If Amanda Holden thought she could slag off Sharon Osborne without any repercussions, she’s incredibly naive

I saw this earlier.....I just can't feel sorry for these fucking imbeciles. It's like people who go off on a holiday and come back with a 22 year old waiter, you can't honestly think he's fallen in love with you surely?????

BOLLOCKS. I genuinely cannot imagine having a 17 year old crack onto me and thinking 'aye this is a great idea let's go with it'. She's full of shit.
I had a really horrible, very senior colleague years ago, when I was in my mid 20s. She was mid 50s and an utter WITCH. Used to be so nasty to the younger women in our department - picked on them, bitchy gossip etc.

She also had a degree and the usual life experience - married and divorced, adult kids etc. Wasn’t vulnerable or naive.

Went to Egypt on holiday, met a waiter who was in his 20s and MARRIED him that same holiday! Came in to work flashing the diamond ring he gave her….

Anyway…surprise surprise it turned out very quickly that he didn’t really love her and was just after a way to get into the U.K. And that diamond? Not a diamond. Who could ever have foreseen that?

Her tedious, indignant ranting went on for ages. What bastards men are, how could he do this, how badly he took advantage, issues of trying to sort out a divorce etc etc.

I never heard anyone say it but I’m sure we were all thinking it - how the fuck did she not anticipate it was all nonsense?

I am her age now. There is no way I would think a man 30 yrs younger than myself was genuinely interested or it was all just crazy, romantic love. Would think the same even if the genders were reversed too.
I don’t imagine I’d be actually attracted to them either. It’d be so weird. Like, just no?

Just been watching Saturday Night Takeaway and Take That are on.

Mark Owen has had a bit of a glowup. The last time I saw him he looked like Catweazle but he’s looking great now

Mandy Smith. Absolutely gorgeous looking girl. But a girl she was. 13 years old when she met BW. Wrong. So wrong. What kind of parents let their 13 year old child near a 40 year old rock star. The papers used to be full of these so called ‘wild childs’ .

Let’s call it what it was : GROOMING.
In Mandy's book "It's All Over Now", she talks about how after Bill took her virginity at the age of 14 (first having taken her to bed at 13), he said to her "You naughty girl"...

He really messed her up.

As I said before, Beyonce is the Stephen Gerrard of music. Actually pretty good, but also massively overrated.

I don't think Sharon Osbourne or Amanda Holden are much to write home about. Sharon might have been a success but I suspect much was due to her father at the beginning and it's well documented that Ozzy treated her like shit in the early years. If the TV show hadn't come along they wouldn't be anything like as famous and we would have been saved Kelly Osbourne. Sharon comes across as a nasty piece of work.
Amanda on the other hand is bone-shakingly ambitious 'me' girl. If both of them never appeared on TV ever again I'd be pretty chuffed.

A decent rule of thumb I like to live by, and which hasn’t yet let me down, is “don’t marry anyone within a couple of days of meeting them …. unless they’re extremely wealthy with fully audited documentation, have a medically certified limited life expectancy and you’re in possession of legally binding confirmation you’re the majority benefactor of their estate”

However, if I were ever to fall foul of the holiday romance scam I might be able to get through the divorce before anyone even found out - I actively avoid small talk about my holidays when I get back so I certainly wouldn’t be broadcasting the news that I married a stranger half my age. I simply could not cope with the level of questioning that would be generated by that sort of announcement!

Tilly Ramsey had her own CBBC show when she was around 11/12. Tilly and the Ramsey Bunch or similar. Helps when your daddy has his own production company.

I also really liked Miranda. I don’t think anyone ever tried to sell her as a great beauty. That was the thing, she spoke to the slightly nuts, clumsy, plain girls and we loved it. It was just silly fun (such fun) really.

This has cracked me up: you’re inventing a whole new identity for yourself, you can choose any name you like … and you opt for ‘Dave’ 🤣
When I read it, I couldn't help but think of Only Fools And Horses ...

If it's a girl they're going to name it Sigourney, after an actress. And if it's a boy, they're going to name him Rodney. After Dave.

Reading about the BBC cutting so many programmes I’m genuinely baffled why Mrs Browns Boys is still going? I’ve never seen anyone say they love it be that in person or online, even anonymously. What is the reason it’s still on the TV?
Brendan O'Carroll has got to have some dirt on somebody high up the ladder. There can’t be any other reason it keeps getting recommissioned!

I saw a video on YouTube of Jennifer Hudson on the voice featuring her singing. My goodness she puts Beyonce's efforts to shame. She comes across really classy too.

A friend works in a school in a very affluent area. There are far more non binary/trans kids than at the other schools she’s worked at. Not that there are more NB or trans kids but they have generally a greater ability and agency to assert their identity. When your family is using a food bank, or your parents are using substances, there may be fewer chances for you to raise the issue of your identity and it being taken seriously and compassionately.
A celeb’s kid - esp in the acting world - is going to be surrounded by diverse people who have that understanding and freedom. Not to mention the cash to have that freedom of choice when it comes to your future vs trying to fit in a box to have employment prosepects etc

I think Caroline Flack was always a very troubled woman, whose behaviour and lifestyle contributed to her death. I hate the fact that otherwise troubled and problematic famous folks tend to be considered saints after their unfortunate and sometimes early demise and everybody but the person themselves is held responsible for their actions, I feel sorry for her family and loved ones but feel that demonising the police and legal services for just doing their jobs is wrong.
The Channel 4 documentary that came out involving her family and friends made complete sense to me. Even her twin sister said at the beginning that she always dreaded this being Caroline's fate even from a young age. The stories of her running off with someone who worked on the fairs, it was all very dramatic. Caroline was a flawed human like a lot of us, but it boils my blood when Fiat 500 twitter spout "Be Kind' like that was the only problem Caroline had. It really mininalises her real mental health struggles and whitewashes it all as though she killed herself because a few people said nasty things. She was a much more complex being than that, as her family and REAL friends will know all too well.

Gross pair. Both need putting in an antiseptic bath they look so grubby. So crude & unnecessary. (Self identify as a prude).
Baddiel and Skinner are/were gross. Making a big deal about watching porn when they shared a flat and both masturbating together. And the obsession with anal sex. Baddiel told a story about someone knocking at the door and he answered it with his trousers down saying 'sorry I've just had a wank'.
They've both pivoted now to being 'intellectuals' 🙄

I loved Miranda (and still do). Usually rewatch it every year or so.

Can't stand Mrs Brown's Boys though.
I loved Miranda- think a lot of us could relate to the character on the show in some way. Shame Tom Ellis turned out to be such a twat in real life
