the whole idea of ‘modesty’ is misogynistic in my opinion.
I agree with you on this, it is, but it's not just required in mosques, I guess that was my main point.

And I may not have technically "had" to cover my head but I would have felt bad if I hadn't because it was a sad occasion.

I'm not sure those two parts of your sentence are compatible...we know nothing about them, but you do know they are "chancers" and economic migrants? 🤔
Same as “they’re taking all our jobs” but are also “taking all and every single benefit” which one is it because those both things together cant be true 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah. It is misogynistic but it's also not just limited to one religion.

That’s fair enough but why should I have to wear a scarf? If it was my religion and I chose to do it then that is one thing but it isn’t welcoming to ask me to wear a scarf hypothetically to just engage with people when I am not religious.
It’s called respect. If I was entering a place of worship I’d respect their customs. No different to men wearing a kippah and women covering their hair in a synagogue. Let’s face it Grifty, there’s not much danger of you going to a mosque is there?

There was a video of a guy complaining he couldn’t get a job because of immigrants, it wasn’t the fact that he was a convicted peadophile.

Things would have to be very bad for the army to get involved. I don't know if the police are able to do much. One kicked a riot police officers shield and knocked her over live on sky and the police didn't really do anything. They don't seem to have enough police compared to the number of protesters. They're just standing there.
The police are doing a lot more than, just standing there.

One thing I’m curious about is the guy on sky news saying “the mosques are open, come in and discuss” so can I come in without a Hijab on?
You don't have to wear a hijab in a mosque , it's a personal decision. You must dress modestly, but going to their place of worship surely you'd want to respect their traditions and customs - treat people how you want to be treated etc. Isn't the reason people are angry that they are not respecting british culture, why wouldn't you respect theirs?

I saw that, he did add at the end that he had an assault conviction on camera but within 10 minutes the mighty internet did its thing and find his conviction for sexual assault of a 7 year old. 😡😡😡

Then don’t go? I don’t really get what the issue is. If I travelled to any other country and wanted to visit places of worship I would dress appropriately out of respect?
likewise if I visited any places of worship here, I would dress appropriately and respectfully and if that required me to cover my hair I would do. It’s no skin off my nose.

There is a lot wrong with every religion, especially the roles/views of women. My friend at the moment is having problems in her Jewish synagogue in relation to the males deeming that a woman can’t be a president. And it’s all kicked off. I’m not religious in the slightest but I do like to learn about other religions and I would be respectful if I attended any place of worship…if I couldn’t manage that, I wouldn’t go 🤷🏽‍♀️

If you look at those arriving every day on the boats most are chancers/economic migrants they are not escaping war …we know nothing about them they throw their papers…anyone with any sense would be fearful we don’t know their background . Most have views on women that belong in the Stone Age…it needs to stop and be controlled.
So how?? Everyone agrees there’s a need for control but unless we build a bloody big wall around us, givne we are an island then how do we do it?

It does seem that alot of people are more worried about the possibility of Brown skinned people maybe committing a crime than the White skinned who are committing them

I worked in the benefits system for years and heard this loads of times 'foreigners coming in to the country and taking jobs' my response was always that if all our unemployed found work that there would be no jobs for people coming in to the country to take.

I don't mean people unable to work due to health or caring commitments I mean the work shy career unemployed that never wanted a job anyway.

So do I, I deal with a lot of people too who don’t agree with immigration. and I’m not saying that I agree with uncontrolled immigration but you said that it needs to stop. And I’m curious as to how, people can’t just say it has to stop and expect other people to find a solution. Especially given the rather unique situation Britain is in. in fact, I’d ask everyone who is against immigration to come up with a solution because clearly you all know better than all the people who have already tried to stop it do!

You mean that “same old nonsense” you keep parroting yourself.
someone quoted you further up and asked what you proposed was the solution to the levels of immigration. Do you have any ideas or just “we need to stop the boats”
I’m yet to hear any sort of plan by people that have this view.

And it can’t be “just close the borders” because LEGALLY we CANNOT do that. So please, what is your proposed solution?

Do you happen to have any proposed solution for male violence against women and children? Because quite frankly, if we had your way and “closed the borders” - shock, the women and children wont be suddenly safe BECAUSE WHITE BITISH MEN commit multiple crimes against us every single day.

Ah! The fabled British Culture that needs protection
Don’t you think that’s a bit disrespectful to British people, the vast majority who are not rioting?
Also the thousands of years of British culture, of all nations on the island, that have contributed to our rich history.
These snide asides don’t actually foster an environment of mutual respect. Do they?
