The Coven is a total joke and I’m sure she aspires to be as much of a scammer as Sarah
And that's why it's so important Sarah Akwisombe is made an example of. These scammers won't not scam because they suddenly grow a conscience and a set of values - they'll only stop or not start if they are afraid of being called out and their shady dealings made public like hers have been.

I don’t believe that she’s got 150 people to sign up for that to be fair, half the people in the coven are side hustlers and just starting out

Same, thankfully my accountant asked no questions!

🙋🏻‍♀️ fellow coven girl here, and former 1:1 coachee of sapphire’s. That experience was horrendous, she has no coach training and basically tells you to do what she would do and if you do it differently she shames you. I was going through a lot at the time and thankfully had other support that made me realise how inappropriate she was and didn’t finish the sessions

The coven league table last week and cliquey class of 2022 is gross, I think it will kill what’s left of the flailing coven group. It’s defo got Sarah vibes right now, like how is a stationary pack and calendar going to help you succeed in biz?! It’s just to get people to take pics for the gram and make sapphire look popular

It’s all more than a bit cringe
I was a member of The Coven back in 2019.

Life got in the way pre-Covid and I had to take a break from my business. I was thinking of starting up again in the new year and rejoining.

You describe it as ‘flailing.’ Can I ask why and what support system you use instead?

Found and flourish is around the same price with more consistent and useful/relevant content and events created by real experts who are also other members. There are real opportunities to connect and grow relationships to share your work and who you are, the FB community is very supportive too

The Coven feels a bit like a popularity contest at the moment, the group isn’t as active as it was. Events aren’t consistently promoted so a lot of people miss out (even basic things like Co working) the focus seems to be on class of 2022. Just like Sarah, she’s chasing the money and ego boost.

I’m in another higher cost group coaching program too, where the founder is very hands on and knows us all and our biz. She’s extremely knowledgeable, TRAINED! supportive and helps everyone achieve in their own way. No cookie cutter stuff like Sarah and Saph who basically say “do what I do” which is inappropriate and damaging on so many levels.

if that number is true 150 people is far too many for the intimate “experience” she’s been banging on about and she’ll end up like Sarah sadly. Which is a shame as I like Saph but she’s not thought this through

Thanks so much for your thoughts I makes me feel less alone with all this. I hate seeing Sapphire Bates showing up talking about the class of 2022 'experience'. And you're totally right how is 150 people an intimate experience?? Do you think she is setting this up because the Coven business is failing? If it is, it begs to question why should people be taking business advice off her?? I mean what happened to her PJ business she spent ages going on about? Or the physical co-working space she banged on about? Is she clutching at straws?? 100% Marmite Crumpet - where are the coaching / teaching qualifications to lead a whole year program??

Saphhire and Sarah used to be friends / then not friends / then friends again… there is a NBBS podcast episode of them discussing it. I recall at the time of the Smashing it meltdown and the terrible twins exposé that Sapphire was vocal about how tit Sarah had been scamming so many female businesses - particularly her friend Panic the Mother. That's why it's even weirder that Sapphire now seems to be following the same car crash. I wish we could say something to stop another fall out for female businesses as they are led blindly into another con. Have we learnt nothing after the Sarah saga??

I'd love to understand the psychology of what happens to make someone go from "doing quite nicely, running a decent business that my clients love" to "I just want all the money, and rinse my clients, and I don't care how I'll service them" as Sarah Akwisombe put it on that I'll fated video that's out there forever.

Do they lose all ethics, morals and decency, are sycophants and enablers part of the mix, or was it always there?

Like @NoExit says, it would be so much better if we don't see another wave of female businesses being scammed like Sarah did which is why jts important this narrative is kept going - warning both potential clients to do their due diligence and potential scammers to see what can happen to their business/life/reputation if they try the same tricks as Sarah.

I've been away from all this for a while but just came to ask about Sapphire. I thought she was against the mlm hun thing and scamming? Now she appears to be doing the exact same thing?
Maybe she's convinced herself what she is doing is genuine and what Sarah did was a con? Or maybe she's decided she wants a slice of the bullshit con pie. I dunno how they can be so brazen.
I could set up one of these 'classes'. I have the same amount of business acumen.

"Loved" Sarah's little "let's mourn past Sarah for a sec, and then never speak of her again"-bit. That's literally like opening up to an abusive parent, trying to have a healing conversation in a very vulnerable state, only to have them go "yeah, I fucked up a bit, but you have to put that behind you now". It's dismissive, it doesn't take accountability for the tit you pulled, and you're more or less blaming the victim for being heartbroken in the aftermath, while also quite plainly stating that you have zero respect for them as a human being and you don't give a tit about what you did.

Sarah, it's still not enough. You're pussyfooting around the real issue: you rinsed people in vulnerable positions because you wanted that million. And nothing was going to stand in your way. You want to be a business owner, but you also want to not have to do the work. That doesn't work out well; not for you, or your customers. You've admitted to having done the bare minimum, and you have admitted to still wanting to do the bare minimum but still make loads of money. Your customer service is tit. You hound people who haven't paid on time, but you refuse to refund the people you stole from. The double-standard is disgusting, and the fact that you sleep at night is mind-boggling.

