I just had a look at her stories, it made me sad.
she is absolutely depressing

Can someone explain to me how Sofie has managed to make a career for themself, please? I don't find them in the slightest bit funny or interesting and I can only assume that they're rather privileged and so have had many opportunities via that?

she was quite funny on the guilty feminist I thought, but I find her content from later just very repetitive. Her whole identity seems to be just focused on being fat, it is really not that interesting

No thank god! She didn’t publish my name thankfully. The frustrating thing was I was honestly just trying to nicely say that I thought maybe she was over reacting, but that if it felt wrong to her then I respected that. I honestly was not expecting her to react like that . I’ve definitely lost the last bit of respect I had for her. She’s being ridiculous.

I remember when Sofie was getting Hank and people were encouraging her to consider getting a cat instead she was all 'I am NOT a cat person I hate cats' etc etc... and then said she wanted a dog for therapy/personal growth reasons??

Pets are not an accessory for your emotional problems. Also cats are great companion animals and there's tons of evidence that petting a purring cat helps with anxiety and HBP and all sorts of things, plus they are SO much more independent than dogs for first time pet owners/ people with busy lifestyles. But noooo Sofie perceives cats as worse somehow so that's that.

She is so narcissistic and insecure that she knows she won’t be able to force that cat into loving her/she would probably spiral whenever the cat does something on its own accord.

I still think she will rehome Hank once the novelty wears off/she thinks people won’t notice.

I found this thread from Google Sofie and their dog to see how the dog is. I was blocked months ago by Sofie after pointing out the dog was clearly from a breeder. I naively had believed them when they initially said how much they wanted to adopt a dog responsibly.

Personally I love seeing people adopt rather than shop, but I would never weigh in on someones decision to buy a bred puppy unless my opinion was asked for. With Sofie I'd caught a live on Instagram where they were repeatedly was saying how important it was to them to adopt and be responsible, so I sent them some info about a rescue organisation that adopts to people that live in flats (they'd said they were struggling with that). They did not respond to that message.

A couple of days later I saw them talking about Hank - to my mind a very clearly bred puppy - and messaged again to say the owner was clearly a breeder.

I then got blocked and posted about aggressively.

I'm sad to hear Hank apparently isn't being cared for properly and that they are accepting financial help for his vet costs

In retrospect it seems I provoked some narcissistic rage in Sofie. I think they're troubled and toxic. Hope they and Hank get the help they need. Although from my knowledge of narcissists there's limited scope for change.

Off topic, but can you post a link to the rescue organisation you recommended for people in flats? Thank you

Would any of your fans even have seen this random tweet had you not plastered it all over IG??? "Here, followers, are all the details of something that happened that upset me! Here is the name of the person who did this to me. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED THAT YOU CONTACTED/GOOGLED THIS PERSON."

Also. *posts 10000 covert photos of dogs* "what do you think about taking covert photos of dogs?" "I think its bad" "I think its fine". Sofie "even if you think it's fine, you shouldn't do it." Hang on. What? Says the woman who just posted 10000 dog photos? Why not think about whether you agree with it before posting the photos. And if you do choose to post them, don't then tell people off who say they think it's okay to do?!!!!!

I'm on a roll here but this loser has annoyed me... you take your meds but neck FOUR CHOC MOUSSES for breakfast and have 2am McDonalds and wonder why you're depressed? Don't get me wrong you CANNOT cure depression with broccoli (lol) but can she not see that her terrible diet is making her sad too? Zero surprise she wants to lie on her sofa scrolling for hours at a time, considering the rushes and crashes her crazy meals are causing.

And no, this is not a fatphobic statement. People can be any weight with a diet like that. But tell you what pretty much anyone with a diet like that will be SAD and LISTLESS as fk

So true. My diet is a bit crap but at least try to get some normal food in. Too much chocolate, but takeaways almost never - know I'd feel sluggish. And ABSOLUTELY exercise. Nothing intense lately, but just MOVING and being active makes such a difference. Give that poor dog a few proper walks a day!!

Was aware of her from TGF podcast and some radio 4 comedy show she did, thought she was mildly funny. Then saw her name pop up on here so just checked out her IG. Wow. Makes for uncomfortable viewing and almost feels wrong to be watching, clearly someone who is not well and where an online presence like this only serves to feed that. The lengths she goes to to argue, self-justify, make everything else someone else's problem. How did she get so many followers?

on the merch thing... does anyone else think there's a link between plus sized/HAES influencers and a sort of... disregard for waste and overconsumption? Sofie has in the past replied to people suggesting she could be less wasteful/more environmentally friendly in her product usage with a big old 'fuck off'. we know she loves maximalism, new shiny products for her house and now, merch.

It's weirder when you consider that she brands herself as very left wing/ 'woke' (I hate that term as people use it to be negative, but I don't mean it in a negative way) - yet most people who are lefties are critical of capitalism and consumerism. She quite obviously isn't, and never speaks about:

• amazon being crap
• exploitation of factory workers
• single use plastics
• natural resources depleting
• importance of recycling
• importance of small, ethical businesses

Basically she never says anything to do with the massive problem of climate change and capitalism both fucking over the global south and us as westerners being constantly sold unsustainable crap by megacorps and buying into a materialist culture for shit we don't need... maybe this is a reach but is there a link between the philosophy of eating whatever you want and not feeling guilty, and buying whatever you want and not looking at the consequences?

I have no idea about that link, but def if anyone called her out she would cite some kind of mental health issue that excuses her from caring
