Yeah I got the costume…but she’s still going out to parties etc with big groups. Seems weird to smugly wear a costume like that when you’re doing the same thing as everyone else and also ignoring the elephant in the room.

I'm not particularly fatphobic. I liked Sofie's book. I read it because I've always been on the larger side. At the smaller end of plus size now. But I don't want to be an immobile, pasty, friendless human being who never leaves the house and whose only social interaction is getting their scabby belly out on social media. She's very fortunate to be able to make a living from that. She certainly isn't funny.

I've said this in a previous thread, so I'll try not to bang on about it too much, but it bothers me so much.

I really feel like she's projecting her anxieties onto her dog. Hank can't go out because Hank is apparently scared of everything and she doesn't want to overwhelm him. If he's truly afraid, he really NEEDS to get out and be desensitised through positive reinforcement training. The longer she puts it off, the worse it will get.

This is all assuming that Hank actually is a nervous dog - I feel like it's maybe more Sofie who doesn't want to leave her flat due to her anxiety disorder.

literally a quick google search tells me simply be (ok not exactly a small business) can ship next day if you order by 10pm - and I’m probably being really picky here but in general I don’t like it when people expect small businesses to operate to similar timescales as companies like Amazon or ASOS.

Maybe some small businesses are happy and able to do this, but it feels like the question box (intentional or not) invites businesses to compete based on how quickly and how heavily discounted they can work. It’s a general Insta influencer thing that really gives me the ick

there are people who are much worse than Sofie and build their careers off “sustainability” whilst doing this exact thing, but this isn’t a rave thread so I stand by being picky whilst Sofie is still pretending they’re this incredible intersectional activist

As a fat woman I would never even try to equate the issues I have with those of someone disabled, it’s just different. I do struggle sometimes with things like seating but I don’t see why the world should have to change for my size. If you’re disabled then accessibility should be a right, not a privilege

she eats so much junk on that day in the life, it must make her body feel like shit. 4 chocolate mousses for breakfast, takeaway for lunch, kfc , chocolate, mcdonalds meal.. human bodies are not meant to consume so much fat/sugar in a day, i get its individual choice but she's really setting herself up for health issues regardless of her weight - a skinny person who ate like this would be a concern

Watching that was nauseating, surely all that sugar will cause you to crash thus affecting mood/mental health? Oh no sorry everything she does/feels is all due to TRAUMA and she can't be questioned.

Ugh the self righteous ad stories.... First of all I thought she proclaimed to be anti-capitalist? But not anti consumerist evidently...

And also please can we stop referring to any form of social media as 'content'. She doesn't really produce anything on Instagram. Her content is her shows and podcasts, which people can and do pay for. It's very entitled of Sofie to say that everything they post is valuable and deserves compensation.

I've just caught up on the stories and that rubbed me totally the wrong way. The fact that she has tried to justify it and get all academic about the roots of the dialects. *(FYI I wouldn't expect them to do those things but after-all they were the one that mentioned remedying the situation...)
