OT but what do you mean? Epitome and epitomise are two separate words and are pronounced differently

It makes next to no sense to pay the 9k though when the chances of anyone paying that back (or anything close to it) is next to 0. My cousins went/go to private school and still get tuition loans and so do most of their friends because of that.

It depends what kind of job they go into. I’ve got some friends in the city paying something mad like £150 a month so that on top of income tax (they’re in top bracket) is a huge chunk. Maybe they would have been better having their parents pay it off

Re her career after I think she’ll do an MA and then maybe go into publishing? It’s incredibly hard to be a full time author and even though she has a following I don’t know how far that would guarantee success- her writing needs to be good.

Has anyone read her book/s? How’s her writing?

I'm from Hertfordshire originally (spent 20 years growing up in the chavvy area haha) and I don't think she sounds like us or the people I grew up around

In tier 3 you weren’t supposed to leave the area. It’s not moving house because she was living in student halls. But if she chose to move to uni then you are supposed to stay there and not move back home

I can see her staying at uni for the longest time possible and then either staying at uni for a job or becoming a writer.

yes, i'd say either staying in academia or being overly-productive trying to have different sources of income like ali abdaal does (investing in real estate, remember she bought a cottage being only 18, and pushing her own brand, pumpking productivity, just like holly gabrielle does with narna and her tutoring business)
i don't see her in a corporate job, in an office and having a boss

Wait thats crazy?! I went to a private school but it was 1/3 of the price, I don't know the average price of private schools as I try my best not to associate with the awful time I had there but that seems hella expensive to send 2 children to.

It’s very averagely priced for a senior day school, some of the others in the surrounding area are almost twice the price for senior day pupils, they clearly either saw it as an investment or had the money burning a hole in their pockets

She's definitely working on a book. She could have written a lot over quarantine but I also think she may wait until she graduates to finish it.
I think she'll bring out children's or YA books, especially given the book the agent recommended she read.

Does anyone know what happened to the podcast Ruby was doing with Jack, Jade and Eve? Have any of them ever addressed the fact they don't seem to be doing it anymore? Ruby seems quite close with Jade but I'm not convinced Jack and Eve would have much to do with her if it wasn't for the fact they are all with the same management. As in, they would never have been friends if they had met at university outside of YouTube... just a vibe I get.

People are appealing on mass, there are petitions to get it changed, and I have actually seen on Twitter that some law firms are asking students to reach out to them, so I think it's very possible that we might end up seeing some legal action.

I think she uses go pro to vlogband I wish she would switch to a normal camera, that lens is giving me motion sickness.

She does? Is the gopro footage in every vlog? Not trying to discredit you, just curious cuz I genuinely can't tell the difference.
She has more than enough money for a canon g7x (which seems to be most youtubers' vlog camera of choice). It seems really strange that she'd opt for a go pro instead. It's not like she's going skiing or bungee jumping.

I really like Ruby, I found her at the same time as I discovered Eve Bennett and Anastasia K so I just liked how different she was. I find her videos relaxing to listen to when I’m getting ready for work (though it’s been a few months!)

Is anyone part of her book club on Facebook? It’s the most disorganised thing which is funny considering how organised she is!

Hopefully this does not go against the rules but the deleted post talked about some personal information.

Honestly I never understood why people would join her bookclub. If all I want to hear about a book is how „beautiful“ it is then I can just go on amazon and read the reviews. Maybe she‘s different over there but whenever she talks about books in her videos I never got the impression that she had much to say...
