Husband has got AF and atrial flutter - he had surgery last year at bristol heart institute, catheter ablation. They only found the flutter when he was under but treated it at the same time. He's fine with the flu jab but the Covid one knocked him sideways so he's only had the 1st two and no boosters.

He was recommended to get an Apple watch by the cardiologist and it's been really useful in terms of sending ECG's over to them. His heart rate is much more stable now but he still gets the random 120-130 ones if he's stressed. The watch helps him be more mindful, I think, that he needs to take a deep breath every now and then and calm down.
Does he do 7/11 breathing? I found that really helpful with my atrial flutter to stop me getting into a panic and making the heart rate worse. I’m the same as him. Been offered 2 boosters but declined due to the bad effects I had from the first 2 covid jabs x

Does anyone know how to report a YouTube channel without signing in?

I was scrolling down my feed this morning and came across what claims to be a ‘yoga’ channel posting full blown intimate parts photos. It seems the owner of this channel is a yoga teacher promoting ‘nude’ yoga by literally showing their private parts.

This should have no space on YouTube where kids can’t stumble upon this nonsense. I’m honestly disgusted this wasn’t filtered by YouTube.
I’m not sure how to report but hope you find out how because that’s awful! Shocked YouTube have allowed it to be uploaded

Thanks everyone, really appreciate the responses. His family are angry with him and upset with me but it is what it is. My family would've looked after her if they'd had enough notice which is really frustrating. But anyway. I feel reassured that I'm doing the right thing staying home :)

You usually scan the gift card at checkout and enter the amount you want to put on it. I’ve not had to manually enter gift card numbers when I’ve brought them before x
Thank you so much for the quick reply! I dont buy gift cards very often and couldn’t remember how it works when you activate them in store.

In that case, the only other thing I can think of is maybe they bought more than one gift card at the same time and mixed up the receipts?

It was a present from my boyfriend’s sister so I feel a bit awkward asking her and I doubt she’ll still have the other receipt so think I’ll just have to give up on using the gift card sadly 😢

And direct the child's questions to the dad. Like why isn't dad available to take them to the activity? Say you don't know and they can ask dad that when they next call/text/see dad.

Anyone here had a colonoscopy?

Been referred for one and just had a phone call with a colorectal nurse and I'll get one in the next two weeks

Any advice regarding the procedure would be very much appreciated
A couple of things not from own experience but Mr Lolz and his sister.
If you’ve had a hysterectomy it’s going to be more painful.
Insist on local anaesthetic as they often won’t offer it. But Mr Lolz insist as he finds it too painfull without, mind you he has ulcerative colitis so his guts are filled with ulcers

I’ve ordered from them before. They’re part of Net a Porter, but this is definitely red flag galore.
I always pay with paypal when I order from Net a Porter, I’ve had an issue before and opened a paypal dispute which they didn’t even bother with so PP refunded me.

But according to them they don’t take any utility bills like council tax or food into consideration they only asked how much rent I paid, if I had a car & if I owned anything over £500, they were just really strange questions, even when go into a debt management agreement they ask about every outgoing.
It's a long time since I actually did an eligibility check for legal aid so I can't remember all the details but according to the government website that I linked above the calculation takes in to account:
  • income, including any benefits they claim
  • outgoings, like housing costs, maintenance payments and childcare costs
  • savings and investments
  • assets, like property and vehicles
So it doesn't look like other bills are taken into account. Don't ask me to explain the logic but 'them's the rules'. The online checking tool on the government website will confirm it for you. The good thing is that the CourtNav service will get you to the point where, at no cost, you have a correctly completed application form which you can then send to the court. There's no court fee for non-molestation orders either. if you can't get legal aid or pay for a solicitor to represent you in court, you can get advice from someone like 'Support Through Court' - https://www.supportthroughcourt.org/

Debt assessments do take other costs into account. The aim there is to understand how much money the person has available to deal with their debts. There's no point making an agreement to pay a creditor £50 a month if there's only usually £10 left after all allowable spending because all that will happen is that the debtor will default, the creditor will cancel the arrangement and probably won't be inclined to agree to another one.

Surely you can eyeball the letter and it is pretty clear whether it’s a scam or not? These things need common sense to sniff out and by asking the question you probably already know it’s dodgy - I’d be putting it in a drawer and forgetting about it. Or upload a pic here and see what everyone else thinks.

