Hey I wondered if I could ask for some advice! Here’s everything I’m using right now and I need some new items. I’m basically clueless and learning as I go along but I’m trying to invest in looking after myself🙈 anything I’m missing or doing wrong will be great thank you

Nivea and Brazilian bum. I’m cream as body moisturiser before bed

Avene cleanser before bed to clean face but it’s about to run out so need a new one

Avene toner after cleanser but again running out

Miscellar water for make up remover

I was using Avene moisturiser but that’s ran out so feel I need a new moisturiser?

Super retinol eye cream before bed

Beauty pie highlighting primer I don’t know how to use this so haven’t yet

Ordinary vitamin c before bed currently in place of a moisturiser

Oxygen face mask one a week

Triple hyaluronic acid in the mornings

Super retinol hand cream before bed

Sheer tinted spf in the mornings

Eye pads once a week

Also shampoo… I’ve used the same shampoo for twelve years because it’s what my husband used (ex) so I know want ‘my own’ one but how do you know what’s right for you?

Also perfume… I went into boots and felt so overwhelmed and didn’t even know where to start on what to try so would you have any recommendations also for me to try?

Thank you, sorry if this all seems a bit silly
Not silly at all. I'm rubbish with skincare but others will be along to help.

As for hair stuff.. I have a great hairdresser who advises against the silicone products (pantene, tresemme etc) and recommends a brand called joico. Worth the extra expense. My hair has never been softer, bouncier and in such great condition. You don't need alot of it either so it's lasts ages.

Perfume wise I have a few everyday perfumes that aren't too expensive and something more pricey for Weekend/special occasions. I used next perfumes for everyday. I love justpink. Then Armani usually as more more pricey one.

I’ve notice my chin is quite dimply orange peel texture. What can I do to help this
Maybe using a chemical exfoliating mask would help smooth it all out?
There is a nice Boots own brand one I've been using few times that is nice, it yellow, it smells like banana sweets and it nice & cheap. Does the job.

I’m searching through this thread for the super spot cream that has been recommended. I put on a Garnier tissue mask a few days ago and my chin is erupting in red painful spots. Help….

Does anyone have advice for a skin care routine for dry sensitive skin?

I recently used cerave cleanser and it dries my skin out!

I get on well with the pixi rose toner but need a good moisturiser, cleaner and perhaps a serum/oil?. A good face SPF too that doesn't clog pores would be great.

Really struggling with my skin at the moment!
Which Cerave cleanser did you try? I used the SA one which I find much more drying that the moisturizing one (the green one). The most moisturizing cleanser I ever tried was the squalane cleanser from The Ordinary.

Looking for impartial advice on the 'best' treatment between the following facials. Really want something to complement the Botox I have on my crows feet.

I'm 39 and have dry skin, my skin probably ages me a bit (likely due to extreme stress in my late 20s)

All these are provided by my beauty therapist.
Chemical Peel
Fractional RF
Carbon Laser
Microneedling

My aesthetic nurse also offers
PCA No Peel Peel
Nappage Mesotherapy
Filmed Skin Bright Peel.

It all just blows my mind and clearly they make their treatments sound amazing!!

I’ve been using Elemis moisturiser and cleanser I got in my advent calendar. I’m just a few days my skin looks goo, so fresh. Is there a dupe as it’s so bloomin expensive otherwise
My mother in law gets me Elemis every Christmas and birthday. She gets sets from QVC that are good value so worth checking there

So this thread #influenced me to by the Ordinary ascorbyl tetra-whatsit - love it but the smell is so bad?? It’s really chemically!

I also bought the Avene moisturiser with SPF 30 at the weekend as my usual stuff was out of stock in Boots and really liking it so far! I haven’t tried it under make up yet but I think it will be ok. If anyone else is combination/oily it’s a good one, a little pricey though I would say.

Ladies! I need help, my skin has gone from super dry to an oily mess since I came off the pill. I've no idea what to use for this skin type after 10yeara for catering to dry skin. I can't even wear makeup for more than a couple of hours without it feeling like it's sliding off my face 😭

Thanks. I’ve just ordered The Ordinary azelaic acid. Do you use it every day? Where abouts in your routine do you apply it?
Do you use the Dr jart everyday as well?

What product should I not put on my skin before or after I’ve been in the sun? I get confused between the should and shouldn’t 😜

Anyone else had a nightmare with Sephora customer service?? Sorry if this isn’t the best thread for this but I need a serious rant.

I was due a package early last week and it didn’t come. When I tracked it with Evri it said sorry we damaged your parcel beyond repair please contact your retailer. (Absolutely believe the courier stole my parcel). I have spent ALL last week and yesterday and today trying to get through to Sephora.

Live Chat kicks you out and you have to start the process again multiple times. Finally managed to get through to someone and they asked for my order number so I flicked back to my emails, came back and I’d been booted from the chat 😩. I got an email saying sorry we got disconnected please reply to this email and we’ll help. I’ve emailed that address back three times and no response!

Just tried live chat again and was waiting 30 mins and barely moving in the queue so I’ve had to bail on it. They’re only open 9-5 when we’re all working so I can’t really sit on live chat waiting for 30+ mins as I’m working.

So bloody fed up!!

Can anyone recommend products for textured skin? I saw online that Effaclar Duo by La Roche Posay is great so I’ve ordered that but I’m not sure if I need a retinol or not? 🩷

I need some advice on skincare please! I constantly get little sebaceous filaments on my nose and chin. I also have combination skin. I’m just so lost on where to start. I want to find a good skin care routine that really works for me.
Currently I use a moisturiser with spf with spf over the top in the morning, in the evening I use a cleanser and toner. I have used AHAs to help with the nose and chin situation but I feel like my skin just looks tired and dull. I’m approaching 30 so I want to maintain youthful looking skin as long as possible while ageing gracefully. Please give me advice for all the products or possible help 😮💨😮💨😮💨
You’d be best booking in for a facial or skin mapping (dermalogica). They will recommend what you need. you wouldn't have to buy the exact products but it would give you an idea
