I tend to stop watching influencers after they have a baby as their content becomes too motherhood/child focussed which isn't really for me, but she didn't sound like she was sure if she would even feature the baby much so we will see..
All influencers say this until they have the baby and realise it becomes their life and their personality.

If she’s not pregnant she’d want to get pregnant soon,
This thread would be on page 2 if it hadn’t been for those rumours and speculation 😐

Well according to her IG post it's because it requires more brainpower than she's had access to... not like she did a 4-year undergrad and then a Master's or anything that possibly requires a lot of brainpower

But seriously it just reinforces the fact she's depressed at the moment

7 figure salary is a lot so to be making that each is insane! Especially when you consider the average wage in the UK.
From my experience most lawyers and people in the legal profession come from some what of a middle class background so I assume her mum has come from a decent enough background, like you can always tell someone’s background based on the houses they grown up in. Jess and her mum live in centeralish London, in 3 story town house. They’re loaded in my opinion 😂
agreed, they’re completely loaded, not even a question about it 😬 You can tell from their townhouse size (she walks down those stairs for what feels like days), the luxury interior design, the ginormous farm, Jess’ clothes and jewelry, the fact that she gets Diptyque advent calendars for Christmas from her mom as a small treat (those are $400), even the amount of books they can buy brand new...list goes on and on. They’re a boujee family and that’s a fact🤷🏻‍♀️

I was a very early subscriber to Jess' youtube channel. I'm going back to the Lita wearing disco pants days that she was in School. I was a loyal subscriber throughout the entire time she was at uni in Edinburgh and always found her videos and vlogs really calming and cosy. Her lookbooks back in the day genuinely inspired me to buy things and she is one of the only youtubers I can say that about.

Then came the end of uni and as far as I'm concerned the end of any kind of relatability. It's like she lost her quirky fashion sense and just started throwing any old shit together. The more hobo the better. How many tattoos would you like? Yes. Grumpy Zac arrived. And what went from a hobby of reading became some sort of weird obsession.

Then the ads. Ad after ad after ad. She posted a diet coke ad on her youtube and I commented on it with a long reasoning as to why I didnt find her relatable anymore and sadly would be unsubscribing. It got over 100 likes. In her next video she addressed the comment saying "people shouldnt be getting their knickers in a twist when ads are just part of the job".

I havent watched one of her videos since until these evening when I noticed this thread. I watched 3 minutes of her latest book review where she apologises that she didnt take notes as meticulously as she normally would....

Notes....

Notes while reading.......

Who the fudge takes notes while reading unless it is for an exam or essay..... she is so unrelatable she makes zoella look like one of the gang.

It's actually sad. Every opportunity available to her and she sits on her arse and complains about being exhausted.

I totally understand why she has chosen to keep this private. I personally don’t blame her tbh I would do the same. It’s no ones business at all and not everything needs to be shared online.

All I can say is I hope the best for her and her family.

Oh for the love of god, fuck all the way off Jess, 20th of November and she still hasn’t had time to take her reviews from goodreads film a review upload of books she started reading 51 days ago?
This picture really does sum her up, sloth like, I’ve no idea what’s going on with her family so I can only go by what she puts online, and that’s an image of a very lazy, uninterested girl who couldn’t even be bothered to do the bare minimum.
unsubscribed after realising I’ve not watched any of her content in months.

I'm sure they're taking precautions - probably ordering groceries delivered rather than going into stores themselves, etc. - but it's just frustrating to see so many people trying so hard to bend the rules. I don't think Jess's family is doing anything immensely risky, but the problem occurs when "what can I get away with?" is just the general mindset. Most of my friends here in California don't have a whole second property to go to, but many have been "safely" traveling all over the place ever since March, going on "camping trips" where they still go into other cities, flying to other states to visit family, etc. If people would just ALL STOP LEAVING THEIR HOMES for like...a month...this would be much easier to get under control. Part of the problem lies with the governments that are failing to really strictly limit things, but to some extent I don't think they reasonably can enforce strict enough regulations. At some point people need to have an attitude that shifts from "What's just barely justifiably still legal?" to "How can I help stop the spread and make sure I'm not doing something unnecessarily that has the potential to contribute to the problem?"

Now she's dreaming of the weekend 🤔 You'd think, for someone who reads as much as she does, she'd be able to come up with better captions that aren't so out of touch.

It’s a shame someone who is clearly very intelligent and has all the means to go out there, have an amazing career with nothing holding her back isn’t using it.

I am quite baffled by anyone who claims they feel compelled to compare themselves to her. Choosing to compare yourself to anyone is a choice. Why don’t the same people choose to compare themselves to those who are worse off?
Actually there’s very good evidence that shows social media is quite harmful for people’s mental health (young girls/adolescents in particular) exactly because they are comparing themselves to an unattainable ideal or lifestyle. So it’s clearly not as simple as “choosing” not to compare yourself. That’s great if you’re able to distance yourself and use social media/follow influencers without being susceptible to the negative effects, but it’s very shortsighted to expect others to be able to do the same and quite patronising to be judgmental of people who do struggle with it.

I think she just wants a purpose, and studying clearly made her happy
Still catching up, but she is more likely to sprout wings and fly then study medicine, i doubt even with straight A's she be excepted. She could be s teacher but again, hard work even in a cushy private school.

She will have the kid, a ludicrous name will be bestowed and nannies will be hired but, probably on the DL. No way in hell she won't have a night nanny and, she will carry in her life of a female dandy. I would bet on whatshisface proposing to secure his financial security with jess, fond of her he may well be, but in love with lifestyle she offers he certainly is. Frankly he would be foolish not to, as presently his position is quite vulnerable. Realistically how much respect can you have for someone who does nothing all day and leeches of their parents? How many conversations about her day lying in bed / sofa and reading, going to PT, nails, hair, shopping freebies are possible.

I sometimes still watch her old vlogmas/vlogtober from when she was in Edinburgh. I really love these videos as I watched them while doing my undergrad and am now doing my Master's. It was enjoyable to watch her going to the library, talking about classes, getting ready to go out with her friends/Zach. She seemed much more excited and interested in what was going on in her life. Now she never really talks about anything other than books and the odd time make up or clothes which are not really relatable (bc they're brands I wouldn't even know where to buy). She seems kind of uncomfortable talking about her new house as well, which I understand, someone who just graduated college buying a massive house in London, not exactly relatable content during a pandemic. I totally understand it could be a really hard time for her to be vlogging and putting on a happy face but I've been thinking this since she moved to London. Maybe while in Edinburgh she felt more 'ordinary' and was happy to be talking about what she was getting up to as people could relate, but now she feels less likeable bc she's so privileged?

Forget about a great career in anything other than influencing, she's just not going to have it especially now with a baby. She'll be an influencer forever, perhaps with a change in direction.
