she wouldn’t have been pregnant at the time. She’s due this March, that means last March will be a full year from the day she’s due. The earliest time she could’ve found out about her pregnancy is July.
They came back in may didnt they? Because they spent a while at her dads? She 100% came home because of mums diagnosis

Can someone give me the link to report her videos for non-disclosure of Ads? Getting real sick and tired of her NEVER properly disclosing her ads (nothing in the title, nothing on the thumbnail). It's not a one time mistake, it's ALL THE TIME. Why does she think she's above the law??

I'd forgotten that her due date was so early in the year. Sadly, it's highly unlikely we'll be getting many videos at all in 2021.

My guess would be in the single digits.

I'm so confused about the instagram picture. It's literally none of my business but I just wanna know what's going on. If she isn't pregnant, that top was definitely an unflattering choice...
To be honest, almost everything she's been wearing recently has been super unflaterring. Sizes L or XL on her small frame.

Jess has never been signed to Gleam - she’s with M&C Saatchi Social. But yeah, each collab is still a lot of (easy) money. Not to mention, she’s never had to pay for rent out of her own pocket or anything like that. Essentially, all the money she’s made on YouTube over the years she would have been able to save up.

Can't watch her anymore without fast forwarding and skipping through, for some reason she makes me feel low in energy. Also a year is a long long time for that house to stay pretty much the same as before and unrenovated, can't imagine the stress that brings.
Her vlogs are also just SO BORING now. I used to love her vlogs because she actually did stuff, now she just sits in one spot in her house and talks it's a snoozefest

It's hard isn't it and I can imagine the dilemma.

Stay in London and follow restrictions but all in the knowledge that you're in an area where infection rate is currently high and with a modified strain that is potentially more infectious -- this might make the temptation to leave for place where there is lots of open space more appealing. Maybe they'll think because they'll just get in the cars and not stop anywhere that it'll be safe to dash to the farm till the New Year but doing so does raise the risk of spreading it to less infected areas or picking it up when they inevitably need to do a food shop.

Omg my jaw literally dropped and I ran straight here 🤭 I’m actually very happy for her, and also selfishly happy for me because her content will be perfectly aligning with my own life — I’m due at the same time as her and exactly the same age 😅 That’s why I obviously disagree with everyone who says 26 is too young to have a baby. It’s really not. If you feel ready, then no one can dictate your timeline for you.
congrats on the pregnancy!! 🥰 🥰

Some companies pay £20,000 for videos, I would imagine because Jess is signed to gleam, she gets somewhere in the region of £5k for a video! And she regularly does Instagram pics so about £2.5k for those, she could easily make more if she wanted but chooses not too, so she will have lots of money from her family, not forgetting her dad! He must be minted too
I dont think Jess would get that kind of money tbh, maybe on Insta but not YT. Her following and reach doesn't justify the cost but I guess it depends how good her manager is at their job!!

He’s in this video!

And this one:
Ahh a USC exchange student. He was very confident on camera, which often doesn't translate well (nice topless shot on the second video). Glad to see Jess had her fun before settling down 😊

Also, never saw her family's country house before!

Do we think she will ever change her style? I'm so sick of the baggy crap that she wears. I'm guessing that horrible nose ring isn't coming out anytime soon either.
I at least don’t think the baggy stuff is going anywhere until that baby is maybe 1 year old.
Jess always struck me as a little self conscious about her shape for some reason and I don’t see that going away soon.

Don't get me wrong, I used to love Jess' content. However, I feel like over the past few years I've gradually been falling out of love with influencer content in general.

(Some background on myself to make this make sense) so being a post grad in London, struggling to find that inital grad job and working in a restaurant in the interim while struggling to pay extortionate London rent prices - it does gall seeing someone you follow receive numerous designer items for free and go on many expensive holidays etc.

Obviously this is incredibly whiny and self pitying, everyone has their own struggles and there are obviously people out there who have much worse struggles to contend with. And obviously, none of this is directly Jess' or any other influencers 'fault.' They get free stuff as PR.

I use influencer content as a kind of escape and a way to wind down after my day. I've been watching influencers since I was a teenager, before the term 'Influencer' was even a thing. Watching vloggers used to feel warm and familiar, these were people like me, who I could relate to. However my feeling towards influencer content has been changing recently as I've realised that it's become increasingly more sinister over the years. There seems to be such a disparity of wealth between myself and the people I used to be able to relate to and it's chilling to realise that what I used to see as some lighthearted entertainment has become more about trying to sell me a lifestyle which seems so unattainable instead.

Again, I understand this is an incredibly cynical viewpoint to take. Influencer marketing exists for a reason and understandably its up to us to self regulate if we're uncomfortable with the content we're consuming.

