It’s just astonishing that in Court she says that she knows he’s going to die, and she wants to have say over how and when.

And then on Facebook says that he is alive, she knows he will recover etc. still convinced that they are doing a cover up to harvest his organs (another post today).

I’m assuming that the Judge and hospital are keeping a keen eye on this as it indicates that whatever she says in court is just a massive stalling tactic.

re: BIB - specialists at this level also believe in the science. whilst they'll have empathy for the parents, i doubt many would prefer the parents wishes over the science which supports the decisions reached by others who are experts in their field.
Exactly. Otherwise it just undermines everything you do within medicine. If you start acting on emotions, things fall apart!

The part of it that's being ignored is that even in court she appears to think that there's a small chance that Archie can recover and is still alive. So while she agrees that there's an overwhelming chance that it won't happen, which isn't being shared with the little group she's set up, it doesn't mean that she's just accepted that death will happen, or has happened, a 100%

The plan they have suggested obviously allows for time for that miraculous recovery, on which a religion would no doubt be based, to happen

Ella has confirmed on the Dignity for All page that she's not at law school (if anyone was in any doubt!). Not sure how that rumour got started.

Oh and she's just booked a holiday to Thailand with Archie's brother. Wonder how they managed to find the funds for that. 🤔

It seems like everyday she is clutching at new straws.. Go and spend that time with your son. No phones, no Facebook and no hangers on.

When are they going? Would you plan a trip with all this going on and not knowing the outcome? I can imagine she’s posted that just to cause an uproar (knowing people will question the funds). What’s the saying, any publicity is good publicity?

Of course they do, they just like to pretend that they're doing this all as some sort of campaign for dignity and can't possibly be as bas as Tattle

The new post making fun of the admins looking for a specialist is basically just looking to anger everyone in that private group and draw them to argue in the comments, for Dignity to then complain that they're having to take time to go through the comments and ban people. Also these weird quotes that are something your attention starved acquaintances would share for someone to ask 'r u ok hun? xxx'
Yes, I've noticed this a lot with DFA posts.

I do think it's helpful to have an alternative facebook group to point out the facts of the case, just because Hollie's group has gained an insane amount of attention.

But so many posts that aren't factual and clearly to get a reaction - one a while back congratulating Archie's dad and his partner for acting with dignity etc etc, clearly unnecessary and just there to anger Hollie et al and get a reaction. Another one with a head against brick wall gif, talking about "people" live streaming someone's death which was clearly aimed at the other poor woman who was brain dead and taken off life support. Personally this isn't something I would do, but the post seemed cruel given the family had literally just lost their daughter and chosen to do this.

September, apparently. Poring over holiday websites to book my next jaunt is the last thing I'd want to be doing if my little brother was in that state, but I think they've already proved that they don't do things the way most of us do.

So from what I could gather, the family of Orinta Spudyte (who's story was shared by AA) filmed the moments her life support was removed. I don't know if this was only for family members who couldn't be there, or if it was uploaded for anyone to see.

Regardless of your thoughts on that, I thought the post from DFA snidely referencing it was cruel and unncessary, given it was targeting a grieving family the same day their daughter died and what's done is done. Something to post about months later, maybe,

Apparently Hollie has been posting about cases of people being declared brain dead but then living
They live streamed someone's death? Wtf?
It was the waitress that someone posted here a while ago. The live stream was a prayer led by a priest and then one or two minutes afterwards where I'm guessing the life support was withdrawn somehow and you could hear some beeping. From what I can tell the livestream wasn't saved to rewatch or anything

It seemed to be mainly aimed at friends/family (this is probably the main bit given that the family is Lithuanian so not everyone might have been able to be there) as the mother had a post telling people where to come to say goodbye, but obviously because the case was publicised and gained attention it had a lot of people who weren't part of friends/family

The way DFA worded the post about it was a bit overreactive, especially given that they had posted a nice post saying that the mother was doing the right thing - though I'm not entirely sure why a grieving mother would want approval from a random page

I don't think it's about approval @Merpedy, but more those comments probably sent a load of troll comments their way.

It's just not nice a thing to see. If they were active on social media and already in pieces about their daugher's death, wondering if they handled it correctly etc, seeing posts like this with huge numbers of comments could really affect your mental health.

It was just overall a bit weird. First it was "here's a translation of the mother's post and us saying she's doing the right thing" to then "banging my head on the wall because she's livestreamed it"

The good thing is that the judge overseeing the appeal is one of the top judges in the Court of Protection. If anyone knows about best interests it’s him. I’ve done expert work in a different field and given evidence in his court and he is very fair, very gentle and very balanced. He won’t leave any loopholes for anyone to try and use to buy more time.

Quite frankly the people opposing Archie’s family are every bit as disgusting - if not more so - than their supporters.

There have been all kinds of conspiracy theories such as that Hollie was using Archie as a drug runner, or that she actually murdered him and is stalling for time to avoid an autopsy.

This is far worse than anything Hollie has said.

I am glad someone brought up the DFA page. I posted there early on, mainly to remind people that the family were going through hell and to remember this might make them prone to making choices we might think are irrational. Initially I liked the page but it’s now posting stuff which will only antagonise a woman in the depths of grief. I personally don’t like that kind of thing. I’ve not left the page mainly as I haven’t thought to do that, although I will go in and leave/unfollow it today.

Its not worse at all. She is also essentially accusing innocent NHS staff of murder by saying they want to him to die so they can harvest his organs. They're just as bad as each other.
