If its been years then they might turn round an say why wasn't this continuous brought up back then, they maybe will think you're at it now, am not sure how far back recorded calls go with being kept, when I phoned them it had only been a few short months, but it's definitely worth phoning them an telling them to get it off now as sports can be a expensive add on

but she isn't you and you don't have that right to make the decision for her. I would say differently if you knew her and knew what her reactions would be etc.
I thing she had the right to know he’s doing this behind her back otherwise he’ll be doing it for years without her knowing. Especially when they live long distance for all I know he could be doing it too other girls also behind her back and their keeping there mouths shut. I rather follow girl code and tell her so she isn’t wasting her time then let a guy think it’s acceptable behaviour

Honestly, unless they’re very expensive, I’d just send them. I think they’re more concerned about the tax and masses of flammable liquid. I shouldn’t think they’ll be interested in tiny bottles.
I'll be sending them with chocolate anyway so hoping maybe they won't bother so much since they will be able to guess its a gift an not for resale, it is £12 for the little pack so kindi pricy but I can't find any local whiskeys anywhere cheaper

Oh my word I’m so sorry about people being nasty to you and you not having electricity! You don’t deserve any of that. Hoarding is a mental health condition and should be treated as such.

What is CAB?
Have you had your benefits back?

You don’t deserve to live in a cold, dark house you really don’t.

Just logged into my account. Ffs over £100 for an entertainment package and I never asked for it! I'm actually raging

The standard GDPR retention policy is 6 years. They might not give you it all back but they may agree to back date it to your last renewal date
I'll give it a go. Though I'm not expecting anything back I just want them to stop taking money for something I never asked for :(
On the phone to them now, might take a while. If they don't sort it I'll cancel the direct debit and sign up with someone else. Enough is enough.

Thanks everyone for the pup advice, we are on day 4 of having her here and she has fit in so well.

She just hates being left alone, I found out from the previous owner that she didn't have separation anxiety there but she did have another dog for company so that's probably a big change for her bless her 😔

When we are all in the kitchen having our meals she will just whine and bark because she can't see us.
We are a very long way off leaving her in the house alone and that makes me worried and a bit regretful because it's a limit on our freedom, however we all love her so much already and are willing to put the effort in to getting her fully settled.

Will leaving her to whine it out while we eat make her separation anxiety worse?
I considered doing shifts so someone is always with her but would that enable her and make the problem harder to train out?

I overthink so forgive me for all the questions. It's probably not as deep as I think it is. I'm just quite overwhelmed despite knowing what we were getting ourselves into 🤦‍♀️

Thanks, didn't know that was a thing, seems so random to post about trees for sale lol but I would imagine if someone had grounds for them they might be intrested

Thanks, was really surprised when I first seen the little saplings appear an it's been quite fun seeing them have to be replanted into bigger pots, like a growth stage I can look back on, the house I grew up in had two apple trees both matured, it was a long garden an they were right at the bottom an I'll always remember my dad telling me it was because they needed to be away from the house so I've always remembered that I can't plant anything big too close, sadly houses just don't come with big gardens anymore, seems more an more areas would rather cram as many houses in as they can an leave you with a postage stamp gardens
Oh Jesus, I might have to dig one of mine up as it's growing fast and I planted it too close to my window 🤦‍♀️wish someone had advised me lol
Did you know what kind of trees they were before planting? Just curious to know what to look out for, did you notice them straight away before you took them home?

The upcoming rail strikes... (1st of October and 5th of October) is it worth trying to use the trains those days? I have an open return on the 1st. I know train companies advise you not to travel, but is it a case of "they're just saying that" or is it really actually inadvisable? I'll be using transpennine express if that matters.
I would still use depending how far you are travelling. It normally just means that there is less trains running so they will be packed and probably more stops.
Alternatively get one of the busses they put on

Looking for fashion advice… I’m wanting a winter coat that will last a life time. Was looking for a parka style, down fill, very warm and waterproof etc. Looked at Canada Goose but don’t like the big labels and felt too flashy, then looked at Holland Cooper but all made with polyester and filled with it too! Did look at Woolrich but no coats are long enough as I outdone want it to cover by bum and tops of my thighs. Anyone got any suggestions? Ideally want Parka style, down fill with fur trim collar which is detachable. Thanks
Try Superdry, up until last year I had been wearing it for 4 Winters. Last year I accidentally got gloss paint on it hence why it’s only up until last year haha!

