The "hello my loves" does my head in too!

I've watched Jess for a long time and loved her content while she was in Edinburgh. I find her content hard to stomach recently. It's not that she's super privileged and rich - that's just life, I get that. It's seeing how lucky she is (look at those house reno plans! She's insanely blessed to be able to afford that, mostly thanks to her mum I guess, at her age), whilst watching her completely lazy behaviour. I mean she goes on about how drained she is and she needs to take a power nap so that she can read for hours without falling asleep.

I will say though her vlogtober this year is miles better than last year. Maybe because Zach is around more now which has made her happier? Which if so is maybe a little worrying that she's so dependent on him being around. Though I guess it might be the working home alone gets her down which is common, rather than it being specifically about needing to be around Zack. Can't believe he quit his chef training to be her assistant..

If someone is happy that they’re pregnant, which Jess seems to be, then that’s great! She’ll know soon enough what the reality of having a baby is like and I’m sure she’s discussed the housing situation with her family. As mentioned above she does own a house so it’s not like she’ll be there for years and years

To the amazing tattler who had the tea on jessie being lazy, unhygienic and unable to clean up after herself at uni, firstly this is great lighthearted tea, so whover troed to hush them down, why?? And you're on a gossip forum stop spoiling things flr tje rest of us. It also make a lot of sense to me, as I doubt jessie has ever had to bleach the loo herself.

No doubt she grew up with an army of cleaners, housekeepers (not the same as a cleaner at all) gardners and grounds keepers, Nannies and someone to drive her about on a whim before she learnt. People who've never cleaned just don't even think to, they really do believe it just happens.

(This is also true to people from more humble backgrounds who had a parent pick up after them continually. They make horrible housemates.)

Even though she doesn't need to work, i am surprised her mother didn't cut her off financially after her masters, doesn't she want jessie to be able to stand on her own two feet. Have some self respect? Is she not embarrassed her daughter has no ambition or drive?? She has the benefit of a good education behind her, two degrees ffs. She could even offer to give her some money if jessie took on a voluntary role, or a low paid but, valuable job part time. Supporting zak as well is mind boggling, what about if (when) they split? Wtf will he actaully do? How will their child have any respect for them if they are just loafing around their lovely house acting like middleaged teenagers.

Maybe something is in the works, but she is hiding is better than zak's insurance policy her pregnancy if it is.

She probably also came back because of her mums diagnosis around that time.

Im just as annoyed at influencers breaking lockdown given at times I feel like an idiot and as if I’m the only person actually sticking to the rules, but I do have to say that if I was in the position that my mum was fighting cancer and wanted to go to the country house for Christmas then I would do everything I could to make that happen if I thought it would give her a boost.

Appreciate that won’t be a popular opinion and is very speculative and specific as to a reason for why they might have gone to the farm.

Her mum has Lymphoma. Totally gutted for her. While Jess lacks work ethics I do admire her for help she does her someone in her family is sick.

Well, Jess went to quite posh girls’ schools and it’s not uncommon for grandmas to move to smaller houses, or for single moms to move to a flat while on the look for a new house, but yeah, who knows.

Or have a flat they buy when their house is being renovated

I think we can stop using it, because I don’t think it’s a real option. You get a c-section when there is a medical need.

In Britain you do actually have a choice, and given the right support and information you should be allowed to make an informed decision- phrases like the one you've said are totally unhelpful and increase negativity around c-sections, and that in turn affects someone's decision on whether to have one based on their own circumstances and medical needs. Seriously, just stop using the phrase.

Ive no doubt that social media is potentially very harmful if you are a vulnerable teenager or in a vulnerable place mentally.
I don’t understand why someone Jess’ age chooses to follow her & then gives out about her unattainable lifestyle because of how it makes them feel.

I think this entirely misses the point. No one is suggesting she should do a low paid 9-5. The point is that she does... nothing. She thinks reading all day is a genuinely busy day. She seems to want some kind of purpose in her - at present, directionless - life. Whether that’s a low paid, high paid, or voluntary role, it doesn’t matter. She just seems to have a gaping hole in her life post-education sitting around achieving nothing at all. I think a lot of people here want that for her because she has the opportunities open to her and she always seemed to want to achieve something, before it all dwindled down to nothing.

This. I wasn’t suggesting she get a 9-5. But she’s become chronically lazy & claims to be tired (pre pregnancy) while doing next to nothing. There are loads of things she do that would get her out if the house. Free tutoring etc. Or she could do some of her house herself.

I've really enjoyed her book reviews..... when she's put them out. I do think she could cut down on how many books she reviews if she's struggling to make the videos? Like, why not just review the best 2 and the worst 2? Even if she just did really short reviews, said one or two things about why a book was mediocre, and focused on the ones she really liked/disliked, surely that would make it easier snd quicker for her to make the videos?? I'm sure vloggers make their lives harder for themselves by wanting everything to be ~perfect~

I genuinely don't believe it's the number of reviews that's the issue, I think she's just ultimately lazy and doesn't think she needs to upload to stay relevant.

she is painfully hard to watch lately, her busy life is getting her nails done, getting her hair done, having some “planning meetings” with Zack in a public place that she can’t film because **celebrities go there**

when did she become such a pretentious dick, she’s a lazy shite, what 22 (?) year old naps in the middle of the day?! And views going to her family home to get a few jumpers and a hideous hat as “work”

they seriously must do fuck all when the 2nd of December is “winding down for the year” so much so, she can’t even go to the fucking gym.

I love the idea of an influencer going through their entire pregnancy without ever 'announcing' it to their followers. Like you see the belly grow in their photos as the months pass but they post content as usual, reply to the comments with the usual 'thanks! This shirt is from Zara!' and never acknowledge the other questions.
