Wow seeing them together they really are the same thing. Few matte v shimmer switches but wow.

I loved her first palette and the second was OK (just not my style) but this seems like flogging a long dead horse. Like others have said there are so many better make up influencers who deserve a go. Soph used to be all drug store affordable which fit revolution. She's gone more high end now (don't hate that - I'm a sucker for expensive make up and skincare) so MUR doesn't really fit any more. But I guess the more high end brands don't do collabs as much (or at all for some)....just a big cash grab.

Saw a comment on one of the videos about how amazing she is getting videos posted and edited. How great that she asked all the questions on her socials then got the video edited and up later the same day. Funny how quickly she can move when there's money involved... I feel she's lost what made her such a good YouTuber now. Resting on her laurels rather than making a real effort. It's a shame.

She's got a solid following, I don't understand why she doesn't come up with a business of her own? It doesn't need to be anything specific, we know she loves going for astrological vibes etc, she could easily put her design skills to use and create stationary, clothing, makeup etc, rather than piggy backing off of collabs. In all honesty she comes across as lazy and sluggish to me.

Same thing, we all know youtube can’t last forever which is the reason why so many big youtubers end up having their own business... but I honestly don’t think she has the skills and knowledge or the work ethic to pull something like that off... I feel like she’s all about the easy solutions and money grabs such as collabs...she also comes across incredibly cheap to me so there’s no way she would invest her money in something as risky as a company

Was just thinking this after seeing her stories about how she’s gonna edit and upload her vlog about bts...she can get 3 videos edited and ready to go in just a few days but can’t upload 2 or 3 videos regulary every week...you can really tell she’s tired of youtube, she just wants money and the benefits now without actually putting in the work

Is it just me that doesn’t understand the point of a lip liner/barely pigmented balm combo… why would I want to use a lip liner to fill in my entire lip then put a balm on top when I could just use a cream lipstick?? Or literally any other lip product tbh

Yeah the tinted balms don’t look pigmented at all. Plus, I’ll only whap out a lip liner if I’m wearing a lipstick. If I can’t be bothered to wear lipstick, I won’t be lining them just for a barely tinted balm

I thought the same as with the astrology theme clothing with skinny dip as Sophie Louise is the one that’s always been mad into astrology.

I’m watching her announcement video. I don’t understand why there is a such a gap between this collection and her past collection. I know COVID probably put a spanner in the works or something but surely they would have thought to start new collections with a new wave of influencers. I like Sophie though as a person and as I’ve said before, I’m happy for her and I’m glad she’s doing well.

I find it interesting that she swears in her videos now, not a big deal at all just sure she used to make an effort to cut or bleep it out. Although I’m sure she said in the past she does usually swear a lot - and she just dropped the F bomb in her latest video

Yeah I noticed it in a lot of her recent videos...I think she used to make more of an effort not to swear and she was still bleeping it in 2017/2018 and I think somewhere around the time of 2019 when James came along she started swearing more often and leaving it in....pretty sure they both think things like that make them “more cool” or whatever, the give me that vibe

I’m so tempted to try it but I also don’t need another palette. I really want to see what it is actually like because based on how it looks, I’m not impressed. It’s just a roxi palette with The colours swapped around.

Bought a highlighter duo, it is a much better formula than the original & I actually really like the lip kit, but I’m not convinced that it’ll last long as it needs reapplying a lot. I didn’t bother with the eyeshadows as I have the first two and honestly I didn’t buy that one of Roxi’s either as I just don’t like the colours, I prefer a neutral eye. I would say if you have Roxi‘s there isn’t much point to buy essentially the same palette. I do agree with people saying that the quality of revolution make up is a lot better now - as I have Roxi’s cosy palette & it’s a lot better than Soph’s original one so they have definitely improved a lot whilst still staying affordable.

Yea I bought the highlighter duo the big eyeshadow palette and the lip combo, partly out of interest but partly as I did need a new highlighter and am always looking for new lip products to try as I struggle to get anything to stay on my lips for more than 2 seconds! Also it was 3 for 2 on the website so was a bit cheaper than usual! Lol! So far I like it, I’ve only tried the browns from the eyeshadow palette but the highlighter is actually really nice and I really like the lip kit, the liner makes a lot of difference to the colour but the balm is reasonably tinted by itself so it’s nice to be able to have different options, I agree tho probably needs reapplying a lot but to be fair I’ve not found many products that I can get to stay put so I won’t hold that against it! I’m intrigued to try some of the brighter shades of eyeshadow but to be fair they do seem nice and pretty pigmented!

I won’t get the lip kit as I don’t wear lipstick.
i have the roxi palette that Sophs looks like and I hated it, I really couldn’t get on with it, thought it wasn’t very pigmented and a waste of money. I probably won’t bother with Sophs because I don’t need a new palette really (I will be buying the new Stacie Marie one though) as I have 30 .
I may purchase a highlighter though, I do use her original highlighter palette all the time so may buy a duo if I am buying anything else and it’s in a 3 for 2 offer.

It's shocking and absurd that she didn't realise the similarities not once, but twice. I do like Soph and she seems like a sweet girl. I've also had some great products from her reviews. But I do agree that she's vanilla and I can't wholly trust what she says, as she's so careful not to offend. I think the main things that make me cringe... Is her fairly recent dead straight eyebrows - which reallyyy does not compliment her round face shape (she looks a bit like Mr Potato head with those brows lol). Plus, she draws eyebrow hairs on from top to bottom, which is unnatural. She also has a line underneath them too, so her brows look a bit like a brush with it's bristles pointing up lol. She also pulls a very odd blow up doll style face when applying blush, which she often puts in her thumbnails. And lastly, the very ashy cool tone blonde and shadow roots coupled with an orange fake tan and warm make up - that isn't a good look. Pick either warm or cool tones, not both! She's lucky she can do both - but please pick one or the other lol. Sorryyy, I had to say it lol.

I agree. I don’t understand why she shaved off her eyebrows when they were really nice before. Normally when you are a kid and you just start doing makeup you just follow trends and don’t think about what suits you. But she’s now 24 and has been doing makeup for so long she should really know what suits her and what now instead of just blindly following trends.

I feel like she’s not really that talented at makeup at all, the same with most you tubers who are self taught, they can all do one style of makeup and that’s it. She’s a prime example of this aswell, I used to watch her when she first started and before the awful fake tan, and I agree her tan is awful and she needs to consider a lighter shade, I’m a natural red head so basically a walking milk bottle and whenever I can be bothered to tan I use light or medium, when your naturally really pale fake tan that dark doesn’t look right