However. The thing that got to me the most about Jess' videos recently (and the reason I'm even on here in the first place) is one of her recent Vlogtober videos (from Oct 21st). It begins with her having a 'planning day' which she stops at quarter past 4 to read a book. She mentions going out to take a picture, but then puts it off because she's 'not feeling inspired.' The next day she starts off by saying 'nothing urgent needs to happen' so she spent the morning finishing her book. She then goes out to buy an expensive table. The next day she's out at Kew gardens. The next day is Thursday and she's in bed talking about how she wants to do a botany course?? Then the next day arrives. It's Friday - she's done NO work???? All week. Initially I had to turn the video off at this point it enraged me so much.

I don't usually feel so strongly about stuff like this but boy this video REALLY got to me. This girl OWNS a house in London. She bought a HOUSE. Surely to earn that kind of money to be able to do that you'd need to work pretty hard right??? Apparently not.

I understand her work might have seen a bit of a lapse recently due to Covid but still. Again, I understand she's going through personal family struggles as well for which I completely sympathise. But there hasn't been a single ounce of work completed so far from what I can see.

It's so frustrating for those watching, doing their 9-5 who would LOVE for the chance to go out to Kew gardens in the middle of the day, or have a nap, or read a book whenever they feel like it. But oh yeah. That's not how having a job works is it.

Back to the video, so it's Friday and Jess happily announces 'yesterday I spent most of the day reading' she at least has the self awareness to do a guilty chuckle at the end of the sentence. So what's she up to today I hear you ask? 'Zak and I are going to head into John Lewis.' Right. She then comes home to complain about how John Lewis was 'very uninspiring' 😅ffs.

She then goes off on a tangent about how lazy and unproductive her week has been. 'I feel like there's so much I could have got done which I didn't do. But it's Friday, so I'm not going to start doing anything now.' Fantastic. Not sure my boss would buy it if I tried to tell her that to be honest.

She then goes on to talk about how these weeks happen and she's trying to be gentle and easy on herself. And I get that. I really do. But it just doesn't seem like she's attempted to do anything whatsoever. How can you literally not work for a whole week??

She then goes on to say that she's going to try and give herself a kick up the ass next week and to 'foster some inspiration.' Which sounds like a good idea.

I hate how bitter this is coming across but it's just so difficult. I would LOVE to have the job she has. It's just so insulting to see someone in her incredibly privileged position who does not seem to acknowledge it in the slightest.

Idk, this has been a long rant. Let me know your thoughts pls.
my opinion is that she’s depressed and has nothing to do with her time. It very easy to fall down a black hole when there are no goals or things to work toward, plus the situation with her mom I’m sure is making it much much harder. I’m not defending her, but I think Jess circa 2016 (when she was in uni) was a more accurate representation of the person she wants to and likes to be. I think after she finished school, she became really aimless. The only thing she has to think about right now is the house reno, but nothing beyond that. She thrives when she has a busy social /academic life (all seen around 2016-2017), and she looks so happy during those days, and very fulfilled. Hopefully after COVID and all, she’ll try to get her stuff together. A social career or a brick-and-mortar PhD would do her a load of good, IMHO.

So, she's posted on Insta that she's back from "Christmasworld" (can't relate) and that she's so excited because it's a new year and that means her book buying ban is over. But she hasn't addressed why the vlog due this past Monday was never posted, and in fact says she has been hanging around the house in pajamas for the past 10 days.

Even though she claims to have rejoined the "real world" her failure to address the lack of video just seems to indicate she's living in denial. Oh, and as per usual, she's too good to reply to all the comments on her post asking what happened to the last vlog. But don't worry, your "support... really means the world" to her -- she just never bothers to actually acknowledge it.

People can't choose to give birth however they feel most comfortable - only if you have money can you really choose.
C sections always have their own problems too - internal scarring / pain / organs attaching and sticking to the scarring they are not the easy long term option. What i meant was a lot of pregnant people want c sections to avoid the trauma of a v birth, the very possible bladder / bowl problems from v births, not to mention stretching and the vagina / vulva not going back to how it was before and the effect on intimacy etc but are denied it and made to go through a traumatic natural birth - if you pay you can have more or less anything you want.

She will be coasting through this thanks to her familys money that enabled her to earn a lot on YouTube / insta. Just like she will hire nannies so she can carry on being lazy and self indulgent but will lap up adulation for "doing so well" or "doing it herself" will harp on about being tired needing a nap (while nanny does the grunt work) and being busy plageriseing other people's goodreads reviews.

Thank you my loves.
This quote killed me hahaha😂

I'm torn on whether I think she's not interested in it at all anymore and can't say no to the money, or if she's genuinely excited about some ideas she has but then gets so anxious about making "perfect" content that she struggles to actually execute on anything.

reading is something she adores.... so why make it sound like such a struggle 🤦‍♀️
I loved her passion for literature but lately EVERYTHING seems like it’s too much effort for her.
her vlogs used to be relaxing and cosy, now they’re hard to get though without feeling flat at the end, it’s the same with her book reviews.
Yes, literally agree so much. If you love something it should never feel like a chore but right now it feels like everything is a chore. I miss her look books too as she has different style to the majority of other fashion YouTubers and bloggers but I guess they’re too much effort?
