Hey angels! Does anyone know who this blogger is, or where the dress is from? All I can seem to find on google search are copies of it but want to find the original. I thought someone might know who the blogger in the photo is and I could find it that way.

Thank you💘
I think she's the model for the company, but found it on dollhouse collection, the link is dollhouse-collection.com

@shadowcat5 Thank you - You're very lucky you're able to do your hair at home, it's definitely a safer bet and you know what works for you :) I think in this case the toner won't cut it (they tried twice) because I want to get rid of the black, but now I have black with yellow and mint strands all over.

@OnlyHereForTheLolz Thank you - Yep, I have the mint / yellow streaks at the back. I actually took pictures of what my hair used to look like before and I asked them to pull up my references and they said they didn't find them. 100% my do before never classified as a "balayage" (or they had been severely undercharging me for years which I doubt).

I have been going to this salon for 6 years (except for when the pandemic happened) and I've always had amazing results. I once had a mishap 6 years ago with them and the then hairdresser was so nice despite the situation. We even laughed about it and it got sorted the following week. This one just had a poor attitude throughout the process. This is not how you behave with a customer.

I think what would turn me off from this salon is the hairdresser's attitude (reluctance to listen to what I wanted, did some random work without even assessing whether it would blend together, blamed me for the mishap and then did not offer a kind word / apologized / offered to rectify and completely ignored me on my way out). You're right though, I will ask for another stylist (a more senior one) and if they suggest she does works on it again, it's a big no-no.

I understand hair grows back. In my case my hair was super damaged before and it took me ages to grow it back for it to be in a pristine condition like this. She damaged my "virgin" hair (i.e. not tinted at all anymore) and now I'm going to have to rectify it so God knows the damage it will entail. It was a blank canvas and she messed it all up - that's what pains me the most. Hair grows back, but it's still painful when you've put efforts into restoring your natural state of hair and someone ruins it unnecessarily.

Not to mention - I'm usually pretty invisible in crowds, but I swear today people were starring at me right left and centre. It was uncomfortable. I look like a Halloween costume lol.
Sorry if you took it as me minimising how you felt with the "hair grows back" comment. I just meant that is how I feel. I've never been overly bothered if my hair went wrong. I used to experiment a lot and I guess I am lucky as my hair grow back quick.

During lockdown I gave myself a "shortcut" haircut I saw on youtube. I looked absolutely ridiculous! I had a bowl cut at the front and a mullet at the back. It looked awful

Fingers crossed you get yours sorted out quick.

Thanks, will see if they have it in my local one. I have a detox shampoo but that is also ouai and I still had the same problem with the lack of lather and greasy feeling.
Think I might have to permanently switch shampoos
a temporary switch should be fine! i definitely find that after a good while of using the same shampoo my hair seems to get used to it and doesn’t quite clean or lather the same way it used to. i jump between two different shampoos now which seems to avoid that happening.

try a new one for a bit and then give ouai another go, i definitely don’t think you would need to permanently change.

That is exactly what it looked like. Why do people do shit like this 🙄

Would you guys encourage swimming lessons for an adult who never learnt how to swim?

It’s the waking up early (anything before 12am) my 19 year old sister has the biggest trouble with and the reason she doesn’t want to go. Don’t know if i should keep bugging her about sessions whilst she still has a break from uni or let it drop.

We just have the traditional fan tail goldfishes.

Never had babies so they must all be boys.
I learned to swim to as an adult and it was the best thing I did. I always struggled as a kid. In hindsight I think I needed a bit more of a 1-1 and to be able to do it in my own time. Adult classes allowed me to go at my own pace.

