These people are just as bad, if not worse, for encouraging her. The messages they send show you the level of IQ...
I like the ones who say they've read the documents but prefer to wait for Hollie because she's the only one who tells the truth.

It's crazy...

The fact she posted his scan to Facebook rather than asking/listening to the actual doctorsā€¦ why she thinks Babs from Leigh On Sea will know better than an actual qualified Doctor is mind blowing.

What would Jeremy Kyle have done? Itā€™s the lie detector on the doctors to make sure the scans are his? Make sure they are telling the truth that he wonā€™t get better?
I imagine it would have been a full on episode! Chairs being separated, people stomping off, some refusing to come back from the green room, security getting involved, Jeremy sitting on the stage with head in hands. Oh the beef šŸ¤Ŗ

I know it's a given at this point but does nobody on their team proof-read anything? "Great full." "King regards." šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø And are they serious about contacting Dr Phil? The psychologist? šŸ˜–

It shows the level of intelligence of these people, it's mind blowing. These doctors and experts who have studied and worked for years and years in medicine are wrong, but Jeremy Kyle can solve it....WTF

Imagine the quacks they're gonna get replying to that appeal for medical expertise.

i am not a parent, and cant begin to imagine how difficult it must be for a parent to accept their child tried to end their own life, and that as a result they are now suffering from catastrophic brain injuries which will undoubtedly lead to a very early death.
what becomes very frustrating is that the parents are so emotionally involved they simply cant accept what the doctors are telling them, so they share their emotionally heavy disbelief with those who will express the same feelings and then only hear what they want to believe, the rest they become suspicious of. I think its extremely disrespectful to the doctors and clinical/medical staff treating this child, for scans to be shown online on facebook groups so that others who are unqualified can pass opinion in order to discredit the professionals.

If this were my dog, i'd have him PTS.

I just bet half of these folk are anti-vax too, but that's perhaps a story for another day.

I sort of get it from the whole "I want an independent doctor" side of things. I think there was a screenshot or post shared somewhere where she said that the 5 other doctors who evaluated Archie were all chosen by the hospital and she didn't like that. Makes sense because she's seemingly stuck in the thinking that the hospital is against her/Archie and isn't working in their best interest

Obviously independent doctors for Hollie are ones which support her view but I really wish the courts or someone just told her to go get an independent doctor from somewhere that meets certain criteria (to ensure that they're a legit doctor) and let them try to carry out the test because the result would be the same. With the money Hollie has been given I'm sure she could pull out a private doctor rather than an NHS one anyway, assuming private specialists even exist

I don't know what a paediatric care specialist is going to do for them, and I think anyone who gives an unsatisfactory answer will probably be told they're not good enough for the family, but it could maybe knock some sense into her

Jeremy Kyle ffs. I appreciate that not everyone has had a decent education or opportunities but this lot are really just thick and seemingly have no desire to educate themselves. They tried to find a doctor before(weeks ago) and these people who have no connection to the family were ringing random hospitals in other countries.

I understand and agree with what youā€™re saying, but the criteria for that level of ā€œdoctorā€ is a) very niche and b) very specific. Itā€™s not just any old doctor. Which is why, I imagine, the hospital searched and found 5 suitable specialists.

Iā€™m just thinking of specialists within my unit - they are all Consultant level, ICU specialist, Neuro / spinal anaesthetists, Neuro / spinal surgeons, radiologists and have done extensive research and training in their fields. On top of that, they would need to be Peadiatric specialist too.

Neuro ICU, and Peadiatric Neuro ICU, to the point of getting specialists to discuss brain stem death within detail, is a very specialist area in that there are only a handful of units within the UK, so the pool of people to choose from is extremely talented, but limited.

Super difficult. X

I'm not denying it would be extremely hard but I think for her it could just be feeling like she has control over the situation a bit

Honestly without some sort of involvement from the hospital or the courts I don't think anyone would want to voluntarily work with her anyway since she might try to sue them or speak negatively of them to her army and cause issues that way

I hope she's offered some sort of counselling for this because I genuinely think that she cannot be in a stable mental health state

Whoever runs the page clearly enjoys the attention it brings them IMO.
Of course they do, they just like to pretend that they're doing this all as some sort of campaign for dignity and can't possibly be as bas as Tattle

The new post making fun of the admins looking for a specialist is basically just looking to anger everyone in that private group and draw them to argue in the comments, for Dignity to then complain that they're having to take time to go through the comments and ban people. Also these weird quotes that are something your attention starved acquaintances would share for someone to ask 'r u ok hun? xxx'

Yeah I think thatā€™s the big point, they could approach any specialist they want and I bet theyā€™ll all say no thanks! They respect themselves, their reputation, career and right to practice too much! Imagine getting involved in this case, not giving the family the answer they want and then being dragged through court/the media. Not worth it!

I imagine she has already been offered counselling. PICU are so hot on that. Hope eventually she does take peopleā€™s kind offers and take time to heal and grieve properly.

Archieā€™s mum did have someone independent but the judge was a bit scathing in her June judgment

ā€œ The final witness was Dr Shewmon from the US. A man of expertise and considerable standing, instructed by the parents, he made a statement dated 5th June 2022, the day before the final hearing started. I was grateful for his industry. An undoubted expert in the field, he explained how the standard for death differed in the UK to that in the US. The US used whole brain death test whilst the UK concentrated on the brain stem.

Dr Shewmon gave examples of children or young people who had been found brain dead but who had made some sort of recovery. He had written extensively about these occurrences.

Overall, I found his evidence interesting but where as in Archieā€™s case, the brain stem death test had not been able to be administered or relied upon, his evidence was not quite so relevant. Examples of ā€˜miracleā€™ recoveries again were not helpful. I noted that unsurprisingly he had not seen the scans in Archieā€™s case which showed a deterioration in the condition of his brain between 15th April 2022 and 31st May 2022. In all the circumstances, his evidence did not undermine the evidence I heard from the Archieā€™s treating clinicians as supported by the second opinions I read. The clinicians had immediate knowledge of Archieā€™s medical condition and were able to examine him, his notes and the scans, this put them in a far better position than Dr Shewmon.ā€
I posted this before, she did have someone on her ā€œsideā€ but unfortunately I think it was a bad choice

re: BIB - specialists at this level also believe in the science. whilst they'll have empathy for the parents, i doubt many would prefer the parents wishes over the science which supports the decisions reached by others who are experts in their field.
