Hopefully this does not go against the rules but the deleted post talked about some personal information.

Honestly I never understood why people would join her bookclub. If all I want to hear about a book is how „beautiful“ it is then I can just go on amazon and read the reviews. Maybe she‘s different over there but whenever she talks about books in her videos I never got the impression that she had much to say...
Ah ok I assumed it’s about her surname. I just saw that post is still up.

Actually she’s barely on the book club group. She’ll make the vote for which books to read then does a livestream at the end of the month. Which is all fine. It’s just the amount of posts from other people promoting their book instagrams etc just floods it. There’s moderators but no one keeps the group ordered so I always miss what the new books are and her live-streams just get buried.

Sure it can’t survive but packaging / products are the most unlikely transmission route.
They did test this hypothesis.
People panicking and scientific basis don’t always mix.

Unless of course you’re planing to lick the book cover
Some studies have shows it can last on surfaces for up to 28 days, all it takes it for someone to have coughed on their hand or not been washing their hands a lot to touch the book and the virus is there

Ok, I get it that she drinks a lot of tea. But using the same, already used tea bag to make another tea?? What??
I thought this! It’s not like she can’t afford more tea bags??

I’m just watching her new video and she only does 2 modules?! She does way too much work for that, I do 6 modules and don’t do half as much as Ruby does!!
i was about to say the 3rd would be a research project or dissertation but no she’s only in second year

Think the biggest problem is that she’s filming herself studying so obviously she wants
everything to look nice

Did she get rid of/private that video? I can't find it anywhere anymore... thought I had imagined it for a while.
I definitely remember watching it, she'd done it as an investment.

After watching the uni vlog I can see why she went home and I don't blame her, she seems a bit wobbly at the moment which is understandable.

I found R.C. Waldun's video on dark acaDAYmia better constructed than Ruby's tbh. (I disliked The Secret History with all that I have tbh.)

I thought the exact same! Hopefully its just the angle/perspective she's filmed it at but is is worrying. Especially considering what she's been showing us recently with her portion sizes, the actual food she's eating (low calorie) and the excessive amount of exercise she's been doing :/
I don’t think her glasses help either when it comes to the size of her face, they make her look incredibly small and I think they’re just too big for her face shape and size.

Wow, I literally had no idea private schools were that expensive jesus christ. It just seems insane to pay that much money to get something that you could literally have for free 🤣 do her parents pay her uni fees as well?
Probably, I know a few private school kids who’s parents have just paid up front as they’re used to doing it.
It’s actually not as expensive as some of the ones I also know of. It’s like a mid tier senior prices (which seems bonkers)

I'll be honest, I never went to uni so just wanted to ask.

Is Ruby doing extra or is that the normal amount of uni work you're assigned?

It just seems like she's always working on her uni stuff but don't know if it's the normal amount or she's asked for extra work to do?

Hope this makes sense!

The ED discussion comes up a lot, and I wouldn't want to diagnose but I think with Ruby it's much more about eating perfectly and doing the right amount of exercise in an "obeying the rules" kind of way more than an obsession with how she looks? I don't know, but I think that if her eating is disordered it's more in line with orthorexia than anything else. That said, she was really into that book the Fasting Girls. Again, not for me or any viewer really to say outright what her behaviour around food aligns with but that's my take given the rest of her personality and habits.

I did once comment (politely) asking why productivity was so important. There is something very Late Capitalism about measuring your entire life, even your free time, by what you produce from it. Not everything good in life is measurable.
You'd think with all those beautiful handwritten notes she makes about theory something might have clicked 😆

I think pinafore dresses are actually really cute for 20 somethings too, its just the styling that's key! Like if you put on a nice white button up shirt under a black pinafore or a floral shirt and wear a nice duffel coat for autumn/winter over it, i think its really cute! Think Rachel Green vibes!
Oh I would agree, it's just the style of hers! I have two pinafores that I actually wear really frequently, but one is a cord one and I have a more formal checked one which I normally wear with a jumper and boots for work. I just think the ones she picks are a bit too dated and don't look great!

I did English at Exeter and can confirm that you only do four 30 credit modules in second year (two per semester). Same in third year as well. You are expected to do a LOT of reading and have both essays and exams in all of them. I never did nearly as much as Ruby though - I really hope she doesn’t burn herself out.

I don't think it's weird for a 20 year old to go live at home during uncertain times when classes are online anyway. I think you lot are a bit harsh on her.
It's so weird for a fully grown woman to run back home to her parents?! Maybe not if she was living somewhere like Liverpool or Lancashire but my god, Exeter is honestly fine (compared to the rest of the UK) so she's just using the fact uni can be online as an excuse to go home imo

I'd say her family's accent is a mix of Southern British Standard (common in the South of England generally) and Hertfordshire (which may be close to where they live, not sure of their location). Ruby's accent is a lot closer to Upper Received Pronunciation (what people would call the Queen's English or a 'posh' accent). That's why it's so jarring when she mispronounces words, but you don't expect it from someone with her accent/sound system.

Source: If you can't tell, I did Linguistics as a degree 😅
Dending on what side of the county I think she lives in (based on the school she went too) Hertfordshire isn’t that far
I really don’t get her almost out upon accent, the way she was like swaying side to side when she was saying hello it’s ruby, I do think somethings going on in the background, she just seems so different to her past self (like she’s just not happy)

In the one about being productive and getting essay marks she literally went outside like 6 times during the day. I get we are in lockdown but she's been focussing a little too much on exercise
And changed outfits 4 times during that day!!!

I hope not. Maybe it’s the uni?

There was a story about the Irish gov (I think) paying some big influencer to promote acting safely and I guess in a way it’s a good way to access younger people but it’s a bit off that gov money (and so public tax) goes to some influencer to make a story 🤷🏻‍♀️
She’s now promoting the covid app. I can’t believe that the government would actually pay a studytuber to promote the covid rules.
