Haha don't knock the oldies and what they can find out. Honestly the amount of times my mum has found things out online with only a smidgen of information is quite frankly impressive.

Would that not be just within Aberdeen city though? I always thought there would have to be pretty special circumstances for a taxi to go to Ellon to pick up a kid (but who knows what she’s said, she always seems to get her own way)

My local authority wouldn’t provide transport for any child that has put in a placing request and that’s what she has done. Unless her local authority don’t have any ASN provision? Doubt that.

That’s what I thought and quite right! As you say, she moved there and probably didn’t make any enquiries into what is in the local area. She would hate it if he was suitable for enhanced provision because it sounds like her heart was set on where he is.

Not the same as in Liverpool but my son has got a SEN place for September which is over 7 miles out from us and he got refused transport because I drive so he has means to get there, not sure whether that comes into affect elsewhere
