Erm it wasn’t meant literally- I meant did she really ‘runaway’, was she at all the seminal places she claimed to be etc. On no level would I actually consider hiring a PI. Behave people!😂

Hiring a PI? That sounds pretty creepy…

now I’m mentally going thru extreme situations in my mind that I would consider hiring a PI… can’t think of any that wouldn’t mess up any relationship

Completely agree with this. Comes across that She’s done very little wider research on this topic, because as usual, she has literally only written about her own very narrow personal experience. She’s only researched it in as far as it applies to her particular set of circumstances, and she doesn’t understand the wider subject at all. So why the fuck Vogue thought her a fit and proper person to write a piece on it I don’t understand. It’s only of use to anyone if they slot into Sali’s own extremely unique ‘complex’ set of parameters.
You know why

I‘m moving my parting every few weeks and waiting for inspiration / trying to get used to it. I have my mum as a living warning to what happens when you dye your greying hair brown - the maintenance is insane.
Has the lighter colour worked for you? It’s something I’m considering for my next hairdresser appointment.
Its definitely softens the dark/ white contrast! I use one I get in Waitrose/Holland and Barrett Naturtint. Just looked on line and H and B do a smile permanent one too which could be intreresting to try.

You get the gist - it’s fine, but I’ve a lot of it and the texture has changed with the grey coming through. It looks very fluffy below, which I suppose it is.

Sam Chapman (not without her issues, I know) has gone blonde and it looks beautiful! What a difference to Sali’s dodgy ‘do.
It suits her, she was blonde a long time ago when her kids were small. I’m sure she said she wouldn’t do it again but never say never.

That and a pillow talk lipliner and you’re sorted

I saw a Nadine Baggott & Jo Jones on an IGTV today and Jo is pregnant! Fair play to her, she’s a year older than me and I always wanted a third baby and now I’m wondering….

I only wear Superstars (shelltoes). It’s a devotion to RunDMC. Yes, and the year round Bretons. Pick it out of that fashion Gods (middle age middle class midlife crisis).

If you are lifting and not eating enough protein, then you might be getting the double-whammy of putting your body under stress of breaking down muscle and not feeding enough. When women get older we actually need to up the protein due to the hormonal change. I was surprised how little I was eating when I totted up my daily average. Like you I do kettlebells regularly and was constantly tired and stiff. Lots of ways of adding protein that’s not meat- live yoghurt/ pulses/ eggs/ cheese/ nuts.
I do eat a lot of those foods. I need to start using cronometer again, so I know what my macros are. I am just so demotivated at the moment though

I feel like a giant slug. Why is there no slug emoji?

Yeah, I am on HRT. But if everything else checks out, I guess this might be just my new normal
I was about to ask if you are perimenopausal/menopausal on HRT. I am on it and am lucky in as much as my hair has got thicker. I used to suffer from aching joints terribly, that was one of my key symptoms and one that disappeared almost overnight when I was on the correct HRT. The fact your anxiety is not good, along with your aching joints and fatigue makes me suspect you might not be on the best cocktail of HRT.

I would strongly recommend seeing a specialist or being referred to a menopause clinic

Her HRT regimen: Extra special ‘baby’ doses of oestrogen because she doesn’t really need it.
OMG, this made me laugh as I have actually had a unique, well, not the norm menopause. And believe me, if she takes oestrogen and her body does not need it, she will definitely be bitching about hot flushes, lack of sleep and a myriad of other issues too!

Have you tried upping protein in your diet. I’ve found it’s really helped with the symptoms you describe in the last few months. Supplement with powder protein collagen and aim for 60g a day between food and the supplement. Michael Douglas the hairdresser had a very informative live in his IG with a hair loss specialist specialist a few months ago and she talked at length about aiming at that amount of protein for hair health. I find my joints and overall energy much better too.
Eva Proudman is the Trichologist who joins Michael Douglas occasionally, and she is a wealth of knowledge. She has her own Instagram account too. I watched the live Q&A they did on chemotherapy as my mam was in treatment at the time, and she was absolutely brilliant. She’s well worth looking up.
