Don't know if Sofie realises that tenants are liable for costs if the cost of the damages exceeds the deposit amount!

I know that not everyone is fond of landlords - but at the end of the day Sofie is damaging someone else's property which is a pretty shitty move. Especially when Sofie has mentioned that their landlord permitted Sofie to paint the walls and storied about how quickly the landlord replaced the oven with a brand new one after they moved in. It seems like Sofie's landlord has been responsive and flexible and now Sofie is well and truly taking the piss.

All this pontificating and agonising about what to post or not post can’t be good for her mental health.

I know it’s not always that straight forward but in some cases I genuinely believe not having much to do day to day can be really bad for anxiety, because you’re left with your own thoughts and have so much time to think everything over to the point it causes a bit of a spiral. I’m not saying everyone should be constantly non stop 24/7 because that’s also unhealthy, but having all the time in the world day to day without many distractions can cause anxiety to get worse. It’s a shame she doesn’t channel that nervous energy into going on a long walk with Hank or something.

That's just a small example.

She came out as non-binary and said that she wanted to encourage discussion, questions, etc. When her followers did actually send through questions to her, she posted their questions and tore them to shreds.

I used to love her; got her book and listened to her podcasts religiously. But she seems to bait her followers constantly by inviting them to share their opinions/questions/advice one minute and criticising any input the next.

She just strikes me as lonely and unhappy.

It's so weird that they would constantly go on about only leaving the house like THREE TIMES in the last year or something, and then get pissed off when someone assumes that means they haven't been walking their dog daily. If I say "I haven't been outside in three days" it literally means "I haven't been outside in three days". I cannot believe she's been walking Hank this whole time.

I don't think Sofie ever claims to be healthy, and if they're happy in the body they're in, that's fine. No one owes anyone else health. BUT... I think they should at least be able to maintain a level of fitness that means they can walk Hank and give him the life he deserves (or at least hire a dog walker!!!)

Agree with everything that's already been said. I think bullying in a FB group was why she suddenly left The Guilty Femenist too? I have had to stop listening to Bad People because some of the things she laughs at when discussing crime and things that happened to people turns my stomach.

I also don't know how or why she has 2 therapists. In a professional context I know that would generally not be encouraged and in a social context who can afford it?!

I was kind of amused to see Sofie moaning about engagement when they had been tagging brands outright asking for advent calendars only 24h beforehand. They tagged Libertys, Hotel Chocolat and a couple of others as. well I think.

God knows my eating patterns aren’t perfect, I stacked it on over Christmas and I can’t help but think there’s my own internalised fatphobia mixed in with my reactions to her day in the life videos, but honestly? there’s nothing like the depraved prospect of four choc mousses for breakfast and ordering a subway in for lunch to make me want to reach for fresh veg and go out in the fresh air

I try and consider if it is my fatphobia. Like I know I'm not fully on board with the whole thing, I think it is probably nicer to be able to stand? I think human bodies were designed to be able to stand? I don't know. Complicated, init.

But I *do* know that I am so bewildered by her audience who watch those day in the life videos and are like 'yes, this is amazing' and not 'oh god, I really like Sofie, I hope she's ok and/or got some fresh air today'.

He‘s her possession, not her pet. Hence all the projection onto him. She doesn’t need to do any of that normal dog owner stuff with him because he’s special, and she’s special.

I have two dogs, and always had them growing up and I have to say he looks utterly bored and miserable. When she posts him looking out of the window I feel genuinely upset, he deserves better. He deserves somebody who will put the time in to walk him at least once a day, preferably twice. Somebody who will take him to a dog park to socialise with other dogs.

He doesn’t give a shit about the fancy dog wallpaper she’s put behind his feed bowls, he wants to be able to behave like a dog, not a doll.

When she first got the dog she said he cried when he was sad. Like he was some sort of empath. I knew it was entropion. Three months later... he has surgery for entropion. She’s a moron.

I really used to quite like her but not so much now. I’ve also noticed more comments in the bad people podcast that feel jarring. I’d have to go back and listen to quote specifics but I know a few times I’ve felt very uncomfortable listening.
