She's almost at Meldrum levels of just pretending everything's normal, wittering on about her wisteria and early nights and just conveniently ignoring the fact that she's had an entire paid ad campaign wiped off her grid today. Nope nothing to see here folks, drama....what drama? Just an ordinary day, everything's still rosy at RVK HQ. I tell you between this #vitamingate and Meldrum, the influencer bubble is well and truly bursting.

She is probably far from ok. That is money lost and a brand that will likely have blacklisted her...also, PRs talk about influencers so word might get around.

If you look on the photo shelf photo comments, there’s still a couple of questions about the supplements - one being which brand does she prefer.... dying for her to answer it but know she won’t!

This has to rank as some of the worst infuencer behaviour ever. Promotes a suppliment brand even though she hasn't taken it but thinks as it's cheaper than what she actually takes it might be better for her plebian followers. Then tries to turn it around that shes just promoting the concept of taking suppliments. The whole point the brand paid her is to build their brand, else you might as well take something generic own brand that's 95% cheaper.

Then comes on to moan that people asked reasonable questions and takes zero responsibility for a business Instagram account. Probably gets more in freebies alone then the average person makes in a year along with lots of cold hard cash.
Brand damaging for both.....!

This from the woman who on this very thread stated that IG was a edited "highlight reel", she completely conflates any criticism of influencers business practices with critcism of them personally.

This article was an interesting (although slightly biased) read, influencers bemoaning the commercialisation of IG: https://www.google.com/amp/s/en.vog...cers-bloggers-sparking-industry-downfall/amp/
Thank you so much for sharing that. It has me thinking. When you buy a magazine it will be advertorial (this allows the cost of production) and that’s fine. For that advert there has been a professional ad team, production team of professional hairdressers, make up artists, nail technicians, lighting. There will be a professional photographer and creative team. There will be graphic designers. But that’s fine as it is a professional advert.

Standing on a beach hut steps in Norfolk clutching a tiny box of pregancy vitamins (that you never ingested) and calling it “work” is simply breathtaking.

I get that smaller companies do not have the glossy magazine budgets but really?? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Someone granted that post as acceptable for RVK to post.

No problem. 😊

You're exactly right, when you look at an ad you know that you're being sold to within the bounds of advertising legalisation. That article also pointed out that these influencers have no clue whatsoever about the restrictions on them, which makes them almost dangerous to brands. If I were a brand I think I would cut my ties to these micro influencers as I'm sure I'd get sued for something, at some point.

This micro influencer trend will implode at some point.

what the duck is she talking about? She doesn't want to buy a limited edition perfume as she'll never be able to buy it again? Oh boo hoo, poor Rebecca.

She is so weird. I bought a limited edition Jo Malone a few years ago - Wisteria and Violet - and it is SO beautiful. It came out like 5 years ago and I still have some left. I kept it in a dark drawer and it still smells good. She could buy a few bottles... as she says, "my husband earns 10 x more than yours ever will." Or whatever it was. Silly little girl.

I think she was making a point that she buys things herself. 🙄
Going to be interesting when she does this new blog post about the clothes she has bought. I thought they were all gifted. I can't believe she is buying more clothes anyway. What a farce. She's just buying for the sake of it now.
Our RVK isn't worried about wastefulness or her carbon footprint is she? How cringe.

It will be a short blog post then if it contains items she has purchased 🤷🏻‍♀️

Like her photos but too many ads these days. Every photo is an ad. She comes across as much older than she is and very, very entitled.

On the one hand she comes across as old and bland but on the other she comes across as terribly immature.

I still follow her but find her images dull and repetitive now.
