I don't know that one, but these chummy big-sisterly advice books that are as broad as this only work if they've either got some grain of originality, or the author is funny and/or likeable (Nora Ephron on all points). This just sounds like a facsimile of a facsimile of a facsimile, and they can't sell it on the author's sparkling personality or funny prose, so what are we even doing here?

Not my cup of tea but I suppose she's vaguely aspirational? I can see a publisher going for that, it's Sophie Dahl cookbook vibes. I don't see what Sali's publisher is seeing.

Quite. I actually think she is relatively unknown tbh. Certain not somebody whose lifestyle or philosophy is that aspirational I would have thought.
Is really is the height of arrogance to presume you are such an expert on all manner of things you write a book about them. The Pool rehashed isn't it? And look how well that has aged.

That book blurb - like most people if I don’t know something I google it. The internet is anonymous and YouTube has tutorials for everything. This book is obsolete before its even published. Smart women will save their money and look online.
