I’m so sorry ( not ) that men feel upset at women discussing their assaults by men. No ones saying ALL men do this. That’s ridiculous. But if they don’t speak up and challenge grape culture amongst their friends and colleagues they are complicit.

The whole reaction to this horrific incident just shows we have a very long way to go in order to even start tackling this issue.
Basically she is saying "let's not upset men's egos"
I dunno, I wouldn’t want to start shooting down men that do appreciate our points of view and are aware of how they can come across to women so adapt their behaviour in a positive way. I struggle to articulate what I mean sometimes but I think it’s good that men will talk about this and the ones that are trying to learn shouldn’t be slapped down, it should be the start of more conversations.
Davina needs to put twitter away. I think she is trying to be "cool" by tweeting this stuff.

I just can't believe this has happened and we are still having to explain to, quite frankly idiots, about what is meant.
OBVIOUSLY everyone knows that not all men are to blame here. Not all men are rapists but all rapists are men. What about the mental health of women who are bleeping terrified about this case because it rings home and is oh so familiar? I'm so fed up of the whole men bashing topic to be honest. Yes all men might not murder but I would put serious money on that MOST men have made inappropriate jokes towards women, have probably seen their friend doing something dodgy, have perhaps felt that sometimes their actions have overstepped the line? When are they going to start talking up about this?

'I wouldn't walk home in the dark' is showing her privilige. Most women don't do it through choice (although I'm one of those weirdos that does). There's a real whiff of victim blaming there. And she can't understand that a lot of the time we do have to view all (yes I said ALL) men as a danger in order to keep ourselves safe. Is it fair? Who effing cares? Safety should come first.
I saw one one of the websleuths threads that the woodland area they are searching, people were known to leave dead sheep there?! perhaps discovered bones that need to be identified as animal/human.

It’s okay, it shouldn’t have happened but it did sadly. I now work in retail with a team who are proactive in calling out customers who make inappropriate remarks/do inappropriate things towards female staff. I work in a town that’s rife with crime, homelessness & addiction, it’s really sad. I have had a customer literally throw things at me and say some really nasty inappropriate things. Was swiftly reported to the police & he was given a ban from the town centre. My management team are both male & backed me fully. They’re brilliant compared to the NHS.
Makes me so angry. What a bleeping victim blaming idiot. How do nurses get to work? How do carers get to work? How do lawyers working long hours get to work? How do female police officers working shifts get to work? She can get to duck. Not everyone has a chauffer and if we catch a taxi, we'll be broke and might still be grape or assaulted. What an absolute tit bag she is.
