A parent I know of was asked to take her wee boy out of school (we think behavioural problems), and he got a place at the nearest one about six miles away. Still in Aberdeenshire so same local authority and they have to do the drop off and pick up for him.

I find it very hard to believe that they'd put on a taxi for a 80 min round trip twice a day for someone who chose to leave the locality.

Not the same as in Liverpool but my son has got a SEN place for September which is over 7 miles out from us and he got refused transport because I drive so he has means to get there, not sure whether that comes into affect elsewhere

That's awful! Crazy how different the rules are in different area's. For us the only rule in my area is you have to be a minimum of 3 miles away from your home address to the school, that's it. 3miles plus you automatically get transport.

You don't get set times anymore, it's essentially a 30 day rolling contract for both parties.

One of my patients who is very disabled with asd and other things.. moved over a riny border and his transport was stopped right away as they had moved out of the boundary. She is one of those mums that demand and end up getting it. Also the NHS do not except private diagnosis.. another assessment would be done, it's interesting that she has never mentioned being medicated.. there is a national shortage of meds.. but no way she wouldn't say if she was on meds. She is just a total belter.

There is no way she has bulimia. Someone very close to me suffers from Bullimia Nervosa and has lost so much weight. I’m not seeing any weightloss from you Beefy. What you may have is a disorder with eating and what you eat but don’t make out that you eat and eat then purge cos I’m not buying it. Makes me so angry when she says things like this

Exactly this. I have had a bad relationship with food. I have starved myself for a couple months lost a heap of weight, intentionally made myself sick like 5 times. I do not have bulimia, just a bad relationship with food and done some stupid things to try loose weight. If I had bulimia, then I would be stuck thin, constantly thinking about weight, calories etc FOR LIFE. She’s the biggest attention seeker I have ever seen.
