Well I am Not personally a fan of his voice but he’s definitely had training. And clearly casting thought he had a good enough voice to be in one of the biggest shows in the west end. And not even a background role. I may not like the guy but credit where it’s due. He’s not getting this role because he’s a big guy or some deal was made and he’s certainly not getting it with an untrained or bad voice. He got it on his own merit and good for him. I hope it gives him a kick in the ass to be more productive.But he's literally never had a good singing voice, even when he got that gig doing that short Phantom show thing. It's clear he's never had proper vocal coaching and has no idea how to use his voice. Just for a start, he's singing outside his natural register which is one reason why it sounds so strained.
This is why I'm absolutely gobsmacked that he got this role. There are literally thousands of Musical Theatre wannabees out there with great voices and good acting skills. Dave has neither of these so I have literally no idea how he got the job. Plus people must be aware of the fact that he was not well liked by the cast and crew at TPTGW. The West End is a small world and people talk.

Dave said in one of the comments he will be in the show for a year! Surely that affects where Soaf lives and her plan to be pregnant by end of 2023It’s probably dawned on owl eyes that she’s got to cope with a child she doesn’t like on her own for months on end.