Update: I didn’t cancel the interview but I should have. I joined the call then the hiring manager asked me if I knew this was for a contract role (I didn’t!). He said it’s for a 6 months contract role and asked if I was interested in the role still. I said ‘in all honesty, no, there is some flexibility on the contract type’.

I have a permanent role and I’m not about to leave it for a 6 months contract.

I honestly had to be clear about the fact I wasn’t aware it was for a 6 months stint. The recruiter completely gaslighted me by sending me to an interview with no job description and on top of this not informing me it was for a 6 months contract!

I could have pretended I knew and dealt with the recruiter after just for the sake of the interview, but I don’t like being lied to and gaslighted because it’s already happened to me beforeso the interview ended right there. Recruitment firms need to be called out on there BS to lure candidates.

I think the hiring manager did me a favor by asking if I knew it’s for a 6 months contract, because a lot of hiring managers don’t and take it for face value you’ve been told by the recruiter.

Blocked the recruiter’s email and phone number. I had this situation happened to me two years ago and the recruiter kept blowing my phone when I called them out and withdrew my application. I don’t have time for this.
I wonder if they'd interviewed other candidates that also didn't know?

That’s really shady of them. I’d probably say something. Wouldn’t expect much outcome but I’d want them to know it’s not ok to do that
Agree, you need to complain to them about the extra charge and the receptionist attitude about it and then tell them they've lost a customer. Even if you LOVE your hair, ever go back

Can someone enlighten me - I got a balayage today I was charged extra for the fact they used a toner. I’m a bit annoyed because if you’re doing a balayage, the toner is inevitable. I don’t get this.

Can someone explain?
I thought toner always costs extra? When I was blonde I always paid if I needed toner.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It just sounds outright unfair in every way. And as much as I'm realistic about the world, I hate when justice isn't served.

I know it's very easy to gush about your own child but she is such a hard worker. She has a chronic illness, a master's degree and is currently studying for another part time (on a full scholarship!) and hasn't taken a single day of sickness/leave off for either in months. And she's passing with flying colours!!! She'll take a lot of slack but being called lazy/not hard working/etc seems to really hit her right in the heart.

I wish she saw herself as I (and I'm sure her friends) see her :(

Sounds like the boss is ripe for a tribunal in any case - if not with your Daughter he will push someone else too hard and get his come uppance.

The freezer has been left ajar , probably overnight , would you still eat the food inside.?
It's still pretty cold, but not the temp it runs at and some of the food is still firm .
Depends what the food is and if it's still frozen. If it's defrosted to the point that would need refreezing then I wouldn't. Unless you cook it the same day I guess, probably not different than defrosting something in the fridge overnight

I am looking to have my apartment oven and extractor fan professionally cleaned.

Do you reckon I need to ask my landlord for permission first?
We had it done twice in our past rental. I never asked permission but just told landlady it needed doing & did she have a usual person to do it or anyone she’d recommend. She didn’t so we organised it ourselves, and next time I just have gave her a heads up again that the same person was coming.

So I think ours live in the skirting boards as I always see them in the nooks where the carpet meet the wall so I'd do a good spray of the perimeter of the rooms you've seen them as it will help stop them moving around the house.

Other than that they like organic material so keep on top of any dust and hair etc.
Just found another on a pair of jeans I had hanging over the edge of the bed, but fell over before I had chance to throw it out the window . 😣 going to have to be thorough, by the looks of it.

@Rodneytrotter ...definitely do this👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼.
My sister almost missed out on an inheritance from her grandmother, as her gem of a father said that he was "unable to trace her". Luckily, her uncle is a much more honourable character and he was able to let her know by writing to her at our mum's house. The house where my sister was born and where our mum has lived for over 50 years. Not exactly hard to trace! 😡.
Good luck, I hope that you get the money that your gran wanted you to have.
Thank you ❤ the executor knows exactly where I live and my number. But she doesn't speak to me anymore.

😣 how have they managed to get upstairs 😭 yes, I’ve bought some spray and it should arrive in the next few days. Am I going to have to cover my whole house?! Fortunately, I don’t have any pets. I’ve had them a while but only ever seen the odd one and killed it and thought it was just a regular bug. I hoovered yesterday and emptied it straight away.
