What a strange, clunky PR pantomime that interview was.

FWIW I don’t believe her one jot. She’s radicalised with easy access to other radicalised people and networks, you don’t just deprogramme yourself overnight. Only nobheads think otherwise. BUT that said, she is a a UK problem. Can you imagine if other countries refuse to accept our criminal deportees that we want to “send home”? I remember all to very well the small amount of refugees we were going to take they were all going to be children except...……….

The problem with your post is that it isn't really logical. You say "look after your own" you how you *prefer* to do that but without leaping to a race card it seems that only extends to white people because this girl was a UK citizen so how is it not looking after our own for her to have British justice?

"Send them back" is just hilarious, this is being said about British people who were born in the UK. It doesn't work and it is inherently racist. Is a UK citizen with German parents ever sent back to Germany? Of course not.

People don't like to hear it but this girl was BORN in the UK and just because you don't like what she has done doesn't make her any less British than you.

Where do you think the costs involved with providing housing, benefits, security services monitoring, rehabilitation, etc, etc comes from? On Good Morning Britain this morning she was terrible. I can't believe they actually gave her as much air time as they did. She spent a lot of time fiddling with her hair, flashing her nails etc rather than trying to answer questions properly. All of her answers felt half-arsed, gave very little detail and most importantly, signified very little remorse for her actions. I get the impression she feels a victim in all of this. When asked about all three of her deceased children she was able to speak without even a quiver in her voice - not what you'd expect from a Mother who has lost all her children. She was so matter of fact about their deaths, it felt like she had no genuine sadness for their passing.

She didn’t come across very well at all. To me, she’s acting. Badly. I just don’t believe her when she says she’s sorry.

Anyone that thinks the government should be able to remove a person's citizen and not give them the ability to appeal (including the legal aid to do so) needs to give their head a wobble.
It starts with people like Shamima Begum, an unlikeable easy target, and could end up being any one of us.

Watched the BBC interview and the first 7 parts of the podcast.

She's certainly holding back a lot and has been shown to tell quite a few lies. Almost certainly is not being honest with what she was up to for all those years.

She probably should be brought back but there's lots of things that should happen in this world. She probably will be eventually, and I'm sure that'll suit the torys if it's delayed until labour are in power. There seems to be limited unverified reports of her at a training camp. Must be hard to have the evidence to prove either way. There's no doubt been people far more dangerous let into the UK.

She must genuinely want to come back or else she would have left the semi-secure camp. Although she seems to only want to be held to account of joining Isis and then being a stay at home wife.

My overwhelming feeling is so much time and energy is spent on one high profile person. Could be better spent elsewhere.

I watched the GMB interview and was left with some questions and thoughts;
-She referred to her husband in the present tense. Are they still married/together?
-She mentioned the women who she was terrified by. Who are these women?
-She was expressionless when mentioning her three dead babies.
-there was part of the interview where she was almost smirking.
-if she’s so scared of these women, why would she remove the hijab and wear a vest? Surely this goes against their cultural values.
-where did she get her nails done?

I just watched a clip, she doesn't even hide the sneer on her face when speaking about the British public. I don't believe her and I don't think she's sorry.

Just seen one on the news of her saying about the UKs problem with terrorism and how “you clearly don’t know what you’re doing”

She doesn’t come across well at all, her tone, entitlement, self pity… She’s saying she wants to help ‘us’ but who said we want/need her help? I don’t think she should be allowed back and I think she’s a huge risk.

I think a lot of it has been classified due to security issues but I’ve read she helped women prepare for suicide attacks by sewing their vests and helping the women put them on.
In the videos she just seems without any emotion. No emotion for what she’s done, the friends she’s lost, her children who have died. She’s just…blank. It’s really creepy.

Find it worrying how there is so much support for her on Twitter. I don’t trust anyone coming back from Isis, I can’t see how you can change your beliefs so vastly and become a productive member of society here.

She is now effectively a citizen of Bangladesh. And Bangladesh is effectively in breach of international law by refusing her. It is surely the perfect solution. She gets to live in a majority Muslim country which is her dearest wish. And no need to be squeamish about the potential death sentence for terrorism as

a. She has told us several times she wasn’t a terrorist, just a housewife, and
b. Once again Sharia Law is her fondest wish.

I believe she should return and be kept under scrutiny permanently (perhaps.similar to house arrest?). I have personal reason to hate Islamist extremism and truth be told people would expect me to be part of the "let her rot" camp if they knew my circumstances.

Maybe because I’m younger that I feel differently to a lot of you all; she was groomed and abused at 14-15. She was a child. Stolckholm Syndrome is a real condition, as well as psychological damage through abuse and grooming.

She should be return to the U.K. and rehabilitated, like other white IS fighters (Jihadi Jack). Stripping her citizenship without any legal backing creates an awful precedent for the future.

Her case has just been denied and will not be allowed to return to the UK to face justice.

I'm a bit surprised to be honest, I thought she'd be back with a lot of restrictions.

Delighted! I don't live in the UK but have been following her case with my jaw on the floor, the fucking nerve to beg and plea to return to the country after all the unspeakable things she found no trouble being a part of was astonishing. Too bad if she thinks the consequences don't suit her liking.

I think Shamima also forgets the shit she put her classmates through. The whole year group were watched by police for over a year. Lots of anti-terrorism questioning. More lesson observations by people who weren't teachers. R.E was very very heavily watched. It felt like every innocent classmate was under suspicion too.

P.S knowing that if she returned would potentially return to my area makes me sick.
