@Ghosttalk4 you are spot on - it's like it'd her duty. I'll be honest I've still not been able to bring myself to read it but THAT photo .... I have no words.

Can anyone tell me why she's wearing an adult nappy in labour? I have never been offered one - what's it for ?

The fluids. She’ll have bought the pants herself I bet. It doesn’t matter in hospital if a mess is made but she didn’t want her pristine house messed up evidently 🙄 and I bet she didn’t want to expose her ladybits until she absolutely had to!

Does seem a bit bonkers. I wore no pants through all of labour, just a long nightie to cover my dignity until it was time to push, then I didn't care who saw!

Same! They’re the type of pants some elderly ladies wear just for that little bit of security. With my second I was in that position towards the end of the labour. My bits were exposed and I turned around and the room was full of midwives and doctors and like you I didn’t care 🙈

That picture! For personal use only.🤸🏻‍♀️🤢🙄
Absolutely. I might comment on her blog. She’s gone too far

I don’t know why but seeing so many personal details and pictures makes me feel very uncomfortable. I just can’t imagine walking around my village or when the baby goes to school etc everyone knowing my life inside out. Quiet possibly she has swapped her eating disorder for an addiction to social media, something I feel she seriously needs help with. When she talks about the neighbours across the road realising she was in labour it seems delusional to me that she thinks everyone is as invested in her story as she is, when really for the majority of us it means nothing. Rebecca please get some help I know if you were my daughter I would be incredibly worried about you. All those companies sending you freebies means nothing they do not care about you or your family it’s just cheap advertising for them.
This is bang on. Especially when you said 'she talks about the neighbours across the road realising she was in labour it seems delusional to me that she thinks everyone is as invested in her story as she is, when really for the majority of us it means nothing.'

She needs to get a grip. Everyone feels very emotional about their own birth story. It changes you forever. But honestly, no one else cares. It happens thousands of times a day and no one else needs this level of information at all.

And to think she's been spending her first few weeks with her daughter stressing about getting this masterpiece 'published' ASAP for her followers 🤦‍♀️

Writing about wearing a dress that wouldn’t let the nappies be seen is also nuts.

I wonder if she will look back and regret sharing this very intimate level of detail.

Whilst it is her own personal experience it leaves her wide open to criticisms.

She's clearly taken on board the less helpful mantras of hypnobirthing and believes the doctors are all intervention crazy instead of focused on securing healthy women and babies. Refusing induction in the face of potential placental failure, reduced movements and growth is madness. Affirmations can only take you so far. Also if labour stalled because of hospital staff and bright lights then that's premature birth solved right away.

Do we reckon Gramps took that delightful photo?? 🤢
Probably one of his jobs on the birth plan:
1. Fill the pool
2. Take unflattering photos for the blog
3. Cut cord by torchlight

Such private moments, in infinite detail, shared to the world. 😢. It’s personal preference but I’d much rather have had my mother visit than post those pictures. The person with experience of life and me.

I just don't understand at all why she has felt the need to do this.
OK, share your story with the world if you absolutely feel the need to. But honestly, an utterly enormous two part post about every intimate detail of your tiny tear in a difficult to reach place and the colour of the sky and the magical signs and your adult nappy and the burning sensation.

You are not the first person to give birth. And quite honestly it's just a post filled with utter bollocks and some pretty irrisonsible medical decisions. Refusing an induction 24 hours after her waters broke because she new the infection statistics better than the midwife. Refusing an induction after she had reduced movement because her placenta may be failing.

I assume that's what she meant by you make your own luck in birth. That translates to, she's such a control freak that she refused to have any medical intervention when advised because it went against her plan.

Someone could follow her advice and questionable goggled stats that she challenged the midwife with and end up having the worst possible outcome.

I couldn’t imagine wanting a picture taken of me like that, let alone sharing it online. For what purpose is she sharing it?

3. Cut cord by torchlight and remember to remove the price tag off it...

I haven’t read Pt 2 yet, but OMDays that photo. It’s burnt into my retina. I can’t unsee it. Someone with Photoshop skills could have an absolute field day with it. I only wish that person was me.

I agree with you on this too. While she is saying she was ok with the risk of infection because it was at 10% and she decided she was ok with that she hasn’t taken into account that the infection risk is double what it was and as someone whose baby had to be on iv antibiotics due to infection (and not because I decided I knew better than a medical professional may I add) she would have been devastated that her selfish decision led to this. The way it is written is irresponsible at best as it is telling others that these risks are ok to take and belittles the medical advice that is given to save lives - I would hate for someone to do what she has because they read her blog and not have as lucky an outcome as she has had.

In all seriousness she could end up on Pornhub. Anything goes these days and I bet some men love labour pics 🤮 May god forgive me for evening having such thoughts. I am sullied 😫

I will never be able to unsee that photo! 😮 She wouldn’t have her mum anywhere near, but just to drop of food, yet will happily show this photo to the world! 🙈
As if we were all holding our breath for the blog post of the year to see her with her arse in the air?! I feel sorry for her because if you feel the need to share this type of highly personal stuff with people I think it speaks volumes about where she is and how she feels, but she’s still a total twit...

I also think she likens herself to Meghan ‘the neighbours saw the cars coming and going blah blah blah’ makes me want to scream “NO ONE CARES AS MUCH AS YOU THINK THEY DO!”

Again, already mortified for Freya for when she starts playgroups/nursery/school “Oh look there’s that oversharing mum...” 🙈

And trust me, school mums DO look for tit like this. And they do start gossip WhatsApp groups to talk tit about other mums in their kids year 😒🙄

The more snooty the school, the worse the mums are. If she thinks tattle is bad, she's in for a bloody rude awakening on the school playground.

Her kid is in for a rough ride. That arse in the air adult nappy picture is out there now, I gaurentee that will crop up in the playground at some point.

So true! She can’t be thinking straight can she? Why would she post that picture? It’s too much. Does she think it’ll disappear into oblivion because it won’t. I can just see some kid walking up to Freya and shoving that pic in her face when she’s older. Kids (and some mums) can be vile sadly
