Got a ballot place for london landmarks today. I'm very novice and would be my first half. Also entered the ballot for london marathon but I know thats unlikely. Was just wondering what people thought of landmarks as I would have to pay before I hear about marathon (both would be a challenge for my current running ability!)

I did it in 2021 and it was nice but very winding in places with a few hairpins. Definitely worth it if you’ve never done it before. My husband said he got a ballot email confirming his place today but it’s not one if so again

The London marathon ballot is like hens teeth. I’d just carry on with the landmarks. Not least because it’s very sensible to train for a half before training for a marathon.
