When I saw the underwear comments I assumed it was a clip from her pregnancy vlogs, talking about special underwear or something, but no. I get that she was supposed to be advertising the sweater, but I feel like it's a super weird length to be wearing with underwear. Would work better with one a few inches longer that covers her butt when standing and can kind of pass as a "tunic" that she could pose to show off a peek of underwear if that's the look she was going for.

Her maternity wouldn’t be unpaid. In the UK self employed people still get the standard maternity pay of £151.20 a week for 39 weeks. The only difference for employed people is they get 90% of their pay for the first six weeks followed by the £151.20 a week for the remaining 33 weeks. So I was sort of struggling to understand what her point was - it must have been relating to no one can cover her ‘work’.

I also really miss her showing more of her expensive items. I used to really look forward to her Christmas and birthday hauls, because they mainly consisted of gifts from her mum and she’d pick really beautiful luxury pieces. I feel as though Jessie doesn’t even casually mention gifts that her mum has bought for her anymore and the only expensive items she shares are gifted from farfetch

Now I got a theory about that. Might be a bit wild, but could it be that nowadays she doesn't get that much stuff from her mum? She could be trying to sustain herself on her own. But it is hard to imagine she didn't have help from mum to buy that enormous house.

It's weird in my office because the person who does it the MOST dramatically (I sit right next to the kitchen so I hear all the convos in there) is the head of the entire office. There's nobody higher that they would have to be impressing with their work ethic and yet there's still this compulsive "convince people I'm soooo busy" mindset. Also, with her mom, those conversations all happen at work, so how would Jess have had them so ingrained in her? It's always possible that her mom played that up outside of work, too, but I think it's more likely that it's only partially due to hearing everyone else doing it. Most of it with her still seems to be that she's always *feeling* busy and overwhelmed even though she's actually accomplishing absolutely nothing her audience ever sees.

Agreed. Her views and engagement are not that high - many videos have 25k views - and she hasn't helped the matter by refusing to interact with her audience

Let’s face it is, with sponsored work she is earning £££. The Anna edit payed herself £300k. Jess isn’t at that level and her accounts aren’t online (that I can see) so I can safely assume she earns minimum £50k a year, based on the brands she works with etc

I'm ashamed to say I've done about two deep dives trying to find it. Not sure if GG did find it but I certainly can't. Thought it would be somewhat easy as they rent out the cottages on site as holiday homes.

60 acres isn't huge, but £4m is quite a lot for what I've seen of it. But there could be stuff we haven't seen such as a pool or tennis courts?

Back then it felt like she actually wanted to share things with her followers, and now it feels like she's only sharing things that she has to for sponsored content. I think she still kind of likes making videos, but it's not the same as the lookbooks and Q&As she was clearly happy to film even without a sponsor. I don't really blame her - I'm nowhere near the same person I was when I was in college/high school, but I wish some of these influencers would just step back entirely rather than halfassing their content and stringing their supportive followers along for years.

But they don’t have morals, until the cash dries up, she’ll be using social media

I believe they are still renovating. I think she mentioned it in her pregnancy announcement vid. She said they are going to stay with her mum for a little bit after the baby is born.

Thanks, I moved into a place that needed some work a month ago and people were on me every 2 days since Nov with 'when are you gonna move in, what are you doing' despite having a day job and doing alot of the painting/odd jobs myself . It's the pandemic, but with her kind of budget you can be sure builders are still working - although understandably these things take time.

Being a chef can be really a real strain though, it depends on where you work obviously but my partner was working as a chef before the Covid stuff hit and I barely saw him he worked such long hours. It doesn't surprise me too much that he stopped working in a kitchen. I was more surprised he stopped the ladbible stuff way before

Same. I guess if work with Jess doesn't last if she eventually does something else or he wants a change he would probably be able to get a job or freelance in that sort of thing

She said Mimi took a turn for the worse 'at the weekend', had to have emergency surgery and during the surgery they realised the problem was inoperable so they decided to put her to sleep. I would guess it was last weekend, but obviously we can't really tell with her editing when it was.
