Your mum sounds hilarious ( if exhausting!) I'm not saying your mum would do this, but that s why I always take 'x was really awful' with a pinch of salt. A lot of the time its more 'x was really rude to me when I went up to him when he was in the toilet and asked for a selfie' or' 'Y told me to fuck off when I interrupted their child's birthday party at a restaurant and asked them for an autograph'!

Exhausting doesn't begin to cover it! She says ludicrous things all the time.

Oh god. I raised Hugh Grant again with my mum. Big mistake. She now says that he was shirty before the lost luggage. He was scruffy (which isn't allowed if people are flying first class according to my mum) and really stroppy.

I asked how she could tell he was stroppy and it was because he didn't make eye contact. I pointed out that he may have been tired, unwell, or simply didn't want 500 people running over asking for autographs, but no, he could only afford first class travel because people paid to see his films, so he should be nice to people 24/7.

In other news, Ben Kingsley is a nice man. My dad even went over to say hello, (which is a massive shock and not like my dad at all) and as they waited for their luggage, Ben Kingsley said "This is the worse part isn't it?"

That makes him a very nice man.

After watching the documentary on Caroline Flack I do feel that she was badly let down by ITV.

It's hard to be sympathetic because the family were breaking rules constantly throughout the pandemic and it was only when they got the virus that they started to publicly say the virus was real (you think?!?) and go public telling people to be careful and follow the rules (thanks, some of us have done that for an entire year). The incidents you are referring to occurred 10 years ago, and involved saying bad words while very drunk. They have both apologised.

I've been 'very drunk' in my lifetime and have never felt compelled to make racist comments, mainly because I'm not a racist. You can tell a lot about a person by who they choose to surround themselves with and the fact that she is friends with 2 racists gives me an indication of her morality and values.

I really like Kate Garraway. I think she is one of the genuine ones. She doesn’t strike me as the publicity seeking type . I think her only motivation for doing this documentary was to educate people about long covid or anyone living with someone who has a life altering condition .
Yes there were some Intensely private moments documented but that is her reality and others . I’m sure she discussed it with both her family and his before doing the documentary. Just because they are private and dont go on social media , it doesn’t mean they didn’t agree to it .

This week has been tough with it being the first anniversary of lockdown and all that entails. I just feel very jealous but I do honestly wish Derek and Kate the best. I hope he can come out of this with some sense of normalcy.