If she doesn’t want to then you can’t really do anything but I did lessons at 7:30pm so there should be some in the evenings in your area and the classes I went to were very quiet. There was only 3 of us in the whole pool

Fridge freezers sounding funny and doesn't feel to cold, think it's on its way out? It's old. Is it worth getting someone to have a look? Would it be an electrician? Orrrrr buy new? Would have to factor in council collection which was £26 when I last used it a few years back, may be more now or they may not take it at all. In which case what do you do? So many questions 🤔
Might it just be blocked somewhere? I just did the pokey stick thing to see if that helps. Anything else I'm missing? Not much ice in there as I recently defrosted.
AO can take it away from £20 if the council prices have risen.
You don't even have to buy your next fridge freezer from them, anyone can use the service 😀

Yet she’s messaging randomers for meet ups / lifts but claimed she wants to avoid isolated spots because of her past when a stranger could easily drive her there 👀
No I meant very sensible of Purrr not to want to meet up with a) a stranger and b) a stranger & a chancer! 😁

I'm in a similar situation and have been considering my options too. I currently walk in some very light trainers from tesco which are pretending to be Nike tanjuns. From wearing these I know that my upgrade needs to be at least somewhat waterproof because once my feet are cold and wet at work, the day is significantly shitter.

Maybe something from Sketchers? They're dead comfy, light and supportive and some designs aren't even terrible.

(many are truly godawful though 😂)
It’s a hard one isn’t it? I don’t like wearing my gym shoes, it just feels gross and sweaty. I’m also conscious of looking like that type of commuter if you know what I mean… huge backpack and clumpy running shoes. I’m really struggling to find anything but will check the sketchers website. I always associated them with slightly older people but maybe I should take a peek. Thank you!

Converses don’t really absorb shock though. I’d embrace the clump and go for Oofos.
Thank you for the suggestion but I really can’t do clumpy trainers, it makes me feel self conscious. I’ve just taken a look at their website but they’re far bigger than my current gym trainers and not practical for me

Does anyone know how you can check your credit rating where it won't affect it, I've heard from some that checking can make it worse

So I've had my credit card maybe around a year now, it's my first one an was incredibly hard to get being unemployed but obvs I needed to build credit as no credit is bad credit 🤷‍♀️ which is stupid imo

The one I got has a limit of £200 which is fine but I don't know how my credit score is doing, I've been spending little bits an then paying it off in one when the bill comes, I assume that helps the credit rating go up, or does it go up when am paying some off it each month?
No credit history = “bad” credit isn’t stupid at all. Infact it makes total logical sense. If you have no passed history of using credit then a potential lender has nothing to base the risk on when deciding wether or not to offer you credit.

Try using clear score. Before you do though, make sure you are named on the electoral role as that really effects what your score will be.

Yessss to all the Skechers love! I live in mine. They get a bad rap, but they have a huge range, something for everyone! Some may be more acceptable than others… 😂

I always associate the slip ons with the older generation. Fab for those who struggle with laces but perhaps if your dexterity isn’t impaired you might enjoy another a different style. I couldn’t not share the gold because they are INSANE. But do have a look at the site, I’d be very surprised if you didn’t find something acceptable. Please do not rely on Converse for walking. You will destroy your feet. (Been there, done that, months of physio to show for it!)

So I applied for a job that had a guaranteed interview for mental health/disabilities under the no discrimination act

Obviously I didn't get a interview

Can they do this? Basically I was told that I wasn't right for it, even though I matched what they were looking for
Even if you match what they're looking for there maybe ten other people who applied that have a better match and they will shortlist potential candidates based on that.

The guarantee of an interview thing sounds like box ticking. Maybe they made an error in not calling you forward so contact them and ask them why.

Has anyone ever been at the point where they are done listening to/trying to help a friend who will not leave a bad relationship even though they have every Avenue and all of the support to do so

Is it cruel to not want to be friends anymore? It doesn’t even feel like there is a friendship left and I can no longer hide the anger and hurt I feel towards her.

I want to tell her that I will always be there to help when she decides to leave but I cannot play along anymore

Anyone got any tips or tricks for getting cheap travel like websites that give deals or best sites or times to book on?

Trying to get me an my folks down to london from Edinburgh to Euston but it's coming up as around £300 to £500 for trains, I'd probably prefer to train down as the airport isn't the easiest to get to an I cant do bus with travel sickness, need to walk about at least
MSE has a good guide on how to get cheaper train fares. Also look at getting a railcard which gives you discounts on train tickets for a whole year?

Hope you enjoy your trip!

The last two days I seem to have developed a really strong sense of smell, smells that don’t usually bother me have really been making me feel sick. My last period was only last week so can’t be pregnant, does anyone know what’s wrong? 🙁
Was your last period lighter than usual? Many women have a "breakthrough bleed" in early pregnancy, which they often mistake for their period. Do a test to be sure!

