I liked how she took Nikki Grahame under her wing and I remember her talking on CBB about being alone, she said she was in the kitchen one morning and noticed a fox in the garden, and she turned to tell her partner there is a fox! but realised there was no one there, she was alone.Oh no - I bloomin’ love Vanessa. I think it was eventually released after she passed and while it wasn't great, it wasn't the fiasco he claimed it would be.i watched a documentary about her some time ago and i was so bloody pissed because when her brother (forgot the name) had painkillers issues, they let him take a break, but when she needed time for herself, to fix her eating disorder and personal life hell ... "no, you can't, contractual obligations, tv shows blah blah." also i think they didn't see her being thin as a willow as a problem.

I’ve had 2 encounters with her where she was quite unpleasant to meMy friend worked for her briefly and had to tell her about a massive fuck up friend had made. She was really dreading it, as VF obviously has a reputation*. Readers she was lovely and they figured out how to resolve the situation, no drama at all, just very supportive and pragmatic
* am sure the 'hate' she gets is because she has the cheek to not hide her intelligence whilst also ageing, and not being a snivelling shrieking violet..
