It is the fact she is essentially a hypocrite, it may be that she is a deluded hypocrite by not realising the gap between what she says and her actions. The video above where were was interviewed and she states ‘I’m not so bothered by wrinkles.’ And yet she has a forehead that doesn’t really move from Botox from her Mayfair clinic. In my mind that is hypocritical and l would love to understand why she thinks it isn’t or maybe she doesn’t even analyse it that deeply.

If she wasn’t getting Botox and had lines between her brows/ on forehead would she be ‘not so bothered about wrinkles‘?

If she just said - l get Botox as l prefer not to have lines around this section of my face but around my eyes l am not so bothered - then l could understand that. We are not stupid people - despite the fact in her mind we are all ‘Trolls’ for simply noticing this discrepancy.

Maybe for her as long as what she does state is arguably true and what she omits or edits from what she says therefore doesn’t count. E.g Right now I am not so bothered by wrinkles is true but omitted from that is ‘now that l have all my forehead related wrinkles taken care of by Botox’

I know. A little self-deprecating concession on this topic would alter my perception of her (a little bit). It's human and real. I get her point that she has no obligation to tell everyone what she has had done, and that's true generally speaking, BUT when you make your own career about aspirational skincare and makeup AND you are flogging the stuff, you need to be more transparent. She was asked a direct question, and she obfuscated. Wasn't there a time when she mocked celebs for answering "Pond's cream" when asked about their perfect complexions? How is answering "concealer" any different?

Yes she said it was to correct a "wonky top lip"

Here's what she wrote about contouring before:

Total hypocrisy. She makes these arbitrary distinctions as though they nullify negate anything she personally chooses to do. She takes such a hard stance against a thing when she does exactly the same TYPE of thing herself. It's really splitting hairs to separate them, isn't it? I do think she's not all that self-aware

Tbf to the Chapman sisters, one of them, when asked about her good skin genes answered something like - 'Not good skin genes but good cosmetic doctors' (or something very loosely along those lines).
I know Sali says she has addressed the Botox issue but a few discrete mentions ages ago are not enough imo.
She uses her own face as a billboard for products and 100% I think ethically needs to let it be common knowledge that she has treatments. If she was selling books, clothes, food then absolutely it is nobody's business.

100% agree her face is effectively used as an endorsement of the products - if she was endorsing anything else she would be free to do absolutely as she pleased and not mention Botox/ fillers etc but selling skincare means there should be complete transparency. Saying it once or twice is not enough and certainly saying her good skin is down to ‘Concealer’ is not correct or fair. I genuinely don’t know how she could argue otherwise or not understand why people call her out on it. Unless she thinks We should all just buy the bloody concealer and shut up already!

This is the most frustrating part. Because we call her out on it, we are "trolls", "broken people", "mentals", "skidmarks". Good grief

I vaguely remembered undeclared use of Botox being mentioned in the first post on the first SH thread. I looked it up just now and it was. I also found this - which was I think the third post on the first thread.

'Used to admire SH as she has worked hard for her influencer fame but I think she has been soft selling for years. She either tags her new dresses, jumpers etc or only answers questions asking where her clothes are from.
Her massive forehead is looking odd now because the rest of her face is not tight. That is her prerogative. My issue is she sells anti aging products which she swears by but she never admits she has been using botox for years. ( so they don't work that well then)
She has always been upfront about the products she flogs being sent for free.
She is very litigious and was furious with mumsnet a few years ago when calling her out. If she finds this thread she will react with all guns blazing.
Finally her books like all influencer books are tit. A photo of a jar of Vaseline/ ljpstick/nail varnish at al with a paragraph on it being iconic ffs she got paid for that.'

I’ve posted similar before on this thread but the filter free train selfies really got my goat. I remember looking at them and feeling completely tit about myself. She’s a good few years older than me and I couldn’t get my head around the fact she looked that good all without a filter. I promptly ordered several of the makeup products she’d listed. Little did I realise that she’s had a helping hand from a Mayfair Dr. Maybe I was naive but when someone’s shtick is ‘pretty honest’.......

That sheerluxe article - she managed to plug a blonde hair dying specialist even before she's been to him! ("Not there yet" with the greys etc). she plugs the Sam McKnight hairspray, despite always saying that "like crisps" cheaper is better and elnett is eternal. I've never read a glowing review of his hairsprays from anyone who has paid for them. (Part of me is disappointed by that because the packaging speaks to my basic aesthetic and I wanted to justify buying one)

I would too - a more authentic and naturally pretty face. Also saying things like ‘l am not bothered by wrinkles’ would make sense as you are standing by what you are saying.

That photo has reminded me why I liked her, trusted her recommendations, and joined the FB group. She had an interesting and pretty look, a bit edgier. She obviously is still pretty - but it is a more corporate glossy appearance that I don't find as relatable at all.