I've tried all that an junk from the royal mail has been limited but the biggest problem is these people that come round with bags an just post that aren't controlled by royal mail, mainly these charity bags, garden/cleaner company's etc
Block up your letter box? :ROFLMAO: There isn't much you can do. I mean you could send them back to the companies in an envelope without a stamp, but thats effort for you and they won't know where it came from.

We get a few leaflets pretty much everyday, I just pick them up and bin them. Takes about 3 seconds.

Would you guys encourage swimming lessons for an adult who never learnt how to swim?

It’s the waking up early (anything before 12am) my 19 year old sister has the biggest trouble with and the reason she doesn’t want to go. Don’t know if i should keep bugging her about sessions whilst she still has a break from uni or let it drop.

We just have the traditional fan tail goldfishes.

Never had babies so they must all be boys.
If she doesn't want to, leave her to it. It may be that she is embarrassed or scared and someone pushing you makes you less likely to go.

My OH has lost his passport and we go on holiday in about 6 weeks! We’ve turned the house upside down trying to find it but no luck. We are trying to sort out a new one via 1 week fast track, but when we click the link to book an appointment and pay it says there are non available! We’ve been checking constantly over the last 24 hours including through the night and first thing this morning. It says ‘extra’ appointments will be added but I have yet to see any. What are we meant to do if we can’t even get an appointment? We have all the forms filled in and new photos that have been co-signed and the money is waiting in the bank to be paid. Just want to get it sorted now. Would calling the passport advice line be of any use? Really starting to panic now.
Have you look at going to the embassy? Sorry if that's what you are looking at.

So.

I was driving at Asda last month, i think I hit a car (scuffed it) but when I got out to check I think it was just the post and not a car and I’ve had an email / calls off my insurance saying someone has claimed.
Now - I’ve not admitted I’m at fault cos I’ve just said I’m not sure if I was there, the Asda they’re talking about is a while off me and I wouldn’t generally to unless I needed something urgently. 🙄 please nobody have a go, I don’t want to admit I might have scuffed it cos I genuinely thought i hit the post. My car didn’t have any damage on it.

All they’ve got is my reg, and not sure if they’ve got any cctv either. They’re waiting for more information. I really don’t want to lose the 1 year of no claims I’ve got, 2 in October…..😫 my insurance will go up to around £800 again. Has anyone been in this situation? Thank you x
As the other two have said, if you think you hit the car and now someone else is claiming you did and has your reg, the likelihood is that you did. How can you now not be sure you were there? Were you there or not? Did you go to the asda?

Either contact the driver yourself and cover the costs to have it done, they guy who hit my car did this via his insurance and I got £200 and my car fixed to not claim on my policy so it may be worth speaking to your insurer to see if thats an option?

I need advice on how to deter a cat from using my front garden as a litter tray.

I have a flower bed and gravel driveway.

A cat was using the flower bed as a litter tray so I was clearing it up and tried every trick in the book but nothing worked. Eventually bought some cat scatter spray and followed the instructions and it seemed to stop until we went away for a week and couldn't keep up the spraying.

We came back to the flower bed literally covered in cat shit.

Cleared it up and started the process with cat scatter again but now it is shitting on the gravel too!!

I am at the end of my tether with it.

I would get one of them things that makes noise but the reviews are all bad. I can't see the cat from my office so I also can't spray it with water or whatever to scare it off.

But I am fed up of the front of my house being covered in shit, any advice appreciated. Thank you.
If you see the cats, then use a hosepipe on them every time you see them even look at your garden. If not, get a motion sensor garden spray that will spray them every time they come into your garden. I have cats and I'm fully on board with anyone doing this to them if they go into their garden.

Or you can push plastic forks into the ground so the tines sick up, making it so they can't walk on that part of the garden anymore.
