Plenty of people did, and in response, Sofie uploaded a video of her walking Hank around the block and insisted that just because she doesn't constantly talk about walking Hank doesn't mean that he doesn't get walked...

deposit would be nearer £2000 at the very least, as it’s usually 6 weeks! Moving isn’t cheap either so I assume she has hundreds for moving too

I was holding off commenting because I don't necessarily dislike her. I find her MoH painfully serious and earnest (I hate to say woke because I like to think of myself as a nice liberal human but...she's an extreme) but she can be quite funny.

That said OH MY FUCKING GOD, IT'S A FUCKING DOG. I started rolling my eyes at the 'I want to call him Hank but his name in his soul is Xero' point. Then the eye drops, I've had a dog with entropion, they are not going to let you put eye drops in. Get the dog in a headlock and get the drops in. They don't care. They don't understand reason, get in, get it done, get out. Now we're panicking because the dog is hot? And walking around? Christ.

I'm not a very sentimental dog owner. I love my dog but also, very aware that he's a dog, his emotions are simple and a tired dog is a happy dog. It's not that deep, they're not that deep.

Does anyone have the tea on what caused her to leave The Guilty Feminist? I'm presuming that she had a falling out with Deborah Frances-White? I see that Sofie doesn't follow DFW on social media, although DFW follows Sofie.

I've been listening to the Guilty Feminist since it started, and when it was smaller they had an offical FB group that fans could post in. There was some kind of drama with fans accusing DFW of something relating to being a white feminist and then the group was locked so only DFW could post, I missed exactly what happened but Sofie seemed to leave very soon after

Doesn't she have a friend called JustineUpNorth or something that she always (used to? I can't recall her being mentioned recently) talk about being one of her closest friends? Couldn't she have asked her about this? I realise Sofie loves an excuse to ask people to reply to her so that she can tell them that they're wrong but this whole thing is so weird. Especially to then try and blame it on her trauma, just so odd.

YEP. I think I got that confused with Sofie not wanting “she/her” pronouns used, but then why would those pronouns be fine but not being called a girl or woman?

Last I recall Sofie said 'pronouns are whatever' but she doesn't want to be called a woman.

Now I don't actually consider myself non-binary but that does kind of make sense to me, I have never identified with being a 'woman' in the sense that I don't feel mature/feminine/curvaceous/motherly enough to fit that title - but idk if that's just semantics or actually says anything about gender identity. 'girl' I'm fine with, except that it's actually massively patronising now that I'm in my mid twenties. Language is annoying.

I don’t think they pay but she’s signed up to be an affiliate so if you click and then buy something, she gets a cut. I think the cookie follows you around for 30 days sometimes too. late (this thread moved fast ) but absolutely spot on. Why do they always think they have something unique to bring to the conversation about every single marginalised identity? it’s so fucking sanctimonious and boring

it’s totally obvious with a lot of the things they talk about that they’re just parroting phrases they’ve seen on someone’s insta infographic. They then try and repeat, it makes no sense and it’s clear they don’t actually have a clue what they’re talking about, they’re just want to seem intelligent and socially aware

is it just me or does it feel like this has kind of snowballed since they were called out re: disability and now they are trying to prove something?