Generally I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of "making an example of people", just like I'm not the biggest fan of "cancel culture" because both can do more harm than good - oftentimes. However, I have to agree with @Hunsgraveyard here and say that Sarah does indeed need to made an example of because this scamming bullshit, not just from her but other business owners too, needs to bleeping stop. Talk about wanting to be "high vibe"? What the duck is so high vibe about contributing to greed, corruption and crime? No. Just bleeping no.

Brilliantly put 👏👏👏

And just to ensure Sarah can't try to hide the still current past (as she's never made amends), here's a link to all her deleted instagram posts around the scam, including admissions across multiple videos:

@NoExit I get the impression it’s going ok numbers wise but I don’t see people raving about it anymore like they used to. There’s not really a hype about doors opening etc as she’s focused on class of 2022

She talked a lot about it having a stressful time of it in biz last year with applying for grants etc so I guess this is a lot more appealing than £20 ish quid a month membership!

I remember her being very outspoken when this all kicked off as there was some chat in the coven group about it (as a safe space!) but I think it got shut down eventually. So I’d guess their on/off friendship is off now 😬

Oh ok then. Shall we just move on now? 🤷‍♀️

Ps. Me me me me me me me
Wow. I think this is the closest we’re going to get to Sarah admitting she fucked up, but it’s STILL a bleeping ‘woe is me’ mentality. No Sarah, people won’t just move on because you’ve admitted that you oversold and underdelivered - that’s not how this works. You do not get to decide how this story ends, sorry mate.

Ah that stuff about The Coven 22 thing bugs me. I remember seeing Saph talking about the Sarah saga and calling out how wrong it was, defending PTM etc, but now seems to be building her own version of it all? Makes me sad as I genuinely like Saph and thought she had good intentions and have a tit about people, but can’t say I vibe with this new venture she’s embarking on. Sorry, but I don’t know how you can expect to effectively serve 150 people - it beggars belief.
The Coven worked as it had a set number of group members that she could manage and reply to where needed, but I just don’t know how something where much more 1:1 time will be needed is going to work?

but hey, maybe she’ll surprise us all 🤷🏻‍♀️

She’s clearly gotten her own way her whole life. The very fact that her husband took her back after such a bad affair shows that she’s surrounded by enablers. I do believe that cheating doesn’t have to be black or white but wow… there is a limit?

Actions have consequences.

Exactly this. The scary thing is the damage this will inevitably do to her daughters. And I've got no doubt Sarah Akwisombe knows this fact if she took a moment of reflection. But she won't change her behaviour to protect them because the only person Sarah Akwisombe gives a tit about is Sarah Akwisombe.

She's had countless opportunities to make spends over the last 14 months and has chosen not to. So any and all consequences are fully on her.

Instagram Made her do it!!! Give me strength

And if they can't make money from scamming, I think this the real crux of it. We must all keep this thread active.

Sarah on IG talking about creating a 10-step guide to surviving scandal/being cancelled, thinking she survived, pretending like she’s not just now beginning to feel the long-term effects of her actions and is essentially beginning to drown slowly and painfully👀👀

Honey, you’re still cancelled. You survived nothing. Refund fully and apologize and you might.

^^This x1000 👍

Sarah Akwisombe categorically has not "survived". Let's look at the proven evidence:

- Brand partnerships including O2, Voi, Barbour and more have all fallen through after they found out about her scam (and she's complained about this so unequivocal evidence of this).
- She has had to close down NBBS, her primary income stream after the scandal. She talks shout this on her IG Stories entitled "women sad business". Sarah - don't bother trying to delete it, because if you do, we'll just post up Undelete links to it instead 🖕🖕
- The BBC had to re-edit a podcast she had weasled her way onto, once they found out about the scale of the scam. Frankie Cotton of WOTPOD shared all the details of this and her excellent work behind the scenes getting Sarah cut from it.
- 16(!) media pieces about her scam from both specialist and mainstream media. Not one retraction, correction or addendum at any stage. What does that tell you?
- As we have seen from posters on here, people connected to her personally are creating distance.
- A distinctive name that as soon as you search it, brings up all the coverage of her scams
- An agency meeting where she was in line to pick up a major campaign but a Google search of her name by someone there led to an embarrassing situation, the loss of the campaign and likely so much embarrassment for the agency that she's now shadow blacklisted.
- Continual loss of audience since the scam was unveiled.

So no, doesn't sound for a moment like Sarah Akwisombe has survived being cancelled. It's all lies as per usual with her, and the evidence speaks for itself.

Sarah Akwisombe needs to cone to terms with the fact that no, this is never going away until she refunds every single person and apologises, then demonstrates she isn't a narcissist who only cares about easy money over clients, family and standard human decency.

I'm trying to think what insights and advice Akwisombe could deliver at all in this space 🤣😂🤣

Last time I checked, crisis management comms was quite a bit more involved and nuanced than "delete, block, gaslight". Interestingly though that 3 stage approach Sarah Akwisombe prefers is the same as used in every MLM, pyramids scheme and cult too.

Well here we go, a twitter rant from Sarah Akwisombe about being cancelled 🙄 🤣

Hmmmm yeah sure, OF COURSE you still got paid by brands. OF COURSE there's a secret society of cancelled people, like the Freemasons with a secret handshake 🤝 😂 OF COURSE all those journalists were in the wrong. The stream of tit pouring from her consciousness would make any British water company's "dumping sewage into rivers" team blush...... Girl, stop lying. We all see you.
