I hate the whole girls girl narrative. Billie was calling Taylor out (albeit rightly/wrongly about sustainability) only a few weeks ago. Kim was sharing revenge porn of Taylor. Other female celebrities have made shady comments about her. Why does it only matter about Taylor being a girls girl when it comes to her success? Like someone else said, there’s never this narrative about guys?!?!

Honestly I do think a lot of it comes down to jealousy of the astronomic success Taylor has. Nobody can really touch her in the music industry at the moment, and that’s true whether you like her or loathe her.

Also, if your long awaited new album with multiple versions (that apparently are so terrible for the environment) can’t chart higher than a couple of digital versions with an additional voice memo that, let’s be real, only THE most dedicated fans will buy anyway… then maybe that’s not Taylor’s problem…?

Just my tuppenceworth but I’ve got a bee in my bonnet because Billie has been annoying me a bit lately - she’s got such a high opinion of herself and so much of her success is down to Finneas IMO.

I also think she’s stuck in this toxic mindset of must stay at the top of the charts by any means (10 diff variants remixes etc etc) because she thinks if she slips off it she’s done for. This is nonsense, the success of Folklore, Evermore, and now TTPD and Eras has proven this already, but she had that anxiety of her being shelved as she’s a pop star woman early 30s she was mentioning in the Miss Americana doc, so maybe it’s still deep seated in her subconscious. That she doesn’t want to relinquish being top dog so she’s in her over productive era, when does she’s calm down though, as it’s not healthy surely!

Honestly the way people went on you’d assume she was a trafficked into some kind of hostage situation for six years. The narrative is that Taylor always plays the victim but I think a bigger issue is fans doing it on her behalf and treating her like some vulnerable little child.

Nah when I realised the bonus songs are different variants..
This is one of the few things I would consider buying if she just released one with all of them together but absolutely no way for just one or dropping cash on all of them. This feels a bit too far.
