any other sufferer can do the editing. It won't be long until she has a team working on the other vlog too, so she can stay in bed longer. She will probably "pay" them by passing along the gifts she doesn't want herself and receive eternal gratitude in return.

I'm starting to really like Prince Snortalot(y):ROFLMAO: He is quite unapologetically snorting loudly and giving people a piece of his mind. He is funny, quick witted, excentric, rolls his eyes like my teenage son, and setting tables is about as far as the talent pushes him. Cleverly he gets out of cooking by not giving a flying monkey's and just pour on the vinegar. He must stay. Selmar gets on well with him, the LOTML needs him, he is like her little escort/court jester.
Hahahaha! I second that. I’ve always liked what Phillip contributes to CD. The froggy glares, cheeky digs, and pig snorts, all delivered with lovely manners. Philip stays.
how do you know this?
How do I know Nati has an Italian passport? I consistently watch The Chateau Diaries, it is has been mentioned once if not multiple times.
