I’m mindblown about what a woman recovering from cancer would take on more stress!!! US law firms London are by reputation ruthless to work for.

She’s probably one of those people who thrive from being busy/hard work and she probably loves her job. Hats off to her. I’m a lawyer too and she’s very inspiring!

Wouldn’t her funding some sort of small indie publisher or something make sense anyway?

I’m sure she could be involved in setting one up for the type of obscure books she reads, don’t know how hands on she would have to be if she was able to bring her following / massive income and partner with someone who has the actual experience and drive? More the vibe of molly mae being creative director at PLT like obviously there wouldn’t be much or any practical involvement

Makes as much sense as other youtubers creating clothing and stationery companies etc , she isn’t talking about creating the next bloomsbury lol but it would be interesting to see her setting up some sort of niche historical fiction or sci fi publisher , she is a pretty sizeable youtuber after all , and I don’t think she would expect to enter into it the industry directly into an editorial role she’s not deluded

I think her mum had a nice upbringing (her aunt was a Cantab) but not as financially well off as they are now. I think her mum grew up comfortably but not particularly wealthy.

Not at all surprised that she’s a comment deleter.
Tbh she’s completely unrelatable, but then all influencers are once they make it big - the difference with Jess is that her family’s wealth has always made her unrelatable to most people. Im sure any pregnant people would pay out if they had the means to, the reality is that most people can’t. I’ve always grown up poor, so can’t relate to the excess wealth but I appreciate the transparency of showing her plans, her preparations, etc. It does feel a lot more obvious than it used to, most likely because of the shit the world has dealt with in the past year

Agreed, she’s been unrelatable since the beginning of her YouTube career. Luxe holidays, $500 advent calendars, etc...all dating back to like 2014

ages ago she used to do more periods of grind. like before she went on her gap year she pre filmed loads of videos to go up over most of the time that she was gone for. Sure some of the videos were only a few minutes long but they were still content that went up.

Yes, I am specifically referring to this period when I talk about work ethics. The girl was such a great content creator back then. She would dedicate whole videos to her Jeffrey Campbell shoes, the very informative travel tips and the q&a were amazing!
