I just don’t understand why he ever did it? This was around the time bloggers were monetising their content & maybe even getting book deals out of it, but like… it’s a sex blog being written by two straight blokes it’s hardly going to be some revolutionary right on thing that the few sex-product brands with money would want to be affiliated with? Remind me, is he self employed? I would hate to work with a man knowing he had a blog like this. We've all worked with men that talk to your tits instead of face, but knowing that he was also thinking these things, and being so public with those thoughts would give me the ick. Ngl tho whomst amongst us wouldn’t email this to HR if we had to work with him? You can just imagine him being truly insufferable to work with as he’s a delusional compulsive liar who isn’t as smart as he’d like to be, this’d be the silver bullet to get him out ur hair

Maybe I should laugh this off, but it's bothering me for lots of reasons. Rant below.

Everyone's allowed to have their preferences, but what I can't stand in this post is the implication that ''real sex'' = whatever aggressive porn clips he's been watching lately. Who is he to judge what is or isn't proper sex? To say you don't believe in loving, gentle sex is such an odd way to make a point. It's one thing to say 'I don't like this' - instead he's talking as if he's Richard Dawkins discussing the existence of God. There's also such misogyny (there it is again!) in the disdain for Mills & Boon type romance, which is typically seen as a very female-oriented thing and not taken seriously by anyone. Besides, the 'gently kiss my way down your body' stuff isn't exclusive to Mills & Boon. It's actually really sexy in a less-is-more way (not when it involves Russ ofc). But hey, apparently we're not allowed to find affectionate behaviour attractive or else we'll be seen as lesser beings who are beneath his rational manly intellect.

*I don't think Russ would know anything about the 'less is more' thing because he seems to have a few issues with desensitisation and, umm, the 'death grip' as it's commonly known.

I’ve read a lot of twitter over the summer break and have seen vague allusions to this, and on Jack’s thread, but OMG.

I know a few people in IT/ UX- consultants get paid well but jobs seem to come and go. I think he’s telling the truth about his salary, and teachers salary was about right for newish teacher too.

He’s definitely a ‘where’s my hug?’ type of man. His generation of “lads” are why I’m constantly in whole staff DEI training.

In a healthy relationship, you have all kinds of sex from quickies to slow and lazy shags. But it sounds like Russ, instead of going with the flow and being in sync with his partner, goes in with the attitude that sex is some kind of Olympic sport where speed and endurance are the goal.

Remember that Sex and the City episode where Carrie meets a guy the night before Charlotte’s wedding and they have really awful sex? She’s just laying still while he jackhammers away. That sounds like Russ’s fantasy.

He's definitely been warped by porn, unable to seperate the fantasy from reality. I remember there was a random Cosmo article ages ago where they interviewed a famous porn star, his willy was so big they made dildos of it etc but he said that the sex he had in his personal life was nothing like the stuff he did on camera. The jackhammering rough 'punishing' the woman stuff was just what sold rather than the sensual, romantic stuff. I think even if Russ realises that it is too late, he has broken his brain. Sexual desire is a dangerous thing if nurtured in the wrong way. One minute you're talking about rear foo foos on your blog and watching videos of how bigger boys do it, the next you've strangle wanked yourself to death in a hotel wardbrobe.
