I mean the Cronulla riots happened where they happened for a reasonNo shade whatsoever to anyone who lives in/by or loves Cronulla, but any time I’ve been there I have been overwhelmed by the number of bogans, and Sezzahhhhh (the fact she calls herself numerous variations on this is boganic in itself, IMO) definitely fits that mold.
Is it fair to say it’s a ‘cashed up bogan’ type of culture there too? Lol either that or I’ve just had weird experiences when I’m there.
I’ve thought maybe her very prominent jaw muscle in her selfies of late suggest that maybe she does, I don’t want to speculate too much on the specifics though because that is such a delicate subject, I just want her to stop selling her disordered eating as a lifestyle.TW ED talk
Also I had such a weird thought when I was getting ready for bed last night. Do you think Sarah purges? I didn’t do this often during my ED, but was familiar enough with it to know that purging liquids by mouth is somewhat ‘easier’ than solid foods. I just had a random thought that this could be connected to her weird watery smoothie obsession?
I do have to say that I have zero proof for this, she doesn’t show all the telltale signs, I’m merely musing. But she does regularly complain of a puffy face (side effect), poor digestion (happens both with purging and restricting, the body gets used to not digesting foods), and it would be convenient with her veneers (can still be damaged but not as much as real enamel would). My past therapist did once tell me that overexercising to compensate can be considered a form of purging of sorts (it’s another means of ridding the body of energy so that it cannot store it as fat), and we already know she does this. So it may or may not be a stretch.
Again, not suggesting, just thinking out loud
Without being too specific because I feel weird talking about someone's specific address LMAO, as far as we're made aware, her parents still live in the family house which is on the other side of the royal national park. It takes longer than it looks as you have to loop around because of the bay area and the vast national park you have to bypass. If you follow the train line its the equivalent of being like 7-8 suburbs over from present Cronulla. It's possible its an area [Cronulla] the family frequented a lot as young kids or growing up, as I do something similar saying I'm from a certain town/city but I still live like 5 suburbs over? Sarah also tries to paint this Pure image of being a Cronulla babe so she milks living there for all it's worth. Can someone clear up for me, I thought Sarah was bORn and rAIseD in CrONulLA, but I swear she said semi recently, how its a 40 minute drive for her mum to come to her? And her parents live still live in the house she was raised in, so where (that's also in Cronulla) would be 40 minutes away from her? (Or am I missing something?)
I think you might have misunderstood here.I think its weird people are saying Sarah is some super regressive sexist on traditional gender roles who bows to her husband and just breeds. She's the main breadwinner and bought their million dollar homes, kurt is basically her employee and often this site claims he does more of the parenting LOL. Literally how much do women have to "do it all" so they don't get told they're not amounting to anything other than breeding children as if choosing to be "just" a mother is somehow a betrayal to our gender. Guess we better throw away the pots and pans lest we be considered as perpetuating sexism because of course being proud of traditionally feminine things is horrible
Literally no one said that. I think one person said something along those lines but you’ve unfortunately misinterpreted it. If you’ve read these discussions properly then you’d know we frequently discuss how Sarah does wear the pants, earns the $$ and Kurt is Fox’s main care giver and a complete cuck when it comes to Sezz, she constantly degrades him and he does whatever she says.I think its weird people are saying Sarah is some super regressive sexist on traditional gender roles who bows to her husband and just breeds. Yep it’s the performative Christian mummy blogger persona she is using to appeal to that audience whilst Kurt is actually in more of the home maker roleLiterally no one said that. I think one person said something along those lines but you’ve severely misinterpreted it. If you’ve read on this thread for more than 1 day then you’d know we frequently discuss how Sarah does wear the pants, earns the $$ and Kurt is Fox’s main care giver and a complete cuck when it comes to Sezz, she constantly degrades him and he does whatever she says.
It’s the whole Christian mummy blogger persona she had suddenly tried to push on her socials, in addition to how she always says she’s a domestic goddess when she clearly isn’t, is what is being discussed.
She constantly refers to herself as a domestic goddess, says "wife me" / "wife material" and says she's doing "wife duties". I 100% agree with you that there is so much pressure on women to "do it all", however I don't think this is that previous posts were referring to. Once again, like many posts here context is so so important, so if you haven't seen all Sarah's posts about being "wife material" ect, that we're referring to, I see how it could be misunderstood. I am so impressed with all the work she does, and if she didn't back pedal with all the "wife me" comments, I wouldn't have an issue, but I think you can still agree she is business savy, and disagree with her "wife me" comments.I dont think she overwhelmingly paints herself as a housewife when shes constantly calling herself a boss babe and complaining about finding balance/always working even though her work life is much more family friendly than other peoples
I agree with you. Kind of responding to both you and the poster before but one of the main things that makes me so sad/frustrated for Sarah is that she doesn't have a traditionally domestic or maternal bone in her body (from what we can see. Or at least, significantly less so than she tries to showcase) and bends over (cashew) backward to convince herself she's not only that way but the MOST domestic. I think she'd be much happier owning her entrepreneurial spirit, her power in her relationship, and her comfort in life, and within that deciding for herself what "domestic" or "maternal" means to her. I just get the sense that her strict definitions of these terms limit her. I think it's less"women wanting to be homemakers is bad" but more "sarah has a freaking cooking app and still OBVIOUSLY doesn't want to be in the kitchen." She's playing herself. Sarah is the number one victim of sexism in her life, and because she films every second of it, there's a chance that an impressionable audience might take on stances that don't even make Sarah happyI think you might have misunderstood here.
Sarah playing and constantly framing her life existence as the domestician, when she actually could be platforming a far more balanced picture of female participation in the labour force, is precisely why she comes across as regressive.
I and other members could elaborate far more on this if you’re interested in a constructive conversation? But I err to write more here, based on how adversarial your previous post appeared, but maybe that’s not the tone you intended
Every city or town has there stereotypes and I think it’s just certain nuanced things that locals find annoying/notice.HAHA this cronulla talk is so funny. my brother moved to cronulla in 2019 for work (from wellington, new zealand). pre-pandemic, my mum and i travelled there to visit him, and had such a good experience! everyone was so friendly and kept saying hi to us, maybe because we were tourists? must have just been lucky when we went, thankfully no cowards were around
