How do I stop the scammers and chances from hassling me on Facebook market place. I’ve had about 25 messages in 30 mins since listing various electrical items including iPhones. They all say I will send you money if my uncle can pick it up. NOPE

I have found the only way is to block and delete.

Anything electrical brings out the scammers.

Yeah unfortunately don’t think you can stop it. I tried to sell my sons old tablet and the constant spam was driving me insane I had to put my phone on do not disturb 😂

It's a nightmare, I just keep it on the local pages now an don't share it to the FB market, I was forever blocking them

Does anyone know how to report a YouTube channel without signing in?

I was scrolling down my feed this morning and came across what claims to be a ‘yoga’ channel posting full blown intimate parts photos. It seems the owner of this channel is a yoga teacher promoting ‘nude’ yoga by literally showing their private parts.

This should have no space on YouTube where kids can’t stumble upon this nonsense. I’m honestly disgusted this wasn’t filtered by YouTube.

I’m not sure how to report but hope you find out how because that’s awful! Shocked YouTube have allowed it to be uploaded

Could you just make a dummy account? If you want to post it here, I can report it for you.

Jesus!
I got to the porn images in the comments but when I signed in to report they disappear. I can’t see any actual genitalia ones. I don’t know how they’re doing it but I’ll have a look again later.

Thank you! Appreciate it!

I’ve posted this in the share your cat thread but it’s not very frequented so thought perhaps I’d try here too…

We're getting a kitten. We thought we wanted a girl but lots of people who have both are saying they can also spray even after being done and boys can be more affectionate, calmer and less aloof. I remember our old boy being a real cuddle monster. We'll have a nearly 3 year old and 🤞🏼 a baby on the way when kitten arrives.

There's a fluffy, very pale ginger, almost grey ginger boy, a darker fluffy but smoother ginger boy with markings and a similar coat tortoise shell/ginger & black girl to choose from. Have to admit I've always wanted a ginger cat but I also love diddy girls. Just to narrow it down, I’m thinking the fluffier, paler one will be more hard to deal with hair wise?

Any thoughts please?

Re hair it's hard to tell without actually seeing them and also knowing what your home is like, I guess if one requires more grooming then yeah, that will be more work but tbh, if you're getting a cat, it's always a never ending battle with hair around the house 🤣

On personality, I don't think it can be prejudged based on gender. It just varies cat to cat, depending on the breed, how they're socialised when they're growing up. So just go with whichever one you want. Or just get both 🤣

I agree with the joke above to get two if possible financially - kittens are demons generally, but there's a thing called single kitten syndrome that kittens adopted on their own can have that is mitigated by adopting litter mates together.

We got one and wish I'd known about the above and so much regret not also adopting her brother too, as she was an absolute terror for about a year, and does exhibit some of the behaviours of the syndrome even as an adult cat.

Our girl has never sprayed, however when she went into heat it was honestly torture so bear that in mind. Our vet recommended she not be spayed until she was 2kg and she wasn't at 6 months when she reached maturity, so we had a couple of times of her screaming the house down 🥴

With long hair, they might actually not shed more than short hair cats however recommend getting them used to being brushed from as soon as getting them as they can develop matting very quickly when their coat moult with the seasons. My mum has a long haired boy who will not tolerate any brushing and has a real problem with keeping his fur healthy.

Let us know what you decide. I am an absolute crazy cat lady 😂

I've had two from the same litter together twice and also three single cats and in all honestly the latter pair together were worse. Maybe it's because they were boys? They shredded my curtains and all sorts.

I obviously think if you could afford two (or three) you should do that because I'm a slightly mad cat woman. My realistic advice would be to chose the one you feel most drawn to though.

Thank you for the help, we've gone with the ginger boy. I've always wanted a ginger cat.
I know it's not really the issue and their personality will be what it will be so please don't think it'll be an accessory. Colour/sex was just the only way to chose as they are so tiny still.
Having two isn't an option just now unfortunately.

I had a new front door installed a while ago and now I’m looking to paint or varnish it. It’s a completely bare wooden door with no paint, varnish or treatments on it currently.

If I decide to varnish it, how should I prepare the door? Do I need any pre-treatment before applying varnish? Same goes for if I decide to paint, do I need a pre-treatment or undercoat or can I go straight in with wood/exterior paint?

It’s worth mentioning that I live in a flat in an ex council building, the halls and stairwell in the building are completely concrete and a pretty ugly brown and beige colour. I’m wondering if I should match my door with the rest of the halls which would mean varnishing it a deep walnut or black/brown. This technically would look best from the outside but wouldn’t be my first choice for the interior side of the door. Would it be silly to varnish the outside one colour but paint the inside a different colour? My interior hallway in my flat is nice and bright so would probably do a white or pale grey to keep it bright as there’s no windows.

I hate making DIY decisions😖

If you take a parcel in for a neighbour whilst they are out who should the onus be on to get the parcel to the owner?
I think the recipient should come to my house to retrieve. Is this wrong?
They are never in to receive their parcels and feel they know that I WFH so will be here to take them in.
They never come to retrieve them though so then I’m continually having to knock their door when I think they might be in.
Am I being unreasonable to think this should be a them problem?
