Interesting that Ruby is following stoicism. I don't know much about it but know that it includes things like practicing self-control with food, sometimes even fasting, e.g. "The lesson here is similar to what Socrates once said which is that we should eat to live rather than live to eat. To practice this principle one can eat plain foods without sauces or try intermittent fasting" - the last bit sounds like Holly too!

Anyone else kinda sick of seeing a new #gifted outfit every single day on her Instagram stories?? Like does she really have nothing else to post?

"We get Gusto, which is a bit like Hello Fresh". If people know what Hello Fresh is, then they'll have heard of Gusto and if they've never heard of Hello Fresh, that's a terrible explanation??

Why is she reading on the bleeping floor when she has a bleeping bed right next to her?
Edit: it does explain all those books next/under thebed)

I might be wrong here and can’t be bothered to rewatch her videos to double check but does anyone else get the feeling that Ruby’s morning/night routines are just some kind of fabricated pretend plays just for the sake of putting out a new video ? My understanding of a routine is that it’s something that you actually do consistently every day for a certain number of days and then it becomes a routine. But everytime she puts out a new routine video (be it morning or night), it somehow never feels consistent with her recent videos where she also films around those moments, even though she just always does a rough mix of reading/busy work/ prancing and so on every single day? 🥴

i can just picture her writing a check list on a piece of paper (that she then dutifully copies on a first planner, then on a second planner but in a different colour and then on NoTiOns of course) of what a perfect night routine is for her at the moment and then just putting on a pretend play of those steps on camera like a a weird human-shaped Victorian-children-obsessed Sylvanian in its little cottage, before checking every single check box with a sigh of pleasure and accomplishment.

I know this has been said before but I can’t shake the feeling that Ruby may be autistic/on the autism spectrum. I’m autistic myself and I feel like I can read her from a mile away, her special interest in Victorian lit/culture/children, her intense need for routine, her need to have a script for social interaction.. I might be wrong and obviously it’s Ruby’s business but I just wanted to put this to bed here.
Either that or she has some sort of OCD - I'm 80% sure I have it and I can definitely relate to getting in a panic over the silliest things, though I wouldn't dare post that tit online...

I agree @aurevoirfelicia! She should really call them “day in the life” videos rather than routines because a routine doesn’t change every other week.

Also, I thought Marfa was at uni? Is this another super old video that she only now uploads?

I think Martha may have come back home as the situation got worse again. She did an ig live yesterday and was at home.

I will award some points to Ruby for mentioning what she showed wasn’t all she ate and specifically mentioning protein. Clearly we’ve been repeating some things enough 😂

A lot of universities have finished for Easter so that could be why Martha was home?
I only know because some of the courses at my uni has already finished.

Interesting new video by Eve Cornwell, that discusses toxic productivity, privilege, and the monetisation of productivity - I recommend watching from 8:53:

A lot of what she talks about reminds me of Ruby.

Yeah these videos are a farse. It seems that she comes up with a few ideas and then pretends like they're her actual routines. If you were to analyse all of her routine videos you would come up with the conclusion that they just don't add up. Absolutely horrid content

She's in the second semester of her second year of English Literature. She has a month or two left of this current academic year, with one year remaining.

Yeah I've heard of neither and I haven't watched the video so that sentence means nothing to me. She could be talking about anything at all

It's so messy as well. She has a huge house, I'm sure she has space to put books without leaving them on the floor or under the bed. Don't they get dusty or dirty on the floor? Especially since, knowing Ruby, I don't think she vacuums very often.

in her latest video she says she supplements in iron and D3... but not B12??

which makes me think: is her green smoothie/muddy water in the morning something with spirulina, and does she think that's an adequate source of B12???

unless she has had issues with iron deficiency, simply focusing on eating more dark leafy greens and lentils is enough to keep your levels up, and dairy milks are fortified in D3, why would she be supplementing in those but not B12??

ohh... B12 prevents chronic fatigue..... that's not very Victorian I see...

She could at least put them in a crate. When I was in a tiny room and ran out of bookshelves I had a couple of crates.

those little metal trolleys are popular now too on book tube like mini library trolleys

Perhaps this is overthinking, but as a vegan I will often substitute dairy cheese for vegan cheese in family meals, especially things like lasagne and pasta bakes. It seemed odd she didn’t do this? While it could be taste preference, I can’t help but think it yet again follows the Holly G “clean eating” trend.

she used to eat with her family right?
also isn't her family vegan too?
I wonder if they don't notice how she did a 180 from one day to the other. these behaviors usually develop overtime.
