Only the cases involving stupid people ever go to court because everyone else can grasp what the clinical teams are telling them.

Q please. Maybe Hollie has commissioned a unique, fancy ventilator that I’ve not encountered before but how can he not be requiring oxygen and only be “in air”?

Also a comment on the post refers to an “accident” made by, I assume, a Nurse that involved the ventilation being “turned down”. Tut tut. It was only noticed because Hollie is there 24/7 and monitoring everything, thankfully.
She means he is on room air I.e 21% oxygen rather than additional oxygen being piped in.
Unfortunately I think we are all of the agreement that Archie’s lungs are not the problem here

Great proof reading from Yorkshire Live there.... she doesn't want to 'loose' her daughter!
Yeah it’s not the best news outlet going, their spelling and grammar fits right in actually with, well, you know… 😉

Oh well now she can let him pass and blame the hospital . The poor staff doing their best and getting accused of everything .

It still staggers me that someone with such a low IQ can have the High Court and amazing Doctors having to dance to her tune.

What does it say about us as a society that we allow this.......... minority voices seem to be the only ones that are allowed to be heard these days
I used to encounter these types. They'd lie about some aspect of their relative's care then the social worker would get involved (they love trouble) and there'd follow safeguarding meetings and the terrorised member of staff would spend the next few weeks living off valium and chainsmoking cigarettes in fear of getting into trouble and what it would mean for them. The relative would smugly continue, knowing what power they wielded and other residents would be neglected because you'd be having to fanny around the troublemaker trying to ensure you didn't end up in their sights. Disgusting. So glad I left.

I hope that the situation with Archie, wakes up content providers, like TikTok, Instagram and other dubious places that encourage kids to do stupid things. Many kids have died in USA with this horrific black out challenge.

There is zero evidence that Archie was attempting a social media challenge.
The 'challenge' his mother is suspected to be referring to does not encourage kids to hang themselves, and existed long before social media.

The claim of an internet ‘challenge’ by his mother has been refuted by accounts of AB’s self harming/suicidal behaviour leading up to the hanging incident.

It is a tragic situation which has no doubt occurred due to the shite MH provision for children thanks to underfunding of CAMHS and the NHS in general by this tit show of a government.

Tik Tok trends aren’t to blame.

This is on OK website, commenting from a This Morning interview.

This Morning viewers were left "broken” as Archie Battersbee’s mother, Holly, appeared on the show to make a desperate appeal for her son's life.

Eight weeks ago, Archie, 12, was found unconscious after he allegedly tried a dangerous social medial challenge.

She still seems to be playing along with the "challenge gone wrong" story... lots of comments reference it every day, people suggesting they sue TikTok next.

Firstly, when the cardiac arrest comes, no amount of resuscitation attempts are going to provide a good outcome. You can’t resuscitate a corpse. Secondly, whatever happens from now onwards Hollie is going to claim that the hospital killed Archie. No amount of reasoning will make her think otherwise. For this reason alone I think a post-mortem will have to be carried out. Possibly even two as the family will not trust the outcome unless they choose, and fund, their own pathologist.
Also, resuscitation is brutal. Surely his body would not withstand it?

Oh well, that would be another way for them to claim the hospital killed him.

Re. Hidden cameras - I read a few years ago that in the US hospitals can place cameras in rooms when they suspect a patient/their family is er, tampering or similar to worsen their condition (I read a munchie thread on another forum). Not that I'm suggesting the family are doing anything in Archie's case, but it would be back up for the poor hospital staff in case they're accused of stuff. But I'm not sure if cameras are around in hospitals like that in the UK?

Legally, there'd need to be a notice informing of their presence. That's for the UK anyway.

Something doesn't add up with her narrative. There was the blackout challenge at the time which involved people seeing how long they could hold their breath for.
Archie was found hanging.

and the fact that this challenge that has been loosely referred to hasn't been explained/warnings issued to other users of TikTok...

I don’t believe this was an online challenge. I think it was suicide sadly. But the story of how he was found has changed so often I cannot believe a single word the Mother says.