I think they deal with all types of things from benefits to consumer issues ,it's worth a try anyway ...so rotten when these companies don't respond a reply isn't much to ask ,hope you get it sorted so you can enjoy your trip.
Thanks, I feel like I just keep hounding them with emails both the one they sent me an still on twitter but it's always when they ask for details they go silent on me, I know the emails have all been sent as well so it's not as if they aren't getting them, I just don't understand what the problem is, they said that was what the prize was an it isn't like I picked a date for next week which would be hard to make happen, am picking weeks in advanced

They can do a test to see if you have the pregnancy hormone in your wee (for the life of me I cannot remember what this hormone is called). If you have miscarried the hormone will remain in your system for a few days so they can see. Sorry this has happened to you, but get yourself seen in person to have the test done for your peace of mind ☹
Sorry but pretty much, no one will see you that early on. It depends on the kind of miscarriage how and when your hormone is affected so they (at least in my trust) won’t do the test themselves anymore but just ask you to do a home pregnancy test. They basically won’t see you at EPU at 4-5 weeks, if you think you are miscarrying they ask you to take a test and if positive test again after two weeks, if still positive they will see you (assuming there have been no excessive bleeding or pain on the meantime).
This was as of 2 months ago.

Ladies… a really random/embarrassing one 😂

does anyone else struggle with terrible feet? Any cures?? I have thick thick skinboth big toes and on the outer side of each foot under the baby toe. The skin under my feet constantly feels tight and hot, all I can bare to wear are runners. My feet are in agony/cut to bits if I wear any other type of shoe even Birkenstocks. I can’t wear Vans/Converse etc. I have been fitted and definitely wear my correct size and don’t have particularly narrow or wide feet.

I wash and moisturize my feet daily, use a thicker cream at night before bed, I’ve tried the pumice stones/buffers/salicylic acid cleanser. Tried all the socks/treatments from chemist and Amazon…

sorry for the disgusting post 😭 but they’re actually getting me down, dreading this summer and having my feet be hot and swollen all the time…

So.

I was driving at Asda last month, i think I hit a car (scuffed it) but when I got out to check I think it was just the post and not a car and I’ve had an email / calls off my insurance saying someone has claimed.
Now - I’ve not admitted I’m at fault cos I’ve just said I’m not sure if I was there, the Asda they’re talking about is a while off me and I wouldn’t generally to unless I needed something urgently. 🙄 please nobody have a go, I don’t want to admit I might have scuffed it cos I genuinely thought i hit the post. My car didn’t have any damage on it.

All they’ve got is my reg, and not sure if they’ve got any cctv either. They’re waiting for more information. I really don’t want to lose the 1 year of no claims I’ve got, 2 in October…..😫 my insurance will go up to around £800 again. Has anyone been in this situation? Thank you x
Unfortunately if they have your details then you are just going to have to own up to it, even if your car shows nothing then it doesn't mean you didn't hit there's, my mum hit a car an there was nothing on the car, we took it to a garage an they said underneath was wreaked, it seems like they have probably gotten asda to get cctv footage if they have managed to get the reg if there was definitely no one around an being confusing on the phone by trying to say you don't feel you hit the car but the pole an now you didn't even think you were there is going to raise red flags to the insurance company

Feel like am never off this 😅 but it's so handy

Has anyone used the imagination library? An is it worth it if your having to pay for it? It's not offered in my area so I'd imagine if am successful then I'd need to pay out the £25 a year for it, while I don't mind that am wondering if the books themselves are worth the costs or if I'd be as well just going to the shops, I'd be looking at the toddler range for books
Hii, dont really know what imagination libary is 😅butt i would get ylu are looking for books, as someone who is obssesed with reading , my town libary doesnt have that many books and my parents would never want to buy me really a new books, so i use Z libary, u bascially install app called Epub Reader and go to google and search Z libary and ylu dowland any book for free and it would show up in that app where you can read it.

So i just checked the website and its down for a moment, it does say tho that ist going to work again in few hours, and i never checked but i think they have children books
