I thought she was making herself smaller her latest video, it gave me that impression judging by the way she carried herself
yeah, in most shots she's quite hunched over. it doesn't look good, just makes her look like she's uncomfortable being on camera

For someone who spends so much of their life at a desk, I wish she would spend some of her influencer money on a more ergonomic setup. The secondhand backache is too much.

Has anyone also noticed that her voice has changed ? She sounds different
Do you mean recently or in general? She definitely sounds different than 2 years ago and earlier, I think it's nice and she sounds a lot more natural and less trying-hard-to-be-posh now IMO.

Just in case anyone else is vegan/veggie etc/wondering about this, it takes a while for B12 & folate levels to drop on a vegan diet as your stores can last years and just slowly drop over time (can be 3-4 years later!). It's not always simple to treat a deficiency later down the line and try to reverse the the symptoms it causes. Some symptoms such as hair loss can be distressing and don't resolve quickly, and some neurological symptoms can be irreversible. If she doesn't supplement I think she should put a disclaimer and make this clear as I think it could mislead people who try to emulate her.
I can confirm this. My partner (vegetarian and world's fussiest eater since childhood) was so unwell a few months ago. He had been feeling off colour for a while, and suddenly went downhill fast, it was a nightmare trying to get help as it was the height of the pandemic. Long story short, he had severe anaemia, was in ITU care, needed several blood transfusions over his two week stay in hospital. He had short term memory loss for only a couple of days before he was finally admitted to hospital, but he still has memory loss even though his blood is back to normal :(

I think anyone following a vegan or vegetarian diet (myself included) should be really careful, and keep an eye on your B12 and folic acid levels if you can. The damage caused by anaemia is shocking.

Your story is absolutely frightening, I'm so sorry ❤

Influencers should really pay attention to what they promote. Any type of drastic changes in diet can be detrimental to your health and it's crucial to educate your followers to the possible consequences and preferably refer them to take advice from someone experienced and /or a doctor. Deficiencies are not a joke and many times influencers just mention the vegan diet without any disclaimers, even claiming sometimes that it won't cause any deficiencies which is simply untrue.

Absolutely. I follow a vegan cooking channel and the girl who runs it often mentions B12 deficiency, stressing the fact that it's a serious issue and recommending that people take supplements or at least be mindful about their diet.

So yesterday in the UK was hotter and sunnier than it has been in a while and she wears these clothes yet the other day when it was a lot cooler she wore a summer dress? (Sorry, don’t have photos of the dress, it was blue checked and sleeveless). Does she do it to shiver and burn calories/sweat more and burn calories or does she just not have a grasp of the temperature?

that would imply that she puts any thought into her outfits, which, judging by how she combines clothes, is not likely

Really strange to see someone that can legally vote, drink, and all the rest of the big stuff goes around dressing and acting like a 13 year old, scary really.

She has no common sense and doesn't think beyond "it's aesthetic!". Honestly for being "an intellectual" she comes off as such an airhead sometimes.

I can kind of empathise if she's trying to reject adulthood because of anxiety but if that's the cases then she needs therapy to help her cope in her adulthood. We are in a volatile world where women are very much subjected to mysogyny and beauty expectations and I can imagine EDs in young women and girls are in part related to fear of being an adult female in a male-centric society. Just my perspective. I hope she gets help for herself but also because she is starting to leave harmful traits in her vlogs and posts for impressionable young people to 'look up to'. Her grasping onto childood manners and looks is not healthy.

hahaa made me laugh but I could also relate - it would annoy me so much when I was struggling to keep up and the subject was hard and others were chatting and making it impossible to listen ^^''
This is Ruby with her housemates a while back when they were chatting at 10 PM and she was annoyed lmao
DEFINITELY

I watched her latest night routine, and I couldn't help but notice her dialogue is very similar to how she might talk when she's vlogging. I wonder if she's basically filming a night vlog, but refers to it as a routine as the word routine gets more clicks in the YouTube algorithm?

Is anyone else finding Ruby's videos a bit triggering for their ED? I had pizza last night and watched the night time routine video where she just had mainly veggies and a bit of pasta and no (vegan) cheese. It reminds me of my own restrictive habits. Especially the way she pulled a face at the thought of cheese. I remember convincing myself/others I didn't like certain foods anymore. I'm finding myself bodychecking Ruby a lot which I never used to do before because there's so much emphasis on her size and diet now in her videos/photo angles. I think I'll take a step back from following her for a bit for my own sanity tbh because I hate myself when I'm like this, and I've worked so hard not to this obsessive about other's body/diet and my own. It might sound dumb but her doing yoga before bed really tipped me off the edge - cos I'm literally eating and going to bed. Again, I recall working out in the mornings and before bed and how much I was able to lose doing that, and how much I sometimes still feel that urge now. I don't know you guys - it feels less productivity inspiring and more toxic producitivity. Her habits could be perfectly innocent but at the moment, with a bit of lockdown pudge on, I feel awful and weakwilled as it is with my own diet and exercise and content that drops hints like this doesn't help. If she does have something ED going on, I hope she can get through it because it is devastating even when you're in recovery. It could be that there's other things going on -intolerances she has to accommodate, a lack of appetite due to stress, a genuine urge to eat healthy that may be bordering on orthorexia now but the unintended effect for me is that it's triggering. I wish my brain didn't overthink stuff like this but it's hard not to and I can see by others comments on here a lot of you feel the same. Look after yourself and don't be afraid to unfollow her and this thread if it's provoking anything.
