I'm halfway through listening to it and yes, it very different to her previous album, but it a good different as it slow-paced and seems very simple musically. This is not a pop album, but something you would put on if you need to calm down or have on as background music.

I'm on my second listen, defo a few skips on there but it's a great showcase of her songwriting.
Agree totally on lover, it was too long and took so long to come out that it didnt feel like an album to me, more like a playlist of good songs.
I just checked my playlist and I have 3 lover songs
the majority are from Red deluxe edition 
fearless and speak now,i really need Taylor to get obsessed with more guys that will then go on to duck her over or, shock horror, not like her back,
is that really to much to ask. Where the duck is John Mayer lately? can he drop her a “we should catch up”’ text or something.

I quite liked folklore with the first listen, it's definitely a relaxed feel that I'll probably listen to on late night drives or just in the background. I didn't know what to expect in all honesty, but in typical Tay fashion I'm listening to a lot of the songs again & have them stuck in my head. For me, it'll probably be a no skip album but that may change after a few plays.
I thought the cardigan video was good considering the circumstances but compared to other videos I don't feel compelled to watch it again but I guess it does suit the song.

I love the Easter eggs & hints, they are always fun & cryptic but sometimes other fans drive me mad with all their theories. There were times with lover that I just wanted the music released and not overthinking five holes in the fence

Mandy actually has had a few good albums, most unlikely considering she started with Candy

Agree about the roll out, lover was a mess with the overdone easter eggs. I like the eggs too but in true taylor style she went overboard - especially when she started lying and saying no one had guessed the album title!
I quite like that folklore is the story of betty, james and the other girl. She really can bring all those emotions from the early albums and create a whole story for someone else. Shows that she doesnt have to be miserable herself. I can see her writing a book or musical one day

This is definitely a coffee house album.

Epiphany made me sob. The first verse relates to going to war and then the second sounds like it could be about covid.

I haven't listen to the whole thing yet. Really enjoyed exile featuring Bon Iver. I already think I will prefer it to Lover and Reputation but I really didn't enjoy those albums.
Usually I instantly really like Taylor’s new albums whenever they’re released but I don’t love the one yet although I think it’ll be a grower. Betty is my favourite song so far, it sounds a bit like something from Speak Now.

I like Lover as separate songs. But it felt at the time and even more now that it's possibly her last pure pop album. It almost felt like she was stretching herself to still be in that genre. Where as folklore seems like a perfect fit and where many fans wanted her to go after rep.the only good thing about Lover was......

This album is an absolute dream and everything I have wanted from Taylor. It really showcases her amazing storytelling, and the songs really suit her voice. Beautiful and so relaxing. I think the quality of writing is way better than Lover and Repuation.
The 1 A really nice mellow song. Love the flow of her voice in it. 5/5.
