That photo's as cluttered as her house...
Seems like the "illuminate" tool is used, that is why the shadows on the cabinet right behind her are softer than the shadows on the cabinet next to her.
You can see the border of it, in the corner of the carpet next to her.
The whole advert is hilariously fake. We know she hasn't been using the laptop for a week - eg when she had to delete the seminar preparation photo that showed her mac 
Lolll she has such a big house with so many rooms... why does she choose to sit on the floor like that? It’s not exactly aesthetic hahaha
Why is the ball still perfectly spherical? Shouldn't she be making an indent into it by leaning against it?
(Sorry, this is the silliest thing to criticize someone for. Maybe it's just more full than any exercise balls I've encountered.)
Yeh you're right though! It's the perfect spherical ball and the abrupt change in lighting from her hair to the ball that makes it look Photoshopped.

Looks like she was originally sat against the cupboard from the angle and the ball has been pasted in, which would explain the change in lighting and it being so perfectly round and also how it hasn't pushed the cupboard door shut...... But why?!

that's exactly what i thought! i don't know how this would work and it doesn't look natural. the only explanation that comes to mind is for me, that people have been criticising her for sitting on the floor so she's using that gymnastics ball to show how good for her back it actually is (still really odd anyways, why just don't sit on her ViCtOriAn bed? also i don't think victorians had these gymnastics balls)Looks like she was originally sat against the cupboard from the angle and the ball has been pasted in, which would explain the change in lighting and it being so perfectly round..... I have thought for a while that Ruby has been photoshopping her Instagram pictures. Quite a few of them don’t
look quite right, but it’s beyond me why you’d take time to photoshop in an exercise ball or some eye bags and leave a dead fly in.
She is such a weirdo.

I know it might seem bizarre
but it's part of a trend of Ruby romanticising things that really shouldn't be romanticised (eg the Victorian era), massively misinterpreting things as wholesome/inspiring (eg quotes from 1984), and regressing into childhood.
I do like the way a lot of the comments on her IG post are asking her about her Mac, and what model Mac she has. 
Maybe the photoshop in the photo is to show off how good (or bad) the laptop is for editing?

'Home university'... so basically distance learning. I didn't think she would return to Exeter this academic year, but she was adamant that she would a couple of months ago.
Two slices of cake each for her parents, but she has a tiny bowl of rice pudding... is she trying to fatten up her parents? /j
