JLo featured in Janet Jackson’s video‘that’s the way love goes’. Saw it on TOTP last year and clocked her.

I believe JLo smokes, that might be why she’s aging now. A strict diet and smoking will do that to you in your 50s. I think it’s funny how she’s doesn’t really sing on her records.

taco flavoured kisses anyone?

Let's not forget that J-Lo was with P-Piddly for several years, I think they were involved in a shooting at one point? She will probably have been privy to his predilections and turned a blind eye and I wouldn't be surprised if she was on Epstein's list. (This is my opinion, not stating it as fact).

If having a fat arse can make you a megastar, I should be a shoo in for next year's Forbes list.

was anyone else massively let down by the new drama “This Town”? I was sooo looking forward to it as I loved ska back in the day but I turned off because of the awful acting and tragically piss poor accents.
I'm the same as you, I was so excited about it, watched the first episode and gave up; I thought it was like watching a bad GCSE drama production, and it also came across as being extremely pretentious.

I enjoyed that dance film JLo did with Richard Gere. It was silly but good fun.

I read somewhere that she has a personal security guard who sings loudly outside the loo when she's in there, so no-one hears her farts.

I liked J-Lo in 'Monster in Law' with Jane Fonda. Great film. Yes, her acting is a bit ropey in parts but it's still a good movie.

I enjoyed Shotgun Wedding recently- though all she had to do was play JLo, so it wasn't exactly a stretch for her.

Have to agree tbh. I’m not particularly a fan of Jlo nor do I agree with much of what she said in that article, but it’s kind of refreshing to hear a celeb’s actual thoughts rather then the boring anodyne shit that’s filtered through a publicist that we get from them these days. Also Jlo and her ‘music’ is responsible for one the greatest diva feuds of all time.

Old enough to remember her from her magazine article slating others era. I think the one thing I do like about her is her ability to ride the wave on whatever opportunities she was given and clawed for herself with the little talent she had. Her best movie role to date was Out of Sight with Clooney. That was mostly down to the chemistry they shared. Since then she has stuck to romcoms and the odd drama and you kinda know what you’re going to get from one of her movies. Her attempt at Oscar glory was foiled when she was largely ignored for her role in Hustlers.

She is a mediocre actress at best, her voice is shrill and nasally. It’s well known that most her famous hits are sung by others (Ashanti ) or at least their vocals have been mixed and claimed as hers. You can’t fault her dedication to making sure she rose to the top by hook or crook.

What worked for her then won’t work now because although she looks amazing for her age, she just isn’t what the younger generation are looking for in terms of a performer. She is competing with young women barely out of their teens. You can look good for your age, and nip and tuck as much as you like. Doesn’t change the fact you still have the whiff of pensioner about you (see also Madonna)

I watched her album movie thingy this week, and I have to say I really admire JLo for her complete lack of self awareness. She’s her own main character and thinks that everyone else sees her that way. As a person with TOO MUCH self awareness, I like that

The movie was definitely…something, though.

She was great in El Cantante, she also had no connections at all and clawed herself up from dancing in music videos, quite a feat.

Love those levels of divaness.

I actually really like the film The Cell. She goes inside the mind of a serial killer literally

I’ve never seen it but I’ve noticed it is better thought of now than when it came out.

She’s great in Hustlers and Out of Sight. With the right part she’s good.

Think it majorly flopped when it came out. Without sounding all wanky and pretentious visually it's a stunning film

I completely agree.
I was blown away by the visuals when I first saw it and still have been whenever I have rewatched it.
It's gorgeous to watch.
